Police had established a radius extending three blocks south of the bar as officers searched for the suspect
By Brie Stimson | Fox News

A manhunt for an armed suspect was underway in Kenosha, Wisconsin, early Sunday morning after gunfire at a bar left three people dead and two seriously wounded, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.
It happened at the Somers House, a tavern near the shore of Lake Michigan that's popular with people from the Carthage College community down the road, the Kenosha News reported.

The sheriff's department called the shooting "targeted" and said they don't believe there is an ongoing threat to the community.

As of 2:30 a.m. local time, police had established a radius extending three blocks south of the bar as officers searched for the suspect, the News reported.

The investigation is ongoing.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

I give up.
Kenosha AGAIN? Sheesh, yesterday it was grenades at Goodwill, today it's:

*snip*

Shooting suspect still at large

However, deputies have not taken the suspect in the shooting into custody yet.

Deputies describe them as a Black man over six feet tall, wearing a light-colored hood sweatshirt, a department release states.

No names yet.

The Sheriff's Department said the suspect has been located and it appeared to be a targeted and isolated incident.
Deputies do not believe there is a threat to the community at this time.
The victims have not yet been identified.

They were all men.

Sheriff David Beth said two people died at the scene.

The third person hopped in a car with two other people, who moments later flagged down a police vehicle.

The officer drove the victim to a hospital where that person was pronounced dead, Beth said.

The two people who were shot and wounded were taken to area hospitals.

There may have been more people with less serious injuries, and the sheriff's department has contacted hospitals to find them, Beth said.

The bar is outside of downtown Kenosha. Right on the Lake Michigan shoreline.

Never been down there but it looks like a typical country hangout in Lake Country.

I suspect the brother may have had a clash with the locals?

Talk is cheap
There are evil people performing Harry Potter spells to get these things to happen. People are listening to the demons in their heads, who give them directives, and listening to evil people that tell them to do things, and the demon voices concur and egg them on.

This is a War. in the physical, in the Spiritual.

Christian Prayer Warriors: this is not the time for complacency.

This can be combatted. A Revival is needed, too!

Kenosha County shooting: 3 dead, 3 wounded at Somers House tavern (azcentral.com)

The tavern is popular with Carthage students, said Peter Ploskee, 44, a neighbor who lives across the street.
His doorbell camera captured footage of what he called a "shootout" between two groups. People got into vehicles and drove away quickly, he said. Ploskee heard several gunshots from his home. He looked out his window and saw "cars taking off in every direction, people running in every direction."

Then he saw more than a dozen squad cars arrive. Officers were walking house to house on Sheridan Road and "searching every property" for the suspects, Ploskee said.

An emergency alert was sent in the early morning hours to nearby residents about the shooting.

As of Sunday afternoon, investigators were still working at the tavern, focusing on at least two bodies still on the ground outside the tavern: one just outside the front door and one in an outdoor patio area. A police dog was sniffing the yards of nearby homes, and Sheridan Road remained blocked from 12th Street to where Sheridan turns into Alford Park Drive.

Investigators conducted interviews, collected evidence from "several" crime scenes and gathered surveillance video from "extensive neighborhood canvasses," the sheriff's department said. Ploskee said police took the footage from his doorbell camera.

Authorities remained at the scene as of 4 p.m. Sunday.

Kenosha Reddit was on it, someone got a copy of the original police BOLO

look at that description...

58 responses on this thread, 3 are scrubbed. One of the replies said he was listening to the scanner and there was a police (car? foot? bike?) chase just prior.

Carthage College and UW Parkside satellite campus are both in proximity

students? bar? Saturday night? probably some meth dealer come calling as bill collector

the thread devolved quickly into a gun debate and the usual poverty woe is me excuses

Reddit peeps always know the score, there was a murder suicide in Watertown WI also mentioned on the thread...

Upper Deck, Somers House retain liquor licenses | News | kenoshanews.com

The Village Board on Tuesday approved Class B liquor licenses for two embattled taverns, including one which was denied a probationary cabaret license last month.

The board voted 7-0 to renew liquor and beer licenses for the Upper Deck Tavern, 1778 Sheridan Road, and Somers House, 1548 Sheridan Road.

Two weeks ago, the board denied a probationary cabaret license to the Upper Deck Tavern, but approved one for Somers House. Cabaret licenses allow establishments to have live entertainment.
No residents spoke during the public hearing held for the licenses.

On May 24, the board approved the Somers House cabaret license after representatives said they had made an effort to prevent minors from drinking at the bar. Owners said they installed scanners to help them identify fake identification cards.

However, the board denied a cabaret license for Upper Deck Tavern after learning of more than two dozen police calls to the establishment, six involving gunfire, including one in which a man was shot, but survived, at a nearby park.

At one call a deputy said a bouncer closed the door on him, and neighbors have complained of noise and vandalism to their properties.

Trustee Joe Cardinali, voted against cabaret licenses for both taverns..."

license was renewed on condition owner paid $6200 in back taxes and unpaid utilities

The suspect was asked to leave the Somers House Tavern in the village of Somers in Kenosha County just after midnight, but then returned and opened fire killing the trio.

'They had no hate towards nobody,' said Azriel Raasch to Fox 6. 'They didn't hate anybody. It just sucks. It sucks because our city's falling apart.

'They are the most kind-hearted, kid-loving spirit. It's just so hard to explain because they loved everybody, even if they didn't know you,' said Raasch.

don't know why those colleges keep getting dragged into it >>> it's not like they are Ivy League and the students honor graduates - it's a better excuse than barber college to the parole officer .....
