Has No Life - Lives on TB
I put all the doom to the side today and enjoyed a beautiful day with hubby and our dogs. We had a bottle of wine, enjoyed the sunshine and hubby is about to cook us some fresh fish and shrimp.
All apocalyptic events will simply have to wait until another time.

Wouldn't you know it? After restocking our wine cabinet, I decided to go on a diet!!!!! No wine for me for a while. Cary can have his beer, but I can't have my wine. He won't drink it in front of me, cause he knows how much I enjoy that wine at night while relaxing and watching tv.

Doom is going to happen on God's timetable. Not a day earlier or a day late. I wasn't expecting anything to happen. Seems God has His ways of always warning His people ahead of time, but I got nothing. Not saying I'm anyone special, but I haven't heard of any others getting a warning, either.

Great attitude Sherree! We love football and I am embarrassed to say that we schedule Saturdays around the gridiron schedule. Last night I worked the concession stand at the local high school football game and I am sort of dragging today. Hard work! But in the meantime, we picked many gallons of muscadines and will juice tomorrow some time. Did manage to plant some winter crops today and I think I will plant lettuce this week. But I think I have been saying that for a week or two. It has just been so hot and dry. I want to plant parsnips this year just because I have never grown them and like the taste so we will see how that experiment turns out. Kohlrabi falls in that same group of wanting to grow it and never have! And last but not least I want to try water cress. Would love any tips that anyone has! On a downer note, the door on one of freezers popped open and went unnoticed for many hours. Didn't lose anything really but had to cook up some chicken just to be on the safe side. Clean up only took about 20 minutes. But is a reminder to us to check those freezers several times a day!

At least you know it will be there waiting for you when you decide to have a glass.

Barry Natchitoches - Thanks for reminding me about the 'rooster shots' (ie: Euflexxa) - talked my ortho into giving me those again the other day when he asked if I was ready to bite the bullet on a knee replacement (bone on bone; no meniscus, it shredded during a fall a few years back) It's a series of 3 shots, but I'd just finished a 3 day run of 12 hour night shifts when I hit his office and totally forgot to ask when I needed to show up for #'s 2 & 3. Probably wouldn't have remembered it if they'd told me by that time anyway. He checked the chart and the last time I got them was in 2020; not a bad deal if they helped that long.
I have never been given the series of 3 shots. I just get one shot per knee.

What is the difference between the series of 3 shots, and the single shot option?

Just curious.

I am back to canning! Juiced 2 gal of juice from muscadines on Sunday afternoon and turned that into 40 pints of delish muscadine jelly! Have more grapes to juice! Got all of our dried corn in and will finish up the peas tomorrow. Yahoo! The garden is starting to slooow down! Hopefully I will too. Soon!
