According to the Jerusalem Post, 2 U.S. aircraft carrier battlegroups are headed for the Persian Gulf in the wake of Iran's negative response to the economic incentive package offered by the world powers for ceasing uranium enrichment:

What is the plan? I think this was revealed by the recent "Operation Brimstone", a 10-day exercise in the Atlantic Ocean involving more than a dozen ships, including the US carrier strike group Theodore Roosevelt and expeditionary strike group Iwo Jima; the French submarine Amethyste, and the British HMS Illustrious Carrier Strike Group, as well as a Brazilian frigate. The exercise was geared to practice a naval blolckade on Iran, primarily to inhibit the import of refined petroleum products....something Tehran is particularly vulnerable to:
