Mom to Soon Learn if She is Legally Allowed to ‘chemically castrate’ 11-year-old Son in California Against Texas Father’s Wishes
By: Ella Ford
Published 8 hours ago.

In the heart of a contentious legal battle, a mother in California is awaiting a decision that could grant her the right to begin hormone treatments for her 11-year-old son, despite the vehement objections of the boy’s father in Texas. This case has become emblematic of a broader cultural clash over parental rights and the treatment of gender dysphoria in children.

The mother, who resides in California, believes that her son should start puberty blockers and eventually undergo hormone therapy to transition to female. The father, who lives in Texas and shares joint custody, strongly opposes this course of action. He argues that his son is too young to make such life-altering decisions and that these medical interventions are not only unnecessary but potentially harmful.
This legal skirmish underscores the stark differences between state laws regarding transgender issues and parental consent. California’s more liberal stance on these matters contrasts sharply with Texas’ conservative approach. The father’s attorney, Jeff Younger, stated that “California should not be able to castrate Texas children.” His words reflect a deep concern among conservatives about states with liberal policies overstepping their bounds and infringing upon parental rights.

The mother’s actions have also raised questions about jurisdictional authority. She reportedly took her son to California after a court in Texas had already prohibited her from administering hormone therapy without the father’s consent or a court order. According to The Post Millennial, “the mother absconded with the child from Texas after courts restricted her from ‘chemically castrating’ him.”

The National File reported on an emergency order issued by Judge Mary Brown of Dallas County which demanded the return of the child to his father’s custody. However, this order was seemingly ignored as proceedings continued in California.

Critics argue that such medical interventions for children are premature and irreversible. They point out that puberty blockers can lead to infertility and other long-term health issues. The Dallas Express quotes Walt Heyer, an advocate who underwent sex reassignment surgery and later detransitioned: “I think it’s child abuse to steal a child’s identity when they’re so young they can’t possibly understand what’s going on.”

Supporters of early intervention for gender dysphoria contend that it can alleviate psychological distress for transgender youth. However, opponents counter with concerns about whether an 11-year-old can truly comprehend the magnitude of these medical decisions.

The case has attracted national attention as it touches upon sensitive topics such as gender identity, children’s rights versus parental authority, and state versus state legal standards. It also comes at a time when several states are considering or have passed legislation restricting medical treatments for transgender youth under certain ages.

As this legal drama unfolds, many eyes will be watching how it may influence future cases involving transgender minors and parental consent across different jurisdictions within the United States. The outcome could set precedents affecting families nationwide who find themselves at similar crossroads.

While awaiting further developments in this case, one thing remains clear: debates over how best to address gender dysphoria in children continue to divide communities and challenge legal systems across America.

She will win....... I have seen CA do awful things when it comes to non-custodial parents...... they don't care. They ( CA ) are supreme and you will go to jail if you enter their state to fight this.........

I would expect the father to go to jail soon......

I assume Dad is working his ass off in TX to pay CA-awarded alimony etc or he'll lose shared custody in about 5 seconds flat.

I'm also sure he'll have a daughter in the near fiture. I'll also bet when/if the kid decides he's really a boy, everyone will look to dad to fund the corrective process.

Were it ME in that situation, the kid and I would VANISH, never to be heard from again.

I was going to say if there was ever a justification for parental kidnapping this would be it. A child is not able to make such a life changing decision for himself/herself and the mother should face charges for child endangerment. If there is nothing wrong with the kid that requires such medication let him make such a decision himself when he becomes legal age.

Watched a documentary about this in the early 2000's where a boy was catastrophically injured during circumcision... the doc then went on to convince the parents to convert him into a girl. The doc was totally wasted during the circumcision process but this being canada the gov't sided with the doc.

It did not end well at all. His identical twin brother was also scarred by this experience, of his brother being converted to a girl. After decades of being on hormones, etc., he went to Switzerland and got changed back to a male... that didn't go well either. I think he finally committed suicide.

There is no corrective process. There is no going back from what they want to do to this kid. It’s heartbreaking.

My heart breaks for this man!!!

I can see this happening more and more with partners who are ANGRY with their ex after divorce, (or forget divorce - just a break-up), to where the ex doesn't want the dad's gene pool to continue so move to California and here comes the castration. Same thing for the female kids.

...isn't the idea of going to California and hauling that little boy home, possibly leaving a trail of liberal corpses in their wake, pretty much what EVERY Texas Ranger dreams of doing? Is there a reason they're not involved?

With the amount of DNC fostered and supported child trafficking coming across the border...

Democrats...you know them by their fruits:

Yesterday, California’s Senate Democrats Rejected Bill to Make Purchasing 16, 17-year-olds for Sex a Felony.

Democrats rejected Bill authored by Sen. Shannon Grove to make the buying of children for sex a prison felony, and hijacked her bill forcing hostile amendments by denying Grove’s efforts to protect 16 and 17-year-old children from being purchased as part of commercial sex trafficking.

Under the amended bill now solicitation of 16 and 17 year-olds will remain a misdemeanor, punishable by as little as 2 days in jail or up to a $10,000 fine.

Grove’s bill would make solicitation, attempting to engage or engaging in sex with a minor for money a felony with a prison sentence ranging from 2 to 4 years, a fine not exceeding $25,000, and registration as a sex offender.

The bill would punish all those who solicit from a child, regardless of whether or not the person knew or reasonably should have known that the person solicited was a minor.

Selling anyone should be a felony....but these folks (DEMOCRATS) want kids vulnerable

Was listening to the father on a talk radio two days ago and just wow, the mother moved to California to pull this off and the state and school system is aiding the mother with pulling this off.
The kid has expressed that he was to remain a boy and the state will only allow the father to see his son if it is supervised by a state appointed shrink who in turn makes trouble for the father.
The young man in question does not under stand he need to fight and hit the state shrink with a baseball batt and hit her hard as to break bones and do the same to any state employed worker thats trying to force this sex change on him.

Not nearly as bad but still the premise and mandate is the same.

For over 15 years we was married, my son was exceptionally skilled and smart. I spent every chance I could teaching him skills and manners. At 5 years old he was 1st grade capable. But his kindergarten teacher (private school even) said he was adhd even though his intelligence was above grade level.

So my wife at the time took him to a walk in doctor who prescribed him Adderall Side Effects: Common, Severe, Long Term
Upon the teachers recommendation only!

I put my foot down and flushed the first bottle of meds. Then took the empty bottle to CPS to document the child abuse. They threatened to arrest me for child abuse because I flushed his prescribed medication.

So I had to move out, the wife also was vary abusive to me and had a history of amphetamines use. She was he'll bent on drugging my son.

After 6 months of family court and about $40k just in lawyer cost and some true child physician psychologist doctor who seen my son over 40 hours at my cost of several thousands of dollars the good POS doctor just said he just needed more time with my son to determine if he's ADHD. I said **** you!

Anyway six months later when I finally got joint custody and could spend every other weekend with him, he couldn't even ride a bike, eat with utensils, wash his self, or even correctly wipe his own arse. Before the addreall he had those things mastered and more, was vary mechanically inclined.

He did do a bit better in school went from being a C student to a B student. Only because he stopped disrupting and being bored. Adderall does keep active boys buts in chairs and content. That was the only difference.

This was in early 2000s and he's still living in the house I built and paid full in full. He's tried to get disability last I heard. Doesn't talk to me anymore. I'm a evil capitalist. His mother a socialist big time.

Anyway in California fathers are only sperm doners. The state is the children's father.

David Reimer was his name, after his de-transition.
He did commit suicide. (As did his Brother)

After a long and miserable existence.
eta: May they both rest in Peace, forgetting their tormented earthly existence.

And the vile son-of-a-***** that did it to him worked assiduously till the end cover up the actual results and to justify his decisions, claiming 'success' when it was obvious that it wasn't, likely leading to an unknown but large number of children following in the boy's footsteps. Never to my knowledge had he paid in any way for his horrific experimentation on the boy and his brother.

Anyone interested in this true story of modern horror can search "Dr. John Money" and "David Reimer", though I wouldn't doubt that some of the more horrific details are beginning to disappear from the net at this point.

The wikipedia entry is basically only a starting point into that disgusting episode.

Dr. John Money was a Professor of Pediatrics and "Medical Psychiatry" at Johns Hopkins University. (hmm where have I heard of them before??) He wrote books about his experiment. He taught other Doctors and Psychiatrists/Psychologists through his teaching and papers.

Dr. John Money was certainly directly and indirectly responsible, at least in part, for the state of affairs we are under today.

And there are still apologists for his work.

Don't you all see that the mother 'vanished' with kid to do what she wanted. Went to a friendly-evil area that is giving her support. If a parent gets any sort of hint of this kind of situation, that's when to 'kidnap' and change your identities.

But, but, but that’s not fair! This is what happens when everyone gets a trophy.
And your right.

Just add, that even though I wasn't able to take the kids out of the state of California with out family courts and or the exs permission she was able to at will and did.

Dad's are worse than scum (even if they are the bread winners and paid their child/alimony payments) they have basically no rights.

I was foolish and thought I could get full custody since I was not on any kind of government subsidies or safety net. She was and lied about her income, double dipping on all government handouts. The family court Judge laughed in my face. And made me pay her lawyer fees.

Didn’t someone just release an in-depth study that found out that 96% of the transitioned as children wanted to detransition ?
The Cass review was published last week. It was commissioned by NHS England to make recommendations on how to improve NHS gender identity services. The activist community was not happy with the review’s findings. Below is a synopsis from The Guardian.

Thanks to Cass, evidence not ideology will be used to guide children seeking gender advice

The devastating report questions the ethics of those who put young people on life-altering pathways based on little but professional hunches

Sun 14 Apr 2024 04.15 EDT

‘First, do no harm” is the sacrosanct principle that is supposed to underpin modern medicine. But history is littered with examples of medics breaching this doctrine. Last week, the publication of Hilary Cass’s final report on healthcare for gender-questioning children laid bare the devastating scale of NHS failures of a vulnerable group of children and young people, buoyed by adult activists bullying anyone who dared question a treatment model so clearly based on ideology rather than evidence.

Cass is a renowned paediatrician and her painstakingly thorough review was four years in the making. She sets out how the now-closed NHS specialist gender clinic for children abandoned evidence-based medicine for a wing and a prayer. Significant numbers of gender-questioning children – it’s impossible to know exactly how many because the clinic did not keep records, itself a scandal – were put on an unevidenced medical pathway of puberty-blocking drugs and/or cross-sex hormones, despite risks of harm in relation to brain development, fertility, bone density, mental health and adult sexual functioning.

What drove this? The medical pathway is rooted in a belief that many, perhaps even most children questioning their gender will go on to have a fixed trans identity in adulthood, and that it is possible to discern them from those for whom it is a temporary phase. But studies suggest that gender dysphoria resolves itself naturally in many children. It is often associated with neurodiversity, mental health issues, childhood trauma, discomfort about puberty, particularly in girls, and children processing their emerging same-sex attraction; a large number of children referred to the Gender Identity Development Service (Gids) were gay. Putting these children on a medical pathway does not just come with health risks, it may also pathologise temporary distress into something more permanent. Cass is also clear that socially transitioning a child – treating them as though they are of the opposite sex – is a psychological intervention with potentially lasting consequences and an insufficient evidence base, that transitioning in stealth may be harmful, and says that for pre-pubertal children this decision should be informed by input from clinicians with appropriate training.

There is a conundrum at the heart of the report. Cass finds a childhood diagnosis of gender dysphoria is not predictive of a lasting trans identity and clinicians told the review they are unable to determine in which children gender dysphoria will last into adulthood. If this is indeed impossible, is it ever ethical to put a young person on a life-altering medical pathway? If there are no objective diagnostic criteria, on what basis would a clinician be taking this decision other than a professional hunch?

The report recommends a total overhaul in the NHS’s approach to caring for gender-questioning children and young people: holistic, multidisciplinary services grounded in mental health that assess the root causes of that questioning in the round and take a therapeutic-first approach. Puberty blockers will only be prescribed as part of an NHS research trial and she recommends “extreme caution” in relation to cross-sex hormones for 16- to 18-year-olds; one might expect this to be contingent on it being possible to develop diagnostic criteria for gender dysphoria that will last into adulthood.

Cass’s vision is what gender-questioning children deserve: to be treated with the same level of care as everyone else, not as little projects for activists seeking validation for their own adult identities and belief systems. But it is going to be immensely challenging for the NHS to realise, and not just because of the parlous underfunding of child mental health services. There will be resistance among captured clinicians wedded to quasi-religious beliefs; it is astounding that six out of seven adult clinics refused to cooperate with the review on a study to shed more light on those the NHS treated as children. A senior NHS researcher at one trust told me the opposition to taking part in an uncontroversial methodology to inform better outcomes came not from the board but from some clinicians in their service, and this was unheard of in other parts of the NHS.

Cass has also commented on the intense toxicity of the debate. The fact that she says medical professionals were scared of being called transphobic, or accused of practising conversion therapy, if they took a more cautious approachin a climate where activists and charities like Stonewall were quick to level accusations of bigotry at people flagging concerns, and that NHS whistleblowers were vilified by their employer, has not only prolonged the avoidable harm that will have been caused to some young people but will make it difficult to recruit clinicians to the new service. Cass has warned ministers about the risks of the criminal ban on conversion therapy activists are pushing for; the definitional challenges risk criminalising exploratory therapy and could further increase fear among clinicians. The former chief executive of Stonewall has already endorsed the view that the Cass model is itself conversion therapy.
Given what it says about social transition, the implications of the Cass review go beyond the NHS to schools and children’s services, where there are similar pockets of ideological capture. As we report today, the parents of one child whose school facilitated their social transition without their knowledge have given Brighton council two weeks to withdraw the trans toolkit it has endorsed for use across all its schools, or face legal action in light of legal advice from the country’s leading equality and human rights lawyer, Karon Monaghan KC, that the toolkit is itself unlawful and advises schools to act unlawfully.

She sets out how it gets the law devastatingly wrong in several areas, including on safeguarding in relation to the wellbeing of gender-questioning children who want to socially transition. On single-sex spaces and sports, it wrongly advises that a child’s chosen gender identity should override their sex, which is likely to lead to unlawful discrimination against other pupils, particularly girls. This influential toolkit is in use by schools in at least several other local authorities; the parents have published the advice in full to enable other parents to challenge schools on its unlawfulness.

The Cass review is an immense achievement; it has stripped the heat out of one of the most contested areas of modern medicine and restored the role of evidence back to its rightful place. But there is a long way to go yet in unpicking the influence of a contested and controversial – yet in some cases, deeply embedded – adult ideology about gender in the way children are supported by the NHS, children’s services and schools.

When I grew up, I was diagnosed as "hyperactive", the term at the time for ADHD. Ritalin, mellaril, etc for medications. My mom took me to Le Bonheur regularly. The doctors there spent my time with visits dragging in new residents to show me off, reading college-level texts aloud while I was in fourth grade.

I wasn't disruptive in class, I was freakin' BORED. I was FAR above my classmates in knowledge, retention and comprehension. Ms. Brown, my black 4th-grade teacher, wisely put me in a corner or usually the hallway doing 6th and 7th-grade studies, which still weren't much challenge, but better. After we moved to middle TN, in 6th grade at a model school, my teacher told my mom that she was scared of me-NOT in a violent way either, just because she felt she couldn't teach me (yet, she did!).

I'm not trying to toot my own horn at all. I'm describing a descent in teaching. I was fortunate to have great teachers who would go the extra mile to keep me engaged and learning when I soaked knowledge like a sponge and it came very naturally for me. You will not find that anymore. They teach barely enough for the lowest common denominator. Many kids of ALL races are not kept engaged and don't live up to their potential.

My mother fell for all that Dr. Spock BS in the 60s, and that was the beginning of bad parenting among those parents who actually cared but got bad advice. Thank God Almighty that my dad grew up during the Depression and was old-fashioned enough to believe in hard work and discipline, and he didn't allow my mom to ruin me. However, that old-fashioned attitude did fail my sister, who was coddled too much because he took it too easy on her, gave her stuff that he wouldn't give me (such as her first car) and let mom raise her.
