BREAKING: University of Southern California (USC) is cancelling their graduation ceremony at Alumni Park which typically has over 60,000 people in attendance.

The cancellation, which was due to "security threats" came just one week after valedictorian Asna Tabassum was told she would not be delivering the traditional speech.

Tabassum was reportedly opposed by pro-Israel groups. (LA Times)

"We understand that this is disappointing," the school said.

The announcement comes after pro-Palestine protests at the school got violent this week with police.

On April 15, USC Provost Andrew T. Guzman sent out an email, saying the school was facing threats.

Guzman said attacks were of an "alarming tenor" and "escalated to the point of creating substantial risks relating to security and disruption at commencement."

WATCH: Pro-Hamas Agitators at Florida State Receive Much-Needed Sprinkler Shower with Help from Fed-Up Student

Things went south in a hurry for roughly 40 pro-Hamas protesting students at Florida State University Thursday morning, but they probably smell a little bit better after receiving a much-needed shower via the sprinklers.

As the Tallahassee Democrat reported, members of Tallahassee Students for a Democratic Society set up an encampment on Landis Green to protest Israel’s justifiable actions against Hamas. Other local organizations, such as The Freedom Road Socialist Organization, the Tallahassee Community Action Committee, and the Tallahassee Dissenters, reportedly joined the protest as well.

But campus police forced them to remove their tents, which were set up for only five minutes on the grassy space predawn due to a university rule that bars camping on university lands, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

“As an educational institution, Florida State University welcomes free inquiry, diverse thought, and rigorous debate,” FSU spokesperson Amy Farnum-Patronis told the outlet. “However, these expressions must comply with university regulation and the law.”

During the protest, the sprinklers unexpectedly turned on while the students protested, leaving them soaking wet. The agitators claimed the university deliberately set them off to discourage their protest.
A FSU spokesperson denied this saying the sprinklers turning on was a coincidence and “happens throughout the day.”
But an even more humorous thing happened when they tried to cover up the sprinklers.

One student fed up with the loony left clowns occupying the FSU campus noticed foul-smelling pro-Hamas losers trying to avoid a sprinkler shower and quickly rectified the problem.
WATCH:

Here are two heartwarming photos showing the results of this student’s and school administrators'(accidental?) efforts:

Despite the shower, The Tallahassee Democrat reports the protest carried on while FSU law enforcement stuck around to ensure the gathering did not get out of hand.

Stay away from crowds and buy more ammo.

George Soros is paying student radicals who are fueling nationwide explosion of Israel-hating protests

Isabel Vincent

George Soros and his hard-left acolytes are paying agitators who are fueling the explosion of radical anti-Israel protests at colleges across the country.

The protests, which began when students took over Columbia University’s Morningside campus lawn last week, have mushroomed nationwide.

Copycat tent cities have been set up at colleges including Harvard, Yale, Berkeley in California, the Ohio State University and Emory in Georgia — all of them organized by branches of the Soros-funded Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) — and at some, students have clashed with police.

Israel hate camps explode - funded by Soros
15
The SJP parent organization has been funded by a network of non-profits ultimately funded by, among others, Soros, the billionaire left-wing investor.

At three colleges the protests are being encouraged by paid radicals who are “fellows” of a Soros-funded group called the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR).

USCPR provides up to $7,800 for its community-based fellows and between $2,880 and $3,660 for its campus-based “fellows” in return for spending eight hours a week organizing “campaigns led by Palestinian organizations.” They are trained to “rise up, to revolution.”

The radical group received at least $300,000 from Soros’ Open Society Foundations since 2017 and also took in $355,000 from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund since 2019.

It has three “fellows” who have been major figures in the nationwide protest movement.

Nidaa Lafi, a former president of the University of Texas Students for Justice in Palestine, was seen at an encampment at UT Dallas Wednesday making a speech demanding an end to the war in Gaza.

Lafi, a former legislative intern for the late Democratic congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, graduated from the school last year with a degree in global business and is now a law student at Southern Medthodist University in Dallas.

In January, she was detained for blocking the route of President Biden’s motorcade after he arrived in Dallas for the funeral of Johnson, her former boss.

At Yale, USCPR’s fellow Craig Birckhead-Morton was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree trespassing when SJP’s branch, Yalies4Palestine, occupied the school’s Beinecke Plaza, the Yale Daily News reported.

Birckhead-Morton — also a former intern for a Democrat, Maryland rep. John Sarbanes — emerged from custody to address a sit-in blocking traffic in New Haven.

The most high-profile of the fellows is Berkeley’s Malak Afaneh, co-president of the Berkeley Law Students for Justice in Palestine.

She has been a serial speaker at an anti-Israel protest on the campus this week — which came after she first shot to prominence by hijacking a dinner at the law school dean’s home to shout anti-Israel slogans then accused the dean’s wife of assaulting her when she asked the radical to leave.

The cash from Soros and his acolytes has been critical to the Columbia protests which set off the national copycat demonstrations.

Three groups set up the tent city on Columbia’s lawn last Wednesday: Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Within Our Lifetime.

At the “Gaza Solidarity Encampment,” students sleep in tents apparently ordered from Amazon and enjoy delivery pizza, coffee from Dunkin’, free sandwiches worth $12.50 from Pret a Manger, organic tortilla chips and $10 rotisserie chickens.

An analysis by The Post shows that all three got cash from groups linked to the Soros. The Rockefeller Brothers Fund also gave cash to JVP.

The fund is chaired by David Rockefeller Jr., a fourth-generation member of the oil dynasty and gives money to “sustainable development” and “peace-building.”

And a former Wall Street banker, Felice Gelman, a retired investment banker who has dedicated her Wall Street fortune to pro-Palestinian causes, funded all three groups.

Both SJP and JVP were expelled from Columbia University in November for “threatening rhetoric and intimidation.” JVP blamed Israel for the Oct 7 Hamas terrorist attack which left 1,200 Israelis dead.

“Israeli apartheid and occupation — and United States complicity in that oppression — are the source of all this violence,” JVP said in a statement on its web site.

SJP called the terrorist strike on Israel “a historic win.”

15
Soros’ Open Society Foundations is now controlled by his son Alexander. It has been the ultimate source of funds for all three groups which set up camp on the Columbia lawn.

An analysis by The Post shows how Soros and Gelman’s cash made its way to the students through a network of non-profits which help obscure their contributions.

Soros has given billions to the Open Society Foundations which his son Alexander — whose partner is Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s top aide and the estranged wife of pervert Anthony Weiner — now controls.

In turn Open Society has given more than $20 million to the Tides Foundation, a progressive non-profit “fiscal sponsor” that then sends the cash to smaller groups.

Those groups include A Jewish Voice for Peace, which between 2017 and 2022 has received $650,000 from Soros’ Open Society. Its advisors include the academic Noam Chomsky and the left-wing feminist author Naomi Klein.

JVP has been a prominent part of the protests at Columbia and one of its student members was among a group expelled from the university for inviting the leader of a proscribed terrorist group, Khaled to the “Resistance 101” Zoom meeting.

Soros has also donated $132,000 to WESPAC, called in full the Westchester People’s Action Coalition Foundation.

The White Plains-based non-profit was founded in 1974 to rally for civil rights and against the Vietnam War but is now a major funder of anti-Israeli groups, including Within Our Lifetime and Students for Justice in Palestine.

SJP has also received funding from the Sparkplug Foundation, a New York-based non-profit run by Gelman and her husband Yoram Gelman.

The couple funneled their $20,000 donation to the group through WESPAC in 2022, according to public filings.

Gelman was previously on WESPAC’s committee for Justice and Peace in the Middle East in 2009 when she was invited to Gaza by the United Nations’ Relief and Works Agency, according to the group’s website.

The UN group has been slammed for its support of Hamas.

Gelman is on the board of the Bard Lifetime Learning Institute, an offshoot of the infamously progressive college, as well as the Jenin Freedom Theatre, located in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.

WESPAC’s president Howard Horowitz, a former Orthodox Jew, is a member of the New York chapter of JVP, which says it works for “advocacy and public education for Palestinian human rights.”

WESPAC has also given money to Within Our Lifetime, founded by the ubiquitous anti-Israeli protestor Nerdeen Kiswani.

Within our Lifetime uses a loophole in the law to avoid declaring how much it receives from donors by not being a 501(c)(3) non-profit, meaning it is unknown how Kiswani has benefitted. However WESPAC is named as a fiscal sponsor of Within Our Lifetime.

None of the groups responded to requests by The Post for comment.

The protest leader from Columbia made his hate speech rant during a disciplinary hearing. Imagine if he directed his words towards any other protected group…

@EsotericCD

What people are failing to grasp about this kid's mad hate speech rant is that the reason it's been captured on video is because he delivered it to the Columbia University administrators themselves during a disciplinary hearing. And they let him walk away right afterwards!

Conflicting information on when the hate rant was recorded. He says it was during an Instagram live. Regardless, he says he misspoke and excuses it because he “had been feeling unusually upset after an online mob targeted me because I am visibly queer and Black.” In his world being called names makes it ok to kill Zionists.

@guypbenson

“I misspoke” the @Columbia encampment leader now says—running from his explicit & proud call for Israel supporters’ deaths, in an extended on-camera rant during which he fantasized about doing the murdering himself. Damage control after his true feelings went public:

It does make you wonder why the House of Representatives is being so selective about who to investigate?

Could be a good portion of them are in the House because of Soros.

It's like they've got a conveyor belt of "useful idiots" running through campus. Step right up, folks, and get your diploma in ideological conformity!
The problem is that this conveyor belt from elite colleges leads straight to the top tier of US Govt. agencies, to the executive suites of corporate America, and eventually to being elected to Congress. Top tier jobs do not go to kids coming out of community colleges or run of the mill State colleges and no-name private colleges. Of course there is an occasional exception but generally speaking elite schools = elite careers.

DeSantis warns of potential expulsion for student protesters in Florida

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is warning college students in his state that they could be expelled if they engage in unsanctioned protests on campuses.

“At places like Columbia and Yale, Hamas protesters rule the roost, and the universities are too weak and scared to do anything — even as these mobs harass Jewish students and faculty,” the governor said in a post on the social platform X. “If you try that at a Florida university, you are going to be expelled.”

Pro-Palestinian activists have set up encampments at numerous universities across the country, including in areas that were not approved by the school.

“When you are chasing Jewish students around, when you’re not letting a Jewish professor enter a building, when you are targeting people like that, that’s not free speech,” DeSantis said. “That’s harassment. That violates appropriate conduct and yet at Columbia, Yale, all these places, those guys, those folks rule the roost.”

“You do that in Florida at our universities, we are showing you the door,” he added.

At the beginning of the Columbia demonstration last week, there was bipartisan condemnation as lawmakers and the White House called the actions at the Manhattan campus antisemitic.

Since then, numerous other schools have had encampments pop up, and hundreds of students have been arrested from coast to coast.

While schools have promised suspension or expulsion for those engaging in these protests, it is not clear how many students have faced specific punishments.

Some students have sought to call the bluffs of their schools’ administrations, not believing they will take such extreme measures.

“We think expulsion is highly unlikely; only students who have been expelled in the movement at Vanderbilt were expelled for touched (‘assaulted’) a police officer. Explusion is highly unlikely; at Princeton it requires committee and we know that at least 2 faculty members who are part of the committtee are in the Faculty for Justice in Palestine,” a document from those planning to protest at Princeton University read.

Andrew Cuomo’s op-ed on the Columbia protest from yesterday’s Wall Street Journal. I think he’s gearing up to run for Mayor of NYC.

Antisemitism at Columbia University Is a Disgrace - WSJ

April 25, 2024 4:16 pm

What is happening at Columbia University is a disgrace. That it is happening in New York, home to more Jews than any other city in the world, and at a supposed institution of higher learning, makes it incomprehensible.

I understand the right to free speech, the guarantees of the First Amendment, the value of robust debate at academic institutions. But freedoms aren’t without limits, and much of what is going on at Columbia isn’t speech at all. Threats, terror tactics and menacing conduct don’t warrant protection.

Protesters have every right to make their voices heard. The war in Gaza, the politics of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government and the elusiveness of Middle East peace are frustrating. These complicated issues should be discussed and debated. That isn’t the issue at Columbia. Many of the protesters aren’t pro-Palestinian. They are pro-Hamas and brazenly support a terrorist organization. The protesters are entitled to their opinions, even if they embrace undemocratic, bigoted, sadistic, warmongering thugs. They aren’t entitled to threaten, harass and menace. That isn’t protected speech; it’s criminal conduct.

Most infuriating is the response of Columbia’s administration. Jews are at risk on campus and are told not to come to class—remote learning will be available. Meantime supporters of jihad take over university property and nosh on pizza.

Seriously? The answer is for the Jews to flee campus? Imagine, in the wake of 9/11, if New Yorkers had been told to vacate the city because pro-al-Qaeda protesters were disrupting daily activities, threatening violence and posing a danger. That is Columbia’s approach: See you next fall, Jews.

It is the university’s responsibility to ensure its students are safe. Use campus security. If that is inadequate, use the New York City Police Department. And if protesters break the law, arrest, prosecute and expel them.

History can’t be allowed to repeat itself. The war on the Jews that led to the Holocaust started subtly. Telling Jews to stay away is shockingly reminiscent of what took place in the 1920s and 1930s in Germany. Jews were excluded from businesses, social activities and, yes, universities. At the same time, frightened politicians are already abandoning support of Israel for fear of political reprisal.

This must stop. The Jewish community needs support in its efforts to mobilize. This is no time for hand wringing. Regardless of one’s views on Gaza, reasonable people need to open their eyes and understand this isn’t about the Middle East; it is about America and our democracy. It is time for full-throated public support for education about the history of Jews, antisemitism, Israel and the origins of the Palestinian conflict. It is time for New Yorkers to speak with a single voice in support of our Jewish brothers and sisters and to demand that Columbia and others, by their words and actions, reject antisemitism and discrimination against Jews.

The greatest threat on campus is an ignorant mob, and the greatest threat to the country more broadly is cowardly indifferent leaders.

Mr. Cuomo, a Democrat, served as governor of New York, 2011-21.

Watch: Drag Queen Makes Tiny Kids Chant "Free Palestine"

Authored by Steve Watson via Modernity.news,
Video has emerged of a drag queen leading children barely older than toddler age in chanting “Free Palestine” during a so called “Queer Storytime for Palestine” event in Massachusetts.

The event, featuring a drag queen going by the name of ‘Lil Miss Hot Mess’, took place earlier this month at the Northampton Center for the Arts.

The event was advertised by the organisers as “dancing, celebrating Palestine culture, learning about queer heroes and doing arts and crafts.”

According to the hosts, Valley Families for Palestine, profits from the event were donated to alQaws, a Palestinian organisation that is “working for queer liberation.”

Video captured at the event shows ‘Hot Mess’ reading her book titled “If You’re a Drag Queen and You Know It,” and ordering the kids “If you’re a drag queen and you know it shout ‘Free Palestine.'”

First off, gay people are at best severely disrespected, and at worst murdered in Gaza and other Palestinian areas. In terms of how gay-friendly it is, The LGBT Equality Index ranks Palestine as 192 out of 197 countries. Syria, Somalia and Yemen are ranked as more open to homosexuality.

It’s safe to say that a drag queen encouraging American kindergarteners to say ‘free Palestine’ is not really going to shift the needle as far as that situation is concerned.

Secondly, these children are clearly being subjected to a double dose of ideological and political indoctrination.

What’s next? Queer Palestine vaccine furry Ukraine drag queen story time?

Who in their right minds are taking their kids to this kind of thing? What do they expect will come of it?

DNC managed chaos...

BREAKING NEWS: George Soros is paying left-wing activists to head up camp outs at colleges across America - as huge wads of cash they're getting are shared. Three of the major figures in the pro-Palestine encampments in universities are fellows at the Soros-funded US Campaign for Palestinian Rights, the New York Post reports.

USCPR 'community-based' fellows are paid up to $7,800 for their labor, while 'campus-based' fellows are given between $2,880 and $3,660 for spending eight hours a week organizing 'campaigns led by Palestinian organizations.'

The organization instructs its fellows to 'rise up' and spark 'revolution,' while specifically telling them to reject 'reform.' It has received at least $300,000 from Soros' Open Society Foundations since 2017.

Soros did the same with Antifa and BLM, this is an active attack on America.
