INSANITY Would You Keep This 750-Pound Gator as Your Pet?

Yes. I would love to have two of them, and the bigger the better.

Would put them in the moat and feed them whole goats to keep them feisty. :D

Would even make my own signs....
"Beware of the American Alligator" and it would be on a piece of steel plate that has a detailed silhouette, like this... And a note...feeding time is 24/7.

It looks like it was well taken care of...

I saw evidence of the USPCA in the video. Unless an animal is CLEARLY in great immediate peril, they shouldn't be allowed on private property nor should ANY government entity be allowed to use them. Ever. For anything.

I might start a " POIWBIPH" society.

Prevention of illegal wetbacks in private homes.
Not a strawman argument. I think animal do-gooders are far more egregious.

I think having one or two around could be quite handy. Sort of like having pigs (which can be just as dangerous) but more cool. SS&S leaves too much potential evidence around, just waiting to be "dug up". The digestive process is far more fool proof and efficient!

I'm really against ANY exotics being in the hands of laypeople (non-zoo).
It rarely ends up even a tolerable situation for the animal. It's never an ideal one.
Always a vanity affectation for the owner.

Now that is just weird....and dangerous. However, in a "free" country you're supposed to be allowed to be weird. c'est comme ça?

Nah. Pull it into the middle of the street. Kill it. Have all the women and “whatevers” skin it for hand bags and food. Problem solved. Offal? Brings in more gators. Start a business, or farm it out! Easy, eh?

It sounds like he was doing fine with it, until he just had to show off, letting people get into the pool and take pictures! Dumbass...

He HAD TO know it was illegal to keep it, and only a moron wouldn't know the pics were going to end up on social media.

All that said, he put a ton of time, effort and money into providing what looks like top notch care for the thing. Kudos to him... most of the idiots who start out with a baby gator turn them loose or flush them into the sewer when the cuteness wears off.

Meet Henry, The World's Oldest Crocodile | Killer Crocs with Steve Backshall

Over 100 years old and was a man eater.
I wonder how old he actually is?! He was man-eater BEFORE yhe was captured in 1903... he must have been at least 40 or 50 years old then!

I've read comments from several prominent experts personally familiar with Africa and crocs there... theyvsay that pretty much every really buig croc is aManeater. One, shot by Peter Hathaway Capstick, was stalking the regular spot the native women used for laundry and bathing in the river. When they opened the belly, they found a large number (can't remember exactly... seems it was around 30?) of the copper bangles the women all wore. Once they were on their arms, they couldn't be removed ( short of bolt cutters, I'd presume). The presence in the stomach of that croc was only possible if he'd swallowed and digested the arms they had decorated.
