Another traitorous piece of crap has outed himself as working in the shadows against country and US President during the 2020 fraudulent election coup d’etat.

Former Trump White House Lawyer Confirms He Quietly Sabotaged 2020 Election Challenge

In a court hearing regarding the debarment of Jeffrey Clark, who plaid a key role in former President Donald Trump’s attempt to challenge the outcome of the 2020 election, former Deputy White House Counsel Patrick Philbin confessed to leading the resistance against the effort by organizing a mass resignation threat to undermine the president.

Just days before January 6th—when Congress was scheduled to certify the results of the 2020 election in Biden’s favor—Trump began to put into motion a plan to replace the Department of Justice head with Jeffrey Clark, a lower-level DOJ official who was expected to halt the process in Trump’s favor.

It was at this point that Philbin called up Clark to try to convince him otherwise. In his testimony—the first public testimony he has offered since the Capitol riot—Philbin explained that he had worked alongside Clark in private practice during the 1990s.

“I tried to explain to him that it was a bad idea for multiple reasons,” Clark said at the hearing. “He would be starting down a path of assured failure … If by some miracle somehow, it worked, there’d be riots in every major city in the country and it was not an outcome the country would accept.”

Both Philbin and former acting deputy attorney general Richard Donoghue, who gave testimony just before Philbin, argued Clark had succumbed to conspiracy theories.

Philbin went into his conversations with Clark viewing him as woefully misinformed about the 2020 election, and dangerously naïve regarding the aftereffects that would be caused by contesting the outcome.

“I believe that he felt that he essentially had a duty,” Philbin said. “I think Jeff’s view was that there was a real crisis in the country and that he was being given an opportunity to do something about it.”

Philbin then claimed at least partial credit for orchestrating the threat of mass resignation to resist Trump’s appointment of Clark. Taking his cue from a similar effort under the Bush administration, Philbin fanned the flames of rebellion to DOJ through acting attorney general Jeff Rosen. Almost every major DOJ official put up threats to resign, which influenced Trump to ultimately give up on the contest.

Philbin then called Clark again to inform him about the mounting discontent. “We talked about some of the theories of fraud that were around. They’d been debunked and there wasn’t really any there-there,” Philbin said. “If the president made him acting attorney general … people at DOJ would probably resign, there’s going to be just a massive wave of resignations. People weren’t going to be following him to pursue these theories of fraud.”

Philbin said he would have resigned had it come to that point. “It was not a course of action that I could countenance,” he explained. “I thought there was not a justification for it. It was a sufficiently bad idea and unjustified interference with the completion of the Electoral College count. I wouldn’t want to be there in the White House any longer participating in that.”

How alone President Trump must have felt... still feel! What an array of evil has set themselves against him!

I wonder what would have happened if Trump had called their bluff, stood firm, and then explained how the traitors had attempted to blackmail the President and subverted the process to have a fair election.

He could have a PowerPoint presentation and give each one of the traitors nicknames, as only he can do!

The diehard Never Trumpers will have the vapors and the CDC will announce a "10 years or bust" campaign to develop a ButtHurt cream which also helps erase the memories of how many people laughed and jeered. They are having little luck so far.

Agree with your sentiments on President Trump. I believe the only entity that protected him and kept him going was God.

As Dave on X22 explains it, if Trump had come out THEN and called their bluff, the DS would have physically put their attack dogs out in every state to have hand-to-hand civil war, and the DS would have set off suitcase nukes and thousands of innocent people would have died, without really understanding why. The people didn't know then the kind of administration they're dealing with now.

Don't know if I buy or agree with the above because I think we'll all still be in hand-to-hand civil war with suitcase nukes going off, with the only difference being is that NOW, more people will understand the evil coming after them.

The country has been on a "pay now or pay later" continuum for quite some time in many different aspects.

This is but another example.

No mention of why the lawyer faced disbarment.

"plaid" instead of "played"

Journalism is dead.

The whole point of the piece was to reiterate there was "no there, there".

The hidden agenda was to suggest violence would be Trump's fault. I humbly suggest folks watch the upcoming movie "Civil War" with a very clinical and cynical attitude.

Clinical&Cynical. That could go on hats and tshirts...

We knew it had to be something like this!

President Trump, at a certain point, seemed to just stop fighting…now we know why.

Many conservatives faulted Trump for not pushing and fighting more, but he likely had other traitors around him telling him the same thing…not just the DOJ bung holes.

These real question is … how many are left on both sides that aren’t traitors?

One would think that he now knows who he can trust ( nobody). He needs to be very careful if getting his next term. He will be torn between doing what he promised and MAGA … and going after the evil doers and thugs in government. Otherwise they’ll set him up and undermine him again. How many impeachments this time?

Trying to remove illegal invading terrorists … watch how the left fights that. Every phone call, room, space, all being listened upon, including the utilization of officials and foreign governments to trap him. Surely they are already setting a trap.

I'm not surprised as it seems many within the White House got trump to do things that should not have happened like appointing government insiders to office that ended up stabbing Trump and country in the back.

Its why I have no hope for a second Trump term- he cannot physically enforce anything- what happens when you give a command and nobody follows? Nothing- then you are exposed as a powerless weenie and all notions of your power go poof!

The normal bureaucrat salary.
YOU paid. You inconsequential tax-payer.

Ideologues don't need much extra motivation. Either side of the political aisle is susceptible to the security of the status quo...
might not need extra motivation but I bet he got it.

How much was he paid and by whom?
I suspect that he was a (covert, maybe) 'political hire' by the DS and he was and is ideologically supportive of the DS, simply because he knows that's the only reason they put his turtle ass up on that fence post, and to all of a sudden grow a patriotic spine would cause him to not lose a bonus, but lose his base pay. Amazing what all you can twist a 'affirmative action' type to do without promising anything above what they're getting, unearned, at the present.

...kind of makes me wonder about the "they're going to let Trump win to hand him World War III" concept. Because with all of this coming out, a new President Trump, who plays by Biden's rules, will end in a trail of corpses.

Pride comes before the fall.....Pride month ended.
Many will trade action for a little status. Status is huge, money is alway's on the horizon for them....if not trips to some Island for some fun and games....etc. The look on his face above is one of status, amongst others.

Saved, to glorify God.
It seems to me to be HIM who should be on trial for disbarment! What a TRAITOR to his client, the President
Of the United States, his nation, and the voters!
He should get 20 years at hard labor. AT LEAST, in addition to disbarment! This nobody legal puke who took it upon himself to defy his oath and cause total upheaval of the nation should actually be put to death for his TREASON.

Regarding Sabotage in the former administration, it would seem that "Guilty until proven Innocent" would be the most likely to be correct.
