Hey ya'll- I just mailed a box of 34 Double Knit Beanies and a bunch of baby clothes for Hurricane Helene relief. If any of you can organize a drive and get to Tennessee, or mail a box. Focus is now on the Florida disaster, but it is still cold, wet, and people and pets are in need in Tenessee and Carolina. Our beloved .gov is not helping. Please watch the video and help people and animals as you can. Our skillsets save lives. Time to shine! We can knit, crochet, quilt, sew. Donate already finished projects. It is cold and people have nothing.

This is a partial Transcript from a video from Pinball Preparedness. This guy is a one man distribution center, all out of his own pocket and his own time. How I wish I could network like this! He has assembled a bunch of people and stores and is getting help out there. Patara and James have, too. The people answered his calls for donations of money and stuff but more is needed. Please support as you see fit.
4:33 minute mark: Pinball: I spoke with Patara (Appalachia's Homestead) this is sad. There was a baby today I don't know exactly what town that died today or yesterday from hypothermia because they're trying to- the the people are cold and wet and it's getting cold. Ya'll know about the clothing Drive coat drive blankets warm clothes and a boatload of you guys have uh sent stuff to the different addresses that we put on there I've got a new one and this one is direct this is where I am taking the dog food this morning where my Food City trucks are going up to. Diane just got a hold of me and at the Church Warehouse they will accept UPS packages Amazon packages Walmart packages and it doesn't have to go through a second step no offense to sending the stuff to the girls I know they are doing a great job but this saves them the problem too of having to ship it again if you're local and you want to take something the the warehouse that the church set up literally has it set up where there's loading docks for semis which is important for what I'm doing but they've also got a drivethrough literally, drive in one side of the warehouse out the other side. Bring your pickup truck. Drive in. Stop in the middle unload the back of the pickup truck with individual supplies drive out the other end and they can just keep people going through. Blankets warm clothes baby clothes adult clothes anything they're starting to take this now okay so if I give you the address and I'll post it below:
Oct 10, 2024 Some of these stories make me sick. The double whammy of Helene and Milton are stretching resources thin and people abandoning animals or hearing of children freezing to death should NEVER happen in the United States. What is desperately needed now...
