I am anti abortion. But you are spot on. It is the one issue that will bring voters out to vote against trump. He is right on states rights. But does not matter. Unless the republicans say they are pro abortion. Women’s choice. We will have a blue waive and the winners will eventually force Abortion rights on all 50 states. So…by if Republicans say they are pro abortion..may salvage some states remaining Anti abortion If they can win presidency house and senate. they Need to reverse this az ruling. it Is prob already too late. They don’t care he says state Rights. That means anti abortion to them. Let it go…or we will be in a living hell on earth for conservatives. My 2 cents.

yea..it is not smart for a Bunch of people who will never get pregnant to be one issue voters on something that does not actually impact them. But..we can’t change this. Sadly. seems they would rather live in a third world corrupt hell hole than give up abortion rights.
We are definitely on the same page. You nailed it too!

But coming from a Presidential Candidate, not only does it carry influence, much more than I can muster for sure, it makes for that Candidate as a flip flopper for votes.
In saying that the SC was correct in leaving this to the states, I didn't give a second's thought to who might gain or lose votes by it. Maybe I'm not political enough. :)

Honestly, all the AZ legislators have to do is repeal the older law. Or put an addendum on the newer one allowing it to override the older one.

Same as the situation in AL.

But the legislators are afraid to do it.

I can look at abortion several ways.

I feel that life begins at conception, no discussion. Politically it is a states rights issues (10th amendment), no discussion on that either.

Who gets abortions? (Your Answer). Let them have at it.

God says in the end time, that door to heaven is closing quickly. Jesus told the disciples to brush off their feet and move on if the people don’t listen. As Christians we can plant the seed, but we can’t force salvation on anyone. God will take care of the little children on either side and he will also deal with the murderer, good or bad, again not my problem.

Saved, to glorify God.
"Nearly all abortions SHOULD be forbidden, except for the physical life of the mother endangered, baby dead, nonviable defomaties in the baby, or ectopic pregnancy,

There is Nothing wrong with AZ's current abortion law.
Nothing.
And it should be adopted throughout the USA and the world.

In the last 4 years, our side has lost every single special election, especially in ruby red states, and also tied to some midterm races, because of abortion. We're in the minority with this issue. Plus, there are A LOT of Pro Life Keyboard Warriors out there that just DON'T go and vote when they're supposed to. See Wisconsin election for their Supreme Court Judge. See Ohio where we lost by like 13 points!!! Low turn out on our side. Pathetic.
Also, Too many women out there want their own say so and you aren't going to change those minds. I'm Pro Life but I also see both sides. I've had friends that had abortions; doesn't make it right, but I still tried to be there for one and change her mind as she had no close friends. She ended up having 3 of them in her college days.
For the next 6 months, the left will run endless abortion rights ads everywhere in these battleground states where it's up for vote in November. They'll make sure every college campus has voted. I've been living on hopium and intervention by God to get Trump and the R's across to keep the House (have to win the House or the Dems won't allow him to be seated by vote). I've now lost all my hopium. Unless God supernaturally intervenes, November will seal a permanent Democrat majority for good.
I have thought a lot about what you said, and is the reason for the delay.

And have to disagree.

We should stand on the side of right, no matter the outcome, or the consequences that come with it.

And I might add it's not about changing minds, it about standing for what is right.

Whether its a D or an R I will not stand with them on abortion, if they are pro-abortion. Even if I am the only one voting against them I will not bend on this. Might loose the R's all day long, so be it.

And I might add that if all the laws of the land grant abortion, the consequences that WILL come from that, will effect the entire country including me, and they will come, and I might add has been coming, on this country ever since Roe v Wade. Then so be it.

Conveyance and an easy life should not be a deterrence to doing what is right.

I am mean and heartless but not quite an evil man.
But even I do not like living where people can kill children.

Update:

Arizona House Republicans fended off another attempt on Wednesday to repeal an 1864 law that limits nearly all abortions — a law that the Arizona Supreme Court recently upheld over a new 15-week abortion limit.

However, the Arizona Senate left open the door for repealing the 1864 law after two Senate Republicans voted with Democrats to let a repeal effort move forward, according to the report.

“In total, three Republicans in competitive districts joined Democrats to support repeal,” Axios reported. “The razor-thin margins, 30-30 in the House and 16-14 in the Senate, illustrate the tensions that the ruling has generated in this battleground state.”

Senate Republicans’ communications director Kim Quintero told reporters the Senate could do a first reading of the new bill on Wednesday, but the final repeal vote could come as soon as two weeks.

“Even if the repeal ultimately passes, it likely will not have the two-thirds supermajorities required to go into effect immediately, meaning it would become law 90 days after the legislative session ends,” according to the report.

Republican House Speaker Ben Toma, who voted against the repeal, said, “The last thing we should be doing today is rushing a bill through the legislative process to repeal a law that has been … reaffirmed by the legislature several times.”

Toma also called for orderly behavior during Wednesday’s session, following heated debate in the last attempt to repeal the law.

“I would ask everyone in this chamber to respect the fact that some of us believe that abortion is the murder of children,” he said. “It is not OK to shout at each other, it is not OK to engage in the kind of behavior I saw on this floor last week.”

Both Democrat Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs and Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes have said they would not enforce the 1864 law, although abortionists are “unlikely to provide illegal abortions regardless,” according to the report.

Some prominent Arizona Republicans have also notably distanced themselves from the Arizona Supreme Court’s rulings, including Senate candidate Kari Lake and former Gov. Doug Ducey. Former President Donald Trump told reporters he thinks the 1864 law goes too far.

The state supreme court decision comes as pro-abortion activists are moving forward with a proposed amendment that would create a constitutional right to abortion in Arizona.

Arizona is one of nearly a dozen states where pro-abortion activists are working to codify the right to kill the unborn.

I think churches should go back to Hell Fire sermons.

I have a hard time believing that those who support killing babies are not going to face a very frightening outcome very soon and that possibility needs some very serious thought.
