TIP What Information are you Driving Around on your Vehicle?

I would have some sort of Christian sticker, but the way I drive I wouldn't want to induce road rage towards the church.

Many of the jackasses I encounter on the roadway have those christian fish symbols on their vehicles.

Certain kinds of bumper stickers around here can get your tires slashed and your vehicle keyed. We try to stay as gray as possible when out and about.

Good idea to drive a common vehicle in a common color too.

When we went looking for a new vehicle for me the four colors I had in mind where: Black, white, sandstone, an asphalt grey. These are the MOST common vehicle colors you will find in Iowa with white being the most popular, followed by red or some variation there of, and green, then blue.

Uh, no it's not paranoia at all. There are predators out there that actually troll the parking lots of WM, Target, HyVee, etc., looking for women alone or women alone, ie no spouse, with small kids. This is how human traffickers work.

So no stickers, no license plate information. In fact I don't even like that I advertise the dealership I bought it from and had them remove that before I drove it off the lot.

Always stay under the radar as far as possible. I just always figured everyone here would never put anything on their vehicle that would stand out. Also hope for a license plate that means nothing to everybody and very hard to remember.

It's not "paranoid woo crap" to refrain from behaviors that invite harm. You don't enable Chester the Molester by giving your kid a backpack with her name on it. And you don't advertise your situation or possessions or behaviors to people who can use the information against you. For women, it's common sense and a way of life.
