There has been such a significant amount of "thrashing" lately regarding embedding videos and pics that I decided to go check the "how-to" thread in the test forum. I found it grossly out-of-date, so I created a new one.

I'm just using the BB codes since I'm on a phone.

the little icons are simply shortcuts. They surround your pasted URLs with the appropriate BB Codes. If one knows those codes, one doesn't need to click the icons.

And I have to remember to leave a bare URL for youtubes for you since you're on a phone.

I've been using BB codes, but I didn't know how to use the icons.

I used to code HTML by hand back before there were decent editors, so BB codes make sense to me.

IT just advanced too fast for me. I sort of got Office mastered and now we're up to Office 365 and Excel requires a week-long seminar just to do a simple payroll sheet.

I picked up a fully working license key for MS Office Enterprise for $20 on eBay. Yup. It worked. Downloaded the matching version f software from MS and “wallah!” (Heh)

It's great, but I do contract work where I'm mandated to use the latest flavor of MS Office. I'm looking forward to retiring so I can unhook from the Evil Empire.
