It is because UNLIKE ISIS, Ebola is MUCH more likely to PERSONALLY threaten MY freedom, my financial health, the NORMAL life pattern of MY family's activities, as well as present a DEADLY, UNTREATABLE albeit small threat to their and MY life LONG LONG BEFORE ISIS arrives to change our normal routine or personally harm me and mine. (For mine, and all those who work in health care, Ebola is a MUCH BIGGER, immediate THREAT)
NO REASSURANCE has been given to the American people as to what INSURANCE COVERS as far as medical bills ($1,000 an HOUR) and other losses due to Ebola generated losses generated by the government's "preventive measures".
People DIE, we understand that, people die every day. But this is a sudden, horrific death of otherwise healthy people, and normal death is seldom accompanied with the confiscation and destruction loss of everything your family owns.
When we see ALL THE POSSESSIONS of an Ebola patient and their family EVERYTHING down to the carpet inside their home and their cars, COLLECTED AND DESTROYED by the government, everything that whole family treasured, worked all their life for, IT SHOCKS PEOPLE. Nobody is going to repay them for their loss either!
Right NOW, SO FAR, tens of thousands of people's personal lives have been disrupted by ONE EBOLA PATIENT and AT LEAST TWO people infected. Whole Hospitals and schools have shut down because of this one man.
How is any other threat more important, more immediate, more personal?
Just ONE day care worker where you put your child for care, whose husband or son is recently returned infected from Liberia, CAN POTENTIALLY RUIN YOUR LIFE and personally threaten your family's lives!
Stop ALL travel FROM African "hot Zones" NOW, if just ONE uncontrolled Ebola case has done this, imagine what 20 cases would do?
