I haven’t seen him around in a couple months. Considering his age, I’m more than a little worried.

Neither here nor there.
There was a thread about him this past summer, there a member that has contact with him, that’s all I remember.
Just looked up that Where’s Troke thread from mid-July.
No definitive answer. No one claiming to be in-touch. Just lots of guesses that he was likely engaged in his usual summer travels. This is one of his longer gaps in postings. Therefore, our concerns are justified.

In no way was I saying we shouldn't be concerned about him. I simply mentioned that there was a thread about him here this past summer and either that thread or another thread someone mentioned that they had been in contact with him. My thumb/hand post, surgery today, hurts too much right now to do a search for his last posts.
Don't know his age but from this forum I have gotten the idea he is older than dirt.
No, Troke is a gentleman who is close to 90 (although I'm not quite sure which side!)

Troke disappeared after a few years and I thought he had passed. But
then he reappeared,, but he was different in his postings different opinions
thoughts. I thought back then, is someone posting in his place?
Three or four years ago found out a family member that had flipped in
his opinions, interests and thoughts, was helped along by family members
by posting under his log-in. That cleared up lots of my confusion.

Jonas lost his second wife to a sudden illness, after losing his first wife to an illness as well. I cant speak for him, but I’d never be the same afterward.
He doesn't have an online obituary I can find. I used to have his address, but I doubt I can find it since our move. Ill,check my desktop in the morning, if I can find a minute. Harvest time is here

I'm concerned about him for sure, but again I can't find an obituary, and he certainly would have one with his huge and loving family!

just had someone call me yesterday cuz she was 1 day with no emails from me.
switched comps and this newer 1 has not have windows 10 installed yet.
waiting for a friend to come over and set it up.
using chrome rite now and hate it.

I always got the impression his family roots were in SW Minnesota somewhere. So much of what he talked about when he went home to the old places ticked the boxes for my great grandfather's settling in the late 1800's in Traverse County MN.
Thing is, "my" Traverse Co. is very lightly populated, maybe 3000 people, and it's pretty much the same for that area. Not sure what towns anywhere near around there would be big enough to have a newspaper. Maybe Marshall, Fergus Falls or Wilmar? Plus, my impression of ballpark location could be way off.
