I put my chicken carcass from last week into the crockpot overnight and most of the day. The broth looks delicious. I put it in the fridge for the fat to come to the top and will freeze it tomorrow.
The rest of the day has been a day of rest. I do have to do dishes in a few minutes which I have put off for several hours! At least it's still today!!
I haven't looked for lamp oil for quite some time. With the generator and several battery lamps I haven't had to use oil lamps for several years. I do still have a supply of lamp oil and wicks plus 4 or 5 lamps just in case. I'll have to check the Walmart where I shop to see if they still have any lamp oil in stock. I need to do an inventory of batteries for the many flashlights and lamps. Probably my best choice would be to replace some of my battery lamps with new LED lamps one of which puts out more light than any two or three of the current ones and would probably use smaller batteries.
