Couple cold winters, expensive electricity rates, and the failure to run the world as it is now will change the greenies minds.
I just don't see tractor trailers, trains, planes, cargo ships all running on solar at the capacity a combustion powered vehicle will. Their goals of getting rid of oil are too aggressive. We need better solar and battery technology, super infrastructure upgrades, or come up with another source of power. Hydrogen? Mini fusion reactors?

Ask yourself two questions:
1. What countries are actually pushing the "green agendas"?
2. If one controls the supply of said hydrocarbons, and the "demand" goes down, and one controls not only volume of production but the price, then does it matter how much "demand" goes down or up?

If demand from the "western world" (the only ones that are pushing the "green" goes down, that means that they can cut production, raise the price (for whatever reasons), AND have their oil that they are not refining in the ground over there longer (ie sell it or use it themselves later).

How much have the "sanctions" against Russia, hurt Russia?
How about the "sanctions" against other countries?
Who have they hurt?

What are they doing? Laughing themselves silly over the collective stupidity of their customers. When going green falls flat on its face and the survivors come crawling back to them for fuel, it will cost ten times what we currently pay and they'll laugh themselves silly some more.

They are not stupid. They know the green tech approach to an imaginary crisis is BS. They know they have a very secure future of growing demand for more and more petroleum.

One thing for sure. Russia and Texas have all the oil they need for at least the next 400 years. Everyone else had better get ready to pucker up.
