Your favorite recipe for cookies using dates

I am working on my Christmas cookies and I need a recipe for cookies with chopped dates in them. If you have a favorite recipe that works well in cookie baskets (to give away), and you don't mind sharing it, please post it for me. Thanks!

I looked at Christmas cookies.com today and found 7. I have been on the site you posted before, but I thought that since there are so many good cooks and bakers in this kitchen, perhaps someone would have an old favorite that they could post for me. My time is so limited these days and my browser is slow. Maybe not that many people like dates. I can always search for next year. Thanks for taking the time to reply!
