Eclipses & Planetary Alignment of August 2008: War With Iran?

On August 1st there will be a total solar eclipse followed by a partial lunar eclipse on August 16th. As I have reiterated in my writings, there is a propensity for mass panics, e.g., stock market crashes, to occur around the times of lunar eclipses.

See:

August Market Crash in Terms of 1987 & Solar/Lunar Eclipse
http://www.wallstreetbear.com/board/view.php?topic=49509&post=160200

These panics can take the form of war as occured in August 1990 when Iraq invaded Kuwait:

*August 2nd thru 7th, 1990: Lunar eclipse squares Mars and Pluto.

In the Market Watch section of the July 16th, 1990 issue of 'Barron's', there is an excerpt from the newsletter of financial astrologer Arch Crawford. It reads in part:

"...Aug. 6 (Lunar Eclipse squares Mars + Pluto). Expect some major catastrophe on that last one, Aug. 2-7, as something explodes in a big way... Astronomically similar to the Chernobyl disaster..."

On August 2nd, Iraq invaded Kuwait precipitating the Persian Gulf crisis. As explained in my paper, The Persian Gulf Deception, Iraq most likely invaded Kuwait and precipitated the ongoing crisis in the Gulf at Moscow's behest. The general intent has been to establish a symbolic Arab/Muslim victim of U.S. imperialism in order to create a pretext for eventually lashing out at world 'Zionism' by striking Israel with chemical SCUD missiles which, in turn, will trigger a final, all-out East/West conflict.

From my Kremlin Astrology article at: http://www.spiritoftruth.org/astrology.htm

The upcoming August eclipses will also coincide with a signficant alignment of planets....to the point a festival is being held in South Africa to mark the occasion:

Waterberg Planetary Festival: August 12-19
http://www.waterbergcottages.co.za/images/Waterberg Planetary Festival.pdf

Is it possible that a war with Iran will erupt around this time?

That Iran scenario is definitely possible... as if written in the script already and awaiting execution... such as the USA is doing with the administration's fake act of diplomacy... the Iraq fake PR campaign all over again... look like you are making an effort even as you prepare for war... or in the USA case... getting Israel to do the work for us.. hoping to provoke Iran into some act first... as the USA wargame plans in that false flag op involving a 'Iranian' attack on one of our ships (probably one in the Gulf)... another Gulf of Tolkin (Vietnam) op... these emperial types keep repeating the same script over and over again.

As for the markets... this current Bear Market Rally is almost over... look at the 11751 ceiling on the Dow for resistance before the next leg down.... then come October for the next earnings reporting season... which will no doubt continue the downslide.

How all these events fit with the changing of the cosmic coming and goings is never easy to pinpoint... though it is said that those cosmic events (twin dark star's passing, comet cluster/wave 3dto 4d window, and that Rigel? supernova in Orion) are scheduled to come ashore somewhat soon... 2012 at the latest.... one ETA put that cluster in April 09 +/- 6 months... so this October should begin the larger cosmic/universal script that all the others have to design themselves around. That's how I see these passing eclipses etc... the changing scenery on the stage we are all playing parts in. Interesting to see how the various variables fit into the equation.

There is no contradiction between being a Christian and believing that people can make dumb decisions based on things like eclipses. In fact, the Bible speaks quite a lot on that subject.

Please note that the August 1st total solar eclipse is going to be partially visible in Iran:

http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/OH/OHfigures/OH2008-Fig03.pdf

July 31st this year is 27 Rajab on the Islamic calendar....a date that Iranian President Ahmadinejad has placed special signifiance on regarding the return of the Mahdi:

http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20060813195001AACbzU6

Does this mean anything? Not likely. But you never know with the apocalyptically-minded clerics running Iran (and Russia!).

Not sure how many cudos I'd give Winston... as he didn't exactly pass the WW1 test of leadership too well.... then later after WW2, the whole State of Israel thing as well that he started.... we all have our issues and lessons in life, as Winston and all political 'puppets' of the PTB/SG/4dSTS pyramid of power have to deal with once in office, as many USA presidents have attested to... that being that they come in contact with the 'fear' that those in business/politics/religion etc have of this group that pulls their strings... strings they weren't aware of before.... they all think they are in control of their lives/actions until they feel that tug of the strings and then wonder WTF is going on.... remember Ike didn't say anything until his last day in office about those like Prescott Bush (granddaddy) who with his 'friends' put Ike in office... those military/industrial complex type... which the financial complex runs of course... as history well documents... since war and empire is almost all we have left of past history to learn from... so little remains of those civilizations based in peace.

But all of us and the PTB etc have to deal with these cosmic forces... these archetypal energies expressing themselves through us... each of us.. with awareness of the process being key to trying to understand at least a little of their affect on us.... as it's all an unconscious process until we 'awaken' and become aware of those strings pulling on us.... from the local tidal pulls of the Moon to the distant effects of the other planets, stars, supernovae etc... energies that deal in very, very, very long stretches of time as we know it.... cycles that come and go in eons or ages or longer, in millions of years.... so it's no wonder we haven't heard too much about them... we just see their local effect on our economies, our politics, our desires etc... and until we become aware of this tug of the strings, we are mere puppets up on the stage of life.

Nice pic by the way. Here's one from www.earthfiles.com fair use.

I like to think we are all but characters in The Book authored by God. I like to watch "The Matrix" now and again to remember how it works!

Did you know that it is a "coincidence" that our moon's size and orbit relative to the sun's size and the earth's orbit around the sun are JUST RIGHT so that total solar eclipses can occur as we see them in a cyclically periodic fashion?

I personally don't believe in such coincidences and I'm certain we are part of a living, conscious universe where the primary purpose is "love". But what happens when a world's inhabitants deny this reality....when they fail to believe in their "author"? I have to say that I think the consequences can be "apocalyptic" in magnitude for such people. I suggest we all recognize who is the TRUE GOVERNING AUTHORITY....and believe me, it is NOT man.

Now....what do you do when you figure out you are NEO?

Think!

Astrology did not emerge over the eons of human history without merit. There is something there, but we are yet to grasp its full meaning:

The same new moon that sets up the total solar eclipse tonight (Friday, Aug. 1) will create dark night-sky conditions for stargazing, making this a great time to check out the beautiful midsummer Milky Way.
Campers and rural residents should have little trouble spotting it, weather permitting.
As soon as darkness falls, the Milky Way becomes evident as a wide glowing arch of variety and beauty, stretching high across the sky from the northeast to southwest.

Sweep with binoculars up from the tail of the constellation Scorpius, low in the southwest through the Summer Triangle, almost overhead and down toward Cassiopeia and Perseus in the northeast. You'll find concentrations of stars, clusters, large apparent gaps such as the Great Rift in Cygnus, and more stars than you thought existed.
Never visible from large cities with their bright lights, smoke and haze, the Milky Way can still be readily viewed from distant suburbs and rural locations. Visually it appears as a faint, albeit distinct ghostly band of light; it almost looks more "smoky" than "milky" in appearance. From a truly dark site, however, it appears in full glory: The brightest portions can cast faint shadows, and it appears highly complex and structured to the unaided eye and like veined marble when viewed with ordinary binoculars.

What it is
Before the invention of the telescope, the true nature of the Milky Way Galaxy ("Gala" is Greek for milk) was a mystery. Now we know it's a concentration of stars in our own galaxy.

</td></tr></tbody></table>The galaxy's center is about 26,000 light-years away toward the Sagittarius star cloud. From where we sit, the galaxy's outer edge is about 20,000 light-years in the opposite direction (toward Auriga and Taurus). We reside on a spur of the Orion arm, and what we see as we look at the Milky Way in our night sky is just a portion of nearest stars between us and the galactic center.
The sun and all the outer stars of the galaxy revolve around the galactic center at the rate of 155 miles per second. It apparently requires about 225 million of our earthly years to make one complete revolution, or one "cosmic year," around the center of our galaxy.
When we began to realize that there were other such vast collections or aggregation of stars, we called them "island universes," but this was an obvious misnomer; since universe means everything there is, it can hardly have a plural. So we've seemed to have settled on "galaxies," which is a compromise as a new meaning for an old word.

What was that eerie cloud?
Unfortunately, because of the tremendous increase in light pollution over the past quarter century, the majority of our current generation have never seen the night sky in all its grandeur.

In his book "Nightwatch," the well-known Canadian astronomer Terrence Dickinson comments that in the aftermath of the predawn 1994 Northridge, California earthquake, electrical power was knocked out over a wide area. Tens of thousands of people in southern California rushed out of their homes looked up and perhaps for the first time in their lives saw a dark, starry sky. In the days and weeks that followed, radio stations and observatories in the Los Angeles area received countless numbers of phone calls from concerned people who wondered whether the sudden brightening of the stars and the appearance of an eerie silvery cloud (the Milky Way) might have caused the quake.
"Such reaction," notes Dickinson, "can come only from people who have never seen the night sky away from city lights."

Eyes on the eclipse
The moon's shadow swept across the planet from Canada to China on Friday, delighting throngs of skywatchers who flocked to see a total eclipse of the sun.

MSNBC News Services
updated 6:54 a.m. PT, Fri., Aug. 1, 2008
XI'AN, China - The moon's shadow swept across the planet from Canada to China on Friday, delighting throngs of skywatchers who flocked to see a total eclipse of the sun.

The stellar spectacle — which arises when the moon passes directly between the sun and Earth — began in northern Canada, tracked across Greenland and the Arctic, then moved through Russia and Mongolia.

The celestial display ended in western China, where some saw it as a dark omen ahead of next week's start of the Olympic Games in Beijing. Others, however, took a more contemporary view.

"These days, we don't think it's bad or lucky, it's just natural," said Joy Yang, who joined hundreds of people on the massive stone city wall in the ancient capital and Silk Road terminus now called Xi'an. The crowd broke into shouts and cheers during the total eclipse, which has been christened the "Olympics eclipse" by state media.

The local newspaper instructed residents to protect their eyes by looking at the eclipse through dark film. Yang, like others, gazed at the sun through X-rays of teeth and other body parts, tearing large pieces of film into smaller bits to share with others.

Tens of thousands of tourists gathered in different areas of the far western desert in Xinjiang in search of the best view, overwhelming some of the region's remote communities, according to state media.

Researchers and commentators from NASA, the Exploratorium and the University of California at Berkeley broadcast their view of the total eclipse from Xinjiang over the Internet. Other scientists made Xi'an and the surrounding area their base of operations.

Superstitions still exist
Despite the ruling Communist Party's emphasis on scientific thinking, China still has its superstitions. The date and time of the Olympics' opening ceremony on Aug. 8 are stuffed with as many eights as possible, because the word "eight" in Chinese sounds like "fortune."

Adopting Friday's solar eclipse as a good sign meant stripping away the ancient superstition about it being the unluckiest event in the sky.

When eclipses happened, emperors were blamed and had to apologize for angering the heavens. Being able to predict solar eclipses and show control over the skies became so political that some eclipse reports apparently were manipulated, said John B. Henderson, a history professor at Louisiana State University who has written about Chinese cosmology.

"Eclipses were reported where none took place, in areas of political or bureaucratic strife," Henderson said. "It may have been a means of voicing dissent."

The urge to seek links between the Olympics and natural phenomena such as the eclipse is understandable, if not exactly rational, said Jiang Xiaoyuan, a social sciences professor at Shanghai's Jiaotong University who has written about astronomy research and patriotism in China.

"We'd already known about this eclipse many years before we got the right to host the Olympics, so how can we explain this is retribution?" Jiang said.

Seen in Siberia
Millions of skywatchers could witness the celestial sight across a wide swath of Europe, the Middle East and Asia, where the partial phase of the eclipse was visible. But the total phase — where the moon's disk covers the sun's disk completely — could be seen only along a narrow track.

Novosibirsk, Russia's third-largest city, was one of the biggest population centers in the path of totality. Thousands of people mixed awe with excitement as day turned into night. All gazed in wonder as an eerie silence descended on the Siberian city, and gushes of unusually strong wind tore through the crowd of skywatchers. Birds stopped chirping and the temperature suddenly dropped.

"It's very dramatic and awe-inspiring when the darkness suddenly comes. That's why thousands of tourists go to see," said Jay Pasachoff, a professor at Williams College who traveled to Novosibirsk for his 47th eclipse.

In the remote Siberian settlement of Berezovaya Katun, near Russia's border with China, a large crowd of tourists clapped and cheered as organizers released thousands of balloons into the darkened sky.

In Moscow, which saw a partial eclipse, passers-by froze as they tried to catch at a glimpse of the phenomenon. In St. Petersburg, people shouted "Look! Look!" and pointed above as the moon blotted out much of the sun.

"You just feel part of nature. ... This is so rare," one St. Petersburg resident told Reuters. Many looked through special sunglasses, computer disks and even beer bottles to protect their eyes from the partial eclipse's glare.

This report includes information from The Associated Press and Reuters.

It's 'graduation' time... some for war, others for peace.... thus the current scenario being played.. as, no doubt, the astrological signs are evident... same with the economy... the market is played/pushed up in a short squeeze even as the environment continues to decay... Iran, like Georgia/South Ossetia, is just another catalyst for the main players to engage in their everpresent quest for complete power/control... of everyone, everything... even if they too have to 'answer' or bow down to those above them.... meanwhile, behind the scenes at the Illuminatti level, the strings have been cleaned as the nationalistic puppets take the stage... a game based in the same script as usual.... only this time the cosmic factor is coming into play... very soon it is projected... so more alignment concerns should be showing up in the world around us... with this Naval Blockade just another step up that ladder to Armagedden...

Many make fun of this Sorcha site, but they are connecting the dots... even if they aren't 'allowed' to report on the Russian side too much... but it isn't hard to see their part in this play, as the Illuminatti needs an 'enemy' or antagonist for the protagonist to fight/wage war against... and so the play never seems to change... the 'people' never seem to learn this lesson... not easy for them to do so as the truth keeps getting destroyed, burnt, etc... so only lies remain. fair use http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index1123.htm

Kuwait Goes On ‘War Alert’ As Massive US Armada Heads For Iran

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers (Traducción al Español abajo)

Reports from the Middle East are stating today that Kuwait has activated its “Emergency War Plan” after being notified that 2 additional United States Navy Aircraft Carrier Groups are headed to the Gulf and Red Sea.

The Arabic news agency Moheet is reported that “an unnamed American destroyer, accompanied by two Israeli naval vessels, traveled through the Suez Canal from the Mediterranean to join a US nuclear submarine accompanied by a destroyer and a supply ship that have also moved into the Mediterranean.”

The Jerusalem Post is also reporting that “there are two US naval battle groups operating in the Gulf: one is an aircraft carrier group, led by the USS Abraham Lincoln, which carries some 65 fighter aircraft. The other group is headed by the USS Peleliu which maintains a variety of planes and strike helicopters.”

Russian Military Analysts report that with the addition of these new US Naval Battle Groups the American Forces now have arrayed against the Iranian Nation one of the largest naval armadas assembled by the West since World War II.

The Associated Press News Service is reporting, too, that Israel is building up its strike capabilities against Iran and is ‘confident’ of dealing a ‘crippling attack’ against Iran’s nuclear programme as it becomes more concerned that the Western Nations will back off from their planned attack against the Iranians.

The United States, at least for the moment, appears to be attempting to thwart another major war by threatening Iran with more sanctions, and as we can read as reported by the Associated Press News Service:

“US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice threatened Iran with more sanctions Thursday after it failed to give an adequate response to the latest bid by Western powers to induce it to freeze uranium enrichment.

"Iran has a way out if they ever wish, but we will seriously pursue sanctions if they don't," Rice told Yahoo! News and the magazine Politico.

"You have to hope that there are reasonable people in Iran who see this as not the way to run a country."

Tehran's latest response to a demand for the enrichment freeze in exchange for trade and technology incentives "is not a really serious answer," she said in her first comments since six world powers discussed the matter in a Wednesday conference call.”

The ‘wild card’ in these latest moves by the United States, its Western Allies and Israel, say Russian Military Reports, remains the ‘hidden’ Israeli threats against the US should it not attack Iran, and which many in the Russian Intelligence Community take to mean another September 11th type assault upon the American Nation itself.

[Note: Following the attacks upon the US on September 11, 2001, American Intelligence services conducted one of their largest counter terror sweeps in their history which netted not Arab Terrorists, but one of the largest Israeli spy networks ever discovered. Fox News was the only US propaganda media outlet to report on this but after its first airing was ‘immediately pulled’ from the American airwaves.]

The United States has further moved to counter Russian Military responses to an attack upon Iran’s nuclear facilities, and which have been built and financed by Russia, by igniting the flames of Total War on Russia’s very doorstep in the Caucuses by turning their loose their puppet ally Georgia to begin attacks upon South Ossetia.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry issued a warning today that Georgia is preparing for war, and as South Ossetia’s capitol has come under fire, and with Russia reporting that Georgian tanks are headed for the border, Russia has warned the West that it ‘will not stand by’ if the situation erupts into a full scale conflict.

What remains unknown at this time is how far the United States, and the West, is prepared to push our World towards Total War in its game of brinkmanship in the Middle East.

What is known, however, is that should the Americans push our World into the abyss of war, both Russia and China will retaliate as they are both determined not to ever again allow the Western Nations to have control over the World’s supply of oil.

Well....obviously the key event connected to the total solar eclipse over Russia was Russia's invasion of Georgia immediately thereafter:

This fits my long-standing "Kremlin Astrology" hypothesis:

Next is the lunar eclipse on August 16th followed by an exact square of Mars and Pluto on the 17th.

On August 2nd, Iraq invaded Kuwait precipitating the Persian Gulf crisis.

http://astrologymundo.wordpress.com/2008/08/13/mars-square-pluto-do-or-die/

This is an astrological parallel to the lunar eclipse that marked Chernobyl in April 1986 and the lunar eclipse that marked Iraq's invasion of Kuwait in August of 1990.
