A lot of Fallout fans are already unhappy, especially about the Obsidian Fallout lore. Specifically, what happened to Shady Sands and New Vegas. Which is a crock, because New Vegas already survived multiple nukes. There is no way that Mister House and his Securitron army weren't ready for anything else.
It's my fault..I killed Mr. House when i played Fallout New Vegas

It's okay. We all did at least once. Besides, I favored the Independent Vegas approach anyway. Still, even IF the Courier was in charge, I think it's even LESS likely to blow up New Vegas.

I play FO76 just about every day, and with the release of the series there has been an influx of new players coming to the game. I've invested about 2600 hours in the game on PC so far, and maybe half that much with my old Xbox and I'm really surprised I'm still not bored with it. I'll have to admit Bethesda has hit this one out of the park as far as a money maker goes. I was never an online kind of player, but this game is enjoyable with live players and has changed my mind about online play.
I too play it daily on my Xbox. I restarted it and am at level 236 with this character. I've also played all the fallout games. Im enjoying the tv show..the gore in real life is a bit harder to take..but they're making it campy over the top so it's bearable.

watched the 1st 2 episodes and really enjoyed it...was very glad it wasn't woke BS and for the budget the visuals are pretty good.

Liked the characters so far, I think the lead is a hoot.

I was an avid FO76 player, but got distracted by a big DayZ update while waiting on the Locked & Loaded update to drop, then Valheim came out and Arma Reforager.

I haven't seen any of the shows yet, I'm thinking of waiting till garden planting time is over to watch it.
I've been hammering out XP in the game, my goal is level 700 and I just leveled up a few minutes ago to 649 it's a long road to get there LOL

I haven't tried Day Z yet or Arma Reforger, I did get Starfield and played it for a while, but it got kind of boring after a while I think it's going to be a while before that game gets enough DLCs for me to go back to it.

Never heard of it before I saw it posted on prime. The guy without a nose was off-putting as I dislike horror movies with pain that disfigure people. However, the trailer in the initial post looks intriguing. Thanks! I'll give it a watch.

He was very good in The Hateful 8 and also did a good job with the limited role in Predators.

You might like them, DayZ is a stand-alone game born from an Arma II mod; DayZ | Bohemia Interactive

Yeah, I was just checking out Reforger that's one that will go in my library, I have found I like multi-player games, Day Z though I don't really care for third person type games, I prefer first person games. I've tried several third person games and just can't seem to play them as well. I'm also limited to games that will allow me to use my Xbox controller, I'm left-handed and using the keyboard and mouse playing games is difficult for me, or I should say I just won't take the time to learn.

Packydermswife, he was in Desperate Housewives long ago. Really was good too. I'm watching Fallout and I think it's good but haven't finished it yet.

I have Fallout 4 on steam but haven't done much with it. Maybe I need to give it a try again. Those large roaches really creeped me out!

That you shouldn't worry about so much. He likely never felt a thing. That man is over 200 years old, which is why he lost that nose. He is what's known as a "ghoul," a race of humans who absorbed a lot of radiation and yet didn't die. Most of them are long-lived and now immune to the stuff. Unless they go feral, and feral ghouls are basically zombies.

First/third depends on the server with DayZ some do one or the other and some you can choose ...with PC anyhow not sure about the xbox version though, i know consoles dont have as many server options
I ended up on a highly modded server

I didn't know you could chose either or, I was going off of what I was seeing in the review on steam, I play PC but I use my Xbox controller with my PC instead of the keyboard. I'll have to go back and take a closer look at Day Z

Yup if you use the dayz launcher you can even specify 1st or 3rd and some servers you can do either one

Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them. From executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of Westworld, starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins and more. All episodes arrive April 11 on Prime Video.

Todd Howard Rules On Whether The ‘Fallout’ Show Makes ‘New Vegas’ Non-Canon

There is really only one prominent controversy when it comes to the release of the new Fallout show, its affect on another West Coast Fallout story, New Vegas, the 2010 Obsidian spin-off.

Fans believe that several things, including Shady Sands being destroyed in relation to the proclaimed Fallout show timeline, means that the events of New Vegas are non-canon. Now, Bethesda’s Todd Howard has stepped in to make an official declaration about all this. Here’s Howard speaking to IGN about the timeline:

“We’re careful about the timeline,” Howard said. “There might be a little bit of confusion in some places. But everything that happened in the previous games, including New Vegas, happened. We’re very careful about that.”

And about the bombing of Shady Sands?

“All I can say is we’re threading it tighter there, but the bombs fall just after the events of New Vegas.”

So, while he admits there is some confusion there, the declaration is that yes, New Vegas is canon and no, the Fallout show was not specifically designed to make it non-canon, as some have theorized Bethesda wanted New Vegas out of the timeline as a game they still held some sort of resentment towards because Obsidian made it instead.

That always seemed far-fetched and whatever Bethesda’s opinions on New Vegas (it’s been almost 15 years, I think they’re over it) the end result is that the game is still canon with the show, and the show is canon to the entire series. And if you have seen the show (spoilers follow) the final scene is a shot of New Vegas, and season 2 is no doubt going to use that as a significant location with no doubt a number of tie-ins to the game.

Recent sleuthing has unearthed that the show also seems to have declared a specific “multiple choice” ending for Fallout 4 as canon, given that you do sort of have to pick one to move the story forward. The Brotherhood airship seen in the show has been confirmed as the same airship from Fallout 4, meaning either the Brotherhood wiped everyone out in that game, or the Minutemen ending was used instead in a variation where the airship was not destroyed.

Fallout will continue forward as a TV series for at least a few years, is my guess. But it’s clear fans are going to be having these sort of debates forever, right down to every detail.

Episode 6 showed the timeline as to where New Vegas and the show fit into the canon.
I guess if you’re emotionally invested in F:NV, it would suck to see it wiped out.

I finished the series last night, I give it a 'Thumbs Up'. Hopeful it gets picked up for a 2nd season.

Nice ending shot, Deathclaw skull on the ground and Kyle MacLachlan's character looking out at the New Vegas Strip. Also like the trio of The Ghoul, Lucy and Dog Meat.
Also Mr House (founder of RobCo) in the meeting Vault Tec was hosting and as they went around the table talking about experiments, all of those can be found in different games when you explore the vaults and read the terminals.

I knew absolutely nothing about the Game.

Just finished the season.

I keep asking myself how&why I can get comfortable watching and laughing out loud at over-the-top gore. And 200 year old ghouls...(eta. Not into the zombie genre. Haven’t watched The Walking Dead)

Only saw one oblique lgbtqxyzbr549 character. Anybody else pick up on the pronoun being "their"?

Like most other series I suspect further "woke" indoctrination comes in later seasons if in fact more are forthcoming.

Great character development. Nice to see internal conflict acknowledged and addressed.

Not one mention of a Constitution that I recall. I tell myself "Hey it's a motion picture based on a game"...

Last edit: I'll probably rewatch to look for subtle things in the surrounding props. Liked the "Tesla" book being read in one scene. The clear slam against "corporatism" being done on an "Amazon" series is hilarious.

Fallout 4 sales have jumped to #1 in Europe since the show release and yesterday Bethesda announced 1 million players on Fallout 76. I have noticed a ton of newbies on the game. I keep making automatic Fixers to pass out!

Made into the second or third episode. Couldn't stand the outright messaging when the girl was thinking about the knight, licking her lips and acting like a slut. Soo tired of the mixed race messaging shit. Didn't bother me about the cowboy doing it but somehow the girl licking her lips in lust was just over the top. Shame too, as fallout 4 is one of my favourite games which I still play. Everything I've seen has been on point in being faithful to the game. But I'm done with the "everyone's equal" shit. We don't need more niglets and single mothers.

At least they were not too too obvious about it.

Though in al honesty there should have been zero black actors. As that period in history had blacks severely disadvantaged…
