Just hours after reports that embattled Democratic Dolton, Illinois Mayor Tiffany Henyard was under investigation by the FBI, multiple local businesses were said to be raided by local police.

On Tuesday, FOX 32 reported that six individuals have spoken to the FBI about Henyard’s conduct, including business owners, a former village employee and one or more public officials. One complained of difficulties renewing his business license, claiming to suffer from harassment, a raid on his business and being shut down by Dolton police. The U-Haul rental and trucking business owner believed it was retaliation after he refused to donate to a civic event sponsored by Henyard.

FOX 32 reported Wednesday that multiple bars in the town were raided by police the day after the news team visited the businesses amid allegations their licenses were being held up for political reasons. The raids reportedly occurred mere hours after FOX 32’s report about the alleged FBI investigation into Henyard’s conduct was released.

"Someone seen you go in there. And then two hours after your story aired, the police are at both of these establishments," said Tammie Brown, a Dolton trustee, told FOX 32.

Brown went on to suggest that the raids were done as a warning to other businesses: "I'm sure that they were asked to donate, make a donation, and most likely they didn't make a donation. So you don't get a chance to stay open if you don't pay the queen's ransom."

"They just rushed in here. Put police at the front door like they were doing a raid on a drug house or something," Sevone Garfield, the security director of Pablo's Cafe and Bar, said.

George Mseeh, owner of Pablo's Cafe and Bar, recalled things were peaceful with "nothing going on." Then, he said, "Like 10 police cars come in and they start pushing customers from here. And he said if you don't leave, we're gonna lock you up."

FOX 32 reported, "Employees and owners say it's part of an ongoing campaign of harassment by Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard that is costing jobs and money. Their business licenses have been stripped by Dolton, but they've continued to operate with a state license."

The Village of Dolton reportedly defended the legitimacy of the raids in a public statement: "The businesses in question both had a hearing with the liquor commission last month and the licenses were revoked at that time. The businesses have a history of violent incidents with patrons and were considered a nuisance to the residents in the community. These businesses are unable to operate without the license."

Henyard is said to have a close relationship with the local police force.

According to WGN, "Mayor Henyard’s considerable police security detail, which is said to include four to five police squad vehicles or large, unmarked SUVs like Secret Service transport vehicles, according to a witness."

Brittney Norwood, a trustee in the Village of Dolton, told Fox News Digital last month Henyard spends hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on security, which effectively takes police officers off the streets who should be protecting the town.

"I think that she spends the money on security because she just loves it. She likes the thought of being surrounded by police officers. I think it makes her feel more important," Norwood said. "The police are simply working under her instructions, but it's also sad. It's sad because we need the police patrolling the streets, and they're with her instead."

Former Dolton Police Chief Robert Collins, who was fired by Henyard, told FOX 32 in another report that Henyard's personal police security detail is not only overblown, but used for unrelated tasks.

"We needed those officers to be on the street fighting crime. Instead, we have several officers that are riding around protecting the mayor," Collins said.

"Officers would be sent out to run errands, do pick-ups, do drop-offs. Whatever the case would be," he went on to claim.

Fox News Digital previously reported that the mayor, accused of antics so wild she deserves her own TV show, has been living like a royal, making frequent use of beauty vendors. She reportedly has a combined salary of nearly $300,000 — more than the state's governor — while the median income for the 23,000 residents of the small town is $24,000.

Henyard went on a tirade in a public meeting earlier this month, declaring, "I’m the leader," and slammed fellow officials by saying that despite the fact "y’all are Black" they were nonetheless "beating and attacking on a Black woman that’s in power" over her spending.

The Democrat had also previously posted an Instagram video of herself chatting with President Biden at the White House on Jan. 19.

Heyward and the Dolton police did not respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital in time for publication.

Anyone surprised????

No, not surprised at all. IIRC there is/was a black focused soap serial on FOX TV called Empire, seems like she's taking notes from that show.

Now where these white owned businesses, or black owned, seems the thread about her here yesterday she had pizzed off a lot of blacks and she basically told them to shut up and get their azzes back onto the plantation.

One of the bar & restaurant owners was on TV making his point and he is black.
There is also a group of people whose job it is to over see money that is spent and much more and they are after her too.
I'm betting we will be hearing she is looking at 15 to 20 years for what she has done and unable to track down where a lot of money went.

Remember who was in that show?

A whole bunch of black actors, most of which I do not know simply because I don't follow the serial type shows in the evening... I'm more of a home and garden DIY tv show type person. The only reason I know about the show is it came up in my reels on facespy, so I looked it up. It kinda reminds me of the show my mom used to watch called Dallas, IIRC, only with a stronger gangster/cartel feel.

Good question, last I knew our mayor is unpaid, though elected it’s still considered a voluntary position.

Ya gotta miss the Families in things today.
The things that would have been handled MUCH more cleanly are legion.

Yes we might have had to mourn a Governor or Senator or two, but hell the Buses, Trains, and Planes would run on time and customer service would be VERY important to the companies, unlike today.

Notice not one Dolton cop has the ethics to step forward?

Cops always seem to cover for each other, no matter what. Especially when they are all dirty.

Fine, strip their qualified immunity and take down the mayor and her whole cabal.

cliff hangers was the plot of the show.

every episode ended with a cliffhanger.

I remember as a youngster, working at the local fair

hawking trinkets and buttons etc.

the most popular button, that season, was

"I wish I'd shot JR"

JR's shooting was the season ending cliffhanger

I thought, what if, in the future,

some archeologist digs up the spoils of our civilization

and discovers the button.

"ya know Earl, these sumbitches was a violent bunch, no wonder they went extinct"

Democratic Illinois 'super mayor' vetoes attempt to probe her lavish spending

Illinois mayor gained national attention after accusations of misspending taxpayer money on luxury trips and weaponizing police

FOX 32 reports there is new information indicating the FBI has launched an investigation into controversial Dolton Mayor and Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard.

Democratic Mayor Tiffany Henyard of the small Village of Dolton, Illinois, vetoed a resolution on Monday by a local board calling for an external probe to be launched into her alleged misuse of funds.
The self-described "super mayor," who has gained national attention for being accused of spending taxpayer money on luxurious trips and weaponizing police in retaliatory business raids, slammed last month’s vote by the Dolton, Illinois, village board as being illegal and driven by personal attacks from a "boys club."
She vowed to "fight back" against the alleged smear campaign against her in which she has been accused of traveling on first-class flights to Las Vegas, spending hefty amounts at beauty vendors and splashing over $1 million on a police detail despite the small village having a population of around 23,000 people.

The resolution she vetoed also called for her to submit the village's financial records.

"As you can see, our village, our community, myself, we are under attack," Henyard said at the village board meeting on Monday.

"It’s a shame that people can come to meetings and just tell one side of the stories and not get the entire side of both stories."
She claimed that the village board was "a boys club" that doesn’t want women like her leading.
"I’m going to always fight for what’s right, and I always stay the course. And I will be victorious when all the dust clears," she added.
Henyard said she is launching a podcast on Friday that will explain all the town’s finances.

"It will be all facts, receipts," she said, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Dolton Trustees slammed the mayor at last month’s vote for having "disgraced this entire village" and being a "stain on our community."
They vowed to override her veto during next month’s meeting.

During the village board meeting, it was revealed that Dalton owes more than $427,000 for street paving and another $400,000 for tree-trimming services, local WGN 9 reports.
WGN 9 reported last month that a bank threatened to repossess more than a dozen village vehicles – including police cars – because lease payments were missed. After the report was published, the village sent a check to pay the bills.
"The mayor can blame everybody for what’s going on, but she has to look at herself," former trustee Edward Steave said during Monday’s meeting.

Resident Vivian Allen called for Henyard to step down to save Dolton's finances.
"You lied to us as residents. You do not, you do not stand for me," Allen said. "And I want you to step down as mayor today and save our village from this deficit you have caused."

Mayor Tiffany Henyard yelled at fellow officials recently after questions were raised about spending and transparency.
Despite the veto, FOX 32 has confirmed that the FBI is questioning people in relation to Henyard’s activities. Six individuals have reportedly spoken to the agency about her alleged misconduct, including business owners, a former village employee and one or more public officials.

For instance, according to FOX 32, a Dolton-based U-Haul rental and trucking business owner named Lawrence Gardner said he went to the FBI out of frustration that the Village of Dolton would not renew his business license. He claims he has suffered from harassment, a raid on his business and being shut down by Dolton police. Gardner believes it is retaliation after he refused to donate to a civic event sponsored by Henyard.
A public relations firm responding on behalf of Henyard told FOX 32 late last month that she had not been contacted by the FBI so far. The FBI previously told Fox News Digital it does not comment on the nature, existence or nonexistence of any investigation that may be occurring.

Fox News Digital previously reported that Henyard has been living like a royal with a combined salary of nearly $300,000 – more than the state's governor – and frequent use of beauty vendors, despite the residents of the Illinois town having a median income of $24,000. Henyard has also come under fire for various tirades in public meetings, accusing her critics among local leaders of "beating and attacking on a Black woman that’s in power."
She makes $285,000 from her positions both as Dolton mayor and Thornton township supervisor.

Henyard reportedly has a $224,000 a year salary as township supervisor alone, but has put forth an ordinance to cut the salary of any non-incumbent supervisor to $25,000.
Municipal attorney Burt Odelson, said to represent Henyard's political opposition, condemned this as "so illegal in so many ways," telling FOX 32 such conduct "violates so many tenets of the law."
Henyard has insisted God "chose" her and she met with President Biden in January.

I don't think this sheboon mayor understands that she very well could be looking at a RICO investigation especially after attempting to shake down business owners to either donate or else... Embarrass the true powers that be ms "supermayor" and you'll find out just how expendable you are.
