Apparently setting stage for idea it's no longer 'taboo'

Iranian officials have stepped up their open threats about a coming "nuclear" breakout, apparently in an effort to acclimate the international community to the idea that an Iranian nuclear weapon no longer is "taboo."

A new report from the Middle East Media Research Institute explains the talk has escalated ever since Iran's April 14 drone and missile attack on Israel.

They are coming "against the backdrop of statements by International Atomic Energy Agency director general Rafael Grossi" that the rogue regime is weeks rather than months away from having enough enriched uranium for a bomb.

"Hints, and even warnings, that Iran will be changing its declared nuclear doctrine from civilian to military, and will act to develop nuclear weapons, have come from the following officials: IRGC Brig. Gen. Ahmad Haq Taleb, who is in charge of security for Iran's nuclear facilities; Javad Karimi Ghadossi, a member of the National Security Committee in the Majlis; Abdallah Ganji, a member of the government's informational council; Saeed Lilaz, reformist activist who served as advisor to Iranian President Mohammad Khatami (1997-2005); and Mahmoud Reza Aghamiri, president of Beheshti University who is himself a nuclear scientist. Also issuing these hints and warnings were various Iranian media outlets," MEMRI documented.

In fact, a website, Asr-e Iran, has confirmed Iran can produce a nuclear warhead and "it would do so and would use it in its next missile attack on Israel."

Abdallah Ganji of Iran's government also said in a subsequent publication Iran "was in direct war against the Western nuclear powers and that the smallest mistake on their part could prompt Iran to change its nuclear program."

The West long has been concerned about Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon, as it's been working that direction for years. Under Barack Obama, the U.S. send billions of dollars in cash to Iran and entered an agreement, but it effectively did little to limit Iran, and President Donald Trump withdrew America from the pact.

The problem is that Iran's stated intent is to wipe Israel off the map, a direct threat to America's primary ally in the Middle East.

Later, MEMRI reported, the general in charge of securing Iran's nuclear operations said his country who act to produce a nuclear weapon if there was a threat from Israel, which long has been believed to possess nuclear armaments.

And Javid GArimi Ghadossi, a national security member, said on social media it would take Iran only "a week" to be ready for a first nuclear test.

Further, MEMRI reported, "Regime officials have frequently mentioned the nonexistent nuclear fatwa attributed to Supreme Leader Khamenei that they say bans the production of nuclear weapons ... This has been in order to lay to rest the international community's fears about Iran's development of its nuclear program."

But Iranian officials now are saying that can be changed at any time.

In addition, Hooshang Amirahmadi, of Rutgers University and founder of the American Iranian Council, has called for Iran to declare that Islam does not ban nuclear weapons they should be produced as a "deterrence" against Israel.

MEMRI noted, "The proliferation of these messages from so many Iranian sources within a short span of time calling for producing nuclear weapons for 'self defense' indicate a new line of policy, decided in advance and supported by Iran's leadership."

Iran if allowed to continue, will one day hold the world hostage. And keep doing so as their desires change. Sort of like North Korea. One day it’ll be food. One day oil. One day religion. What ever idea comes into their head., They will take out Israel. The Israelis will be offered a choice. Leave or die.
All of this kicking the can down the road and appeasement will come to roost. When Iran sells its tech to North Korea, that will just expand the problems.

Heck, there was a bunch of reliable reporting back in the mid/late 90's that Iran had bought 3 warheads from one of the former Soviet Republics (after the breakup of the USSR). I want to say Tajikistan, but maybe Kazakhstan. Either way, they got the warheads and only needed to develop the missile delivery systems and match them up. Oh wait... Iran now has long range missiles... So to me, whether or not they have developed their own warheads is irrelevant.

They are indoctrinated by their religion to feel it is a moral duty to do so. That is what makes them different, they don't really care if they gain more territory, or "stuff" they just want everyone under Islam. Whatever that takes. And it has to be their form of Islam. The whole Shia Sunni thing. They will conquer their own and demolish the apostates.

We have nukes as a deterrence, Russia has nukes as a deterrent from USA, China from both, North Korea is an odd ball who just yammers a lot for whatever reason, they do not have an agenda, other than their leaders are grandiose.

Iran/Muslim is different. THEY HAVE to take over the world for their god. And they hate Israel with a passion, a long standing biblical fight that goes way back in time. They feel they have to wipe out Israel and subdue everyone else. IF they die in the process, so be it. They get to Heaven for sure dying as martyrs to their god. How do you fight an ideology like that? It's the prefect storm.

Just don't
WND and MEMRI have been warning us about this since at least 2003. Even if Iran has nukes, they also have enough brains to realize that using them would mean the end of Iran as a nation. It'll never happen.

Iran is in the same position as early Cold War planners. The overriding question they face, is the resolve to “use it, or lose it,” when war is either most advantageous, or when it is inevitable. Iran is rapidly reaching that line separating existence from total annihilation. Israel will be judged by the world as genocidal.

There is no justice in the world- until Jesus comes.

We posted a week or two ago that some Iranian mp were claiming if/when the supreme leader gave permission they'd only need a week to test a nuclear bomb. . .

if it hadn't been directly from the horses mouths, so to speak, I'd expect it was some Israel/Israel affiliate trying to stoke the flames of fear that iran was increasingly dangerous in order to garner some support for Israel taking a harder blow against them. . .

Russia had better watch or consider their alliances. Russia is in no better boat that the west. Iran and the Muslim world will one day turn their eye on Russia. Iran will not fear Russian nukes, if they have their own. It’s hard to beat an enemy that will send its children out as suicide bombers.
Iran will not allow a Christian enclave to exist, once they start their purge.

IMO, Iran will not send a warhead by air (missile or plane) because of Israel’s robust AD system. My money is on warheads loaded in ambulances or trucks and driven to target. Israel is the size of Delaware. Two detonations at once at populated border checkpoints and with no warning is enough to knock Israel off balance enough to inflict further strikes.

Lol. Do you know the ORIGINAL version of the Samson Option? It was a threat by Israel to use suitcase nukes, supposedly already hidden, in most major Western captials, and including Moscow. Every Western capital was under threat of nuclear terrorism if they really pissed off Israel.

I came across this info in the 90's; I have no idea if it was out earlier than that, public knowledge wise.

Perhaps Iran being nuclear armed brings more of a Balance of Power to the M.E.? I'm not saying it would, but I've wondered about it.

If I’m not mistaken, nuclear weapons require a great deal of maintenance. Specialized parts, tools, etc. much more than you’d find in radio shack. How were all of these suit case nukes serviced over the years? The thought that Iran, a terrorist nation being nuclear armed would bring balance to the Middle East is ludicrous. The west is concerned that Iran could possible close the straits of Hormuz with boats akin to the ss minnow keeps people awake a night. Imagine if they had NW.

I never said they were still functional. As you just said, I've often thought they were maybe obsolete by now. The theft/sale of the suitcase nukes by the dozens (hundreds?) were made public in the 90's, from Soviet arsenals as the Soviet Union melted down. And the stories surfaced then. I heard of the Samson Option in the 90's after the Soviet Union collapsed. Close to 30 years ago. I'll go with what I read and heard then; since 99% of my fellow Citizens still haven't heard of it even today.

The USA has been running nuke sniffer planes over the USA for a couple of decades now. Looking for a few pounds of low grade material from jihadi's? Or State actors?

Ludacris? We haven't had a serious war in Europe, even in the Balkans, for the entirety of my life, until the morons and satanists took over, completely, the last few years.

Why no major war in the War capital of the last 400 years, Europe, since 1945? Balance of Power. Mutually Assured Destruction.

As for boats the size of minnows; I guess you have missed the entire part of Iran having tens of thousands of missiles since the 90's, and now have hundreds of thousands including super and hypersonic missiles in the thousands if not more.

You just aren't keeping up. Carrier fleets are now obsolete against peer to peer or near to peer opponents. For all those that laughed at the Russian ships that have gotten sunk with drones, well that is the fate of OUR fleets and ships if we take on a well supplied and high tech adversary, and that includes Iran. Time to wake up.

Iran had caves and missiles well dug in along their part of the straights for over 27 years now.
