While researching to look for a sample ballot for our county and precinct, I stumbled across a nugget.

Here in Texas, it is no longer possible to vote a straight ticket! Yep, as of last year, going forward, there is no longer a straight-party ticket bubble to color in. You must go and color in the oval bubble for each candidate!

I did not know that.

We were talking about this the other day and though we do have (or did have) one bubble for straight ticket, I decided that I am going to bubble in each one. My thought was, it’s easier to change a ballot at one point than many.

It may be paranoia, but that’s how I’m going to do it this time. The Lord only knows about next time. I mean it’s not like I am in a big hurry. I may be blind after, but...

I think that was the concern for changing the voting process here in Texas, takes more effort to cheat.

I always follow in each choice. It usually winds up straight ticket. However sometimes a certain opposition candidate is the better choice. But not usually.
