How are you feeling, Judy?

Better I think. I’ve decided my peak energy is soon after I wake up, what ever time that is. Yesterday I made a big pot of vegetable ground meat soup. By 11:00 am it was ready and tasty.

Today I rewashed a load of clothes that had been sitting wet in the washer for several days and it’s only 9:00 am, lol. Now to get the clothes in the dryer

I ordered one of those ocedar mop and bucket, the kitchen and bathroom floors are nasty. I’m using pine sop in the water, to hell with using only non toxic cleaner, at least for now, I need to get the floors clean

SB, the time change knocked me for a loop, too! My time sense is totally off, again. I'm also not tired or hungry when I should be, either. This morning, I made myself get up at 7:30 am and only had a half cup of coffee and a light breakfast and then went for a walk. I hope that will start to help me. I'll be back at work next week and can't start going to bed at midnight. That will really mess me up.

I'm glad I'm not the only one still struggling with the time change! It didn't seem this hard even a few years ago!

Waking up to about 14" of snow this morning didn't help, either!

The time changed knocked me off balance, too. Our normal time to get up is around 6 to 6:30 am. Time change has us sleeping, until almost 8 am! It seems like half of my day is gone by then. I told Cary, yesterday, that he needed to set our alarm clock to get us up at our normal time. I'm beginning to feel like a sluggard for sleeping so late.

Time change is rough on this nightowl who has to be training at 7 am. I could so easily stay up til 3am or longer but life doesn't work that way.

I can now bend and raise my leg just enough to go up steps. Woo-hoo. Our walk in shower has a 7 inch lip and it's been hard to bring that leg into the shower.

I have a black eye this morning from a bump above my eyebrow. Not sure when I bumped it, had too much going on yesterday.

Beautiful weather and I have a bunch of online training to complete for next contract. Probably not a bad thing considering the pollen count is astronomical. Supposed to be high 80s and low 90s for a few days. Lots of flowers up.

Sorry every one is so sick...praying for all under the weather

I'm thankful! It's now 52 degrees, with full sun. The ice and snow have melted. The snowdrops are up. The onions are still waving their little tips at me. I brushed the mulch aside: the tips of the tulips look okay.

I hope that we are finished with winter.

It's 62 right now, with the promise of 76, tomorrow. Nothing here got bit too bad from the freeze we just had. My azaleas are still blooming out. Roses are budding, too. My fig tree is also budding.

Tomorrow is shopping day. I'm so glad we are having nice weather, again. A great day to be out and about.

I haven't done much today. I just don't feel up to it. I sure hope tomorrow is better.

Got my truckload of cardboard for the garden! Whew that was a job. I had 4 ft of cardboard on pallets stacked on top of the truck bed as it wouldn't fit down in there the way it was on the pallets. I strapped it down good and drove about 30 all the way home. Took Rufus for a walk since he's been a pill all day long. "It's sunshiney mama lets go, lets go, lets go." Never mind that its low 40's and windy. But we managed. Then I got the cardboard unloaded as dh needs to come get the truck tomorrow to bring home some steel beams he's getting for free. They're 12' long so won't fit in his work truck.

It's 59º/feels like 73º ... yea ... wind is only 3 mph with is very unusual for our area. Sunny and the snow is going, going, gone ... yea.

I slept late but managed 2 hours of Bible reading so all caught up, dishes done and a load of laundry washed, dried and put away. I have Bible study in a half hour and currently no idea what I'm doing for supper. Maybe spaghetti with home canned ground beef that needs to be used.

We had an early supper, tonight. Cary wanted me to be free of the kitchen, early, so he could do a touch-up with stain on some of my cabinets and around the edge of the countertops. He's using the same stain that he put on them when he made them. They never have been painted, just stain over natural wood. Over the years, the stain has got rubbed thin in certain areas. It was time.

I'll bet they'll look great when he's finished!

They do look like new again. He built all my cabinets and countertop years ago. It was time for the touch-up. Some spots, like in front of the kitchen sink, had the stain rubbed thin, also along the edges of the countertop. Cary built the frames for my countertops and laid ceramic tiles for the top. Those edges were all stained to match the cabinets. Everything in my house, almost, is ceramic tile or natural wood. That includes my floors, walls, and ceilings. No painting necessary.

Shopping in 2 towns, today. Need to go to the courthouse to pay our garbage pick-up bill and get a new tag for Cary's trailer. Dry cleaners. Then, on to our regular town for groceries, bank, and wine shop.

Cary has a long list made for garden and yard supplies that he'll get at TSC. I also need more potting soil.

Beautiful weather for it. 76 for our high with sunny skies.

It's nice here, too: 52 degrees and sunny. I set my alarm for 7:30 am but woke up ten minutes before it went off, so maybe my body is getting the message. Eventually, it'll be 6:30 (ish) but it's still dark at that hour, and there's no garden work.

I've been working on various detailed sorting projects, like photos and paper files. It takes time! But until today, that was the best use of my cleaning time. Today, it's warm enough to start cleaning the fence line. I got it cut down last fall, but there's still a few tiny trash trees and suckers that need to be dug out.

Added: I know that we can still get snow! My fingers are crossed that we are finished with blizzards and single digit temps. I've had enough of that for now.

Same here Meemur!
Started the spring cleaning! All but two dogs are outside in their pens with fresh straw and pen cleaned out and got that burnt.
Went and got a big fresh bale of straw.
The neutered male cat is out with the other cats now. So the other two small dogs are going to stay upstairs in my room. The floor is wood so I can sweep it easier.
OMG. Shop vac, regular vac. Mop. Much dumping.
Took vacuum apart and cleaned it.
I'm on a roll.

Looks like parts of siding got pull off with the winds. Grass is growing.

Shopping wore me and Cary out. I think he's ready for a nap. I just finished dating and putting everything away and put on some eggs to boil for my salad, tonight. Cary gets pizza rolls. Too pooped to cook. He will eat those while he watches soccer later on.

We got everything on our lists, but the man who has the farmer's market/stand wasn't there again, today. I'll have to wait, until veggies and fruits begin to be harvested, before I can buy there, again. I had to make do with Walmart's produce and fruit. It was all fresh, so I didn't mind, but I'd rather buy from him. We try to support small local businesses when we can.

Now, while I'm resting, I'm going to go over to the "Main" to see what we missed while we were gone......It's getting scary out there!

I forgot to mention that gas where we always stop was $3.79/gal, today!

North central Florida--gas topped $4 yesterday. I put another 3 gallons in the tank to top me off.

Made a number of small runs to Dollar Tree, Dollar General and grocery stores. We don't need any major preps as I have been doing this for 30 years. But I did get a few minor things to top off some supplies. I have nowhere to put anything anymore, so I try to find little nooks and crannies to put stuff away.

All of my meds have recently been refilled, except for one that is next week. Always feel better when that is done, though I do have a pretty good margin on most of the meds. None of them are "lifesaving" required. My allergies have been kicking my behind lately as everything is in bloom and my car is just covered in pollen. Made sure I had plenty of prescription and OTC allergy meds.

Just waiting for the other shoe to drop while I keep living my life.

We always buy our gas at a little gas station in Mom's small town. In Tupelo, it has already topped $4/gal there, too.

My pantry is stocked as much as it can be. When grocery shopping, I pick up a few items to keep everything topped off. After today's haul at the meat store, both of my chest freezers are full to the brim. If I had bought one more package of meat, it would not have fit.

As for our RX meds, we keep a 3 month supply on hand at all times. I wish we could get them for a year at a time, but we can't.

We're not living in fear, either. Just taking one step at a time one day at a time.

It's $3.49/regular around here. Fortunately, I'll be retired soon and can cut back on driving. I'm taking gas prices into account as I'm picking additional gardening plots. I can walk or bike to the community garden, but the one where I may plant squash is farther out and requires a car ride, so I may rethink that.

I avoided squash borers last year by using a virgin plot. I was attempting to do the same this year in another area. In any case, I can't go back to last year's plot because there will be corn there this year. The problems of a gardener . . . :geek:

Filled up today at 3.59…my usual place was lined up 6-8 deep every pump.
Ended up at DD’s tonight watching the kids. Dgd is sick and wanted to see Granny but didn’t feel like a car ride so I came to her. Dd and dsil have gone to a visitation for a friend of his killed in a wreck….lots of wrecks lately.

Yesterday I felt well enough to do some cleaning and make chili for supper. We are having it again tonight.

Hubby went to see Dr. Jeff. He got antibiotics too. It's some sort of respiratory infection, but not Covid or flu. Hubby is not as sick as I was. But he went to the dr sooner because he knew not to wait.

I made a good breakfast this morning. I barely ate anything the last few days. I lost at least 5 pounds. Some of that is dehydration. I am trying to remedy that. It seems to be better this afternoon. I got out a hydration drink and drank some. I tried to work outside a little, but the smoke from the prescribed burns made me cough too much. I found some things to clean in the house instead. Hopefully, tomorrow will be even better. I have too much to get done to be sick.

Bless you all.

Has No Life - Lives on TB
It's been a good week so far. Got paid yesterday for half of the cleaning I've done (it's oK - the cleaning is only half done!), got a lead today on another class to teach, got a new client yesterday to work with on nutrition, and had a couple good meetings today (most of the time I don't find much value in them). The weather is gorgeous (which for March is a little.... unsettling). My only complaint is having to take decongestants to keep my ears open, which really dry me out. I need to do some herbal research when I have a minute.

Just checked the price at Giant Food...the have gas just across the parking lot....$3.79...not too bad..you get a gas point for every $ spent...plus there are bonus..points for lots of things..if you spend $20.00 in produce during the month you might get an extra 150 points..just an example..so it is easy to rack up a lot of points on things you buy anyway...100 pts equals $0.10 off a gallon..up to a $1...off a gallon..I have a $1...so we will use that one the next fill up..takes a bit of time to keep track of all the bonus points ..but with gas going up like crazy...it is well worth it....

It's going to be such a beautiful day, today, that we are taking up going for our walks again. 83 for our high with sunny skies. I need the exercise, after being closed up in the house all winter. I'm going to do some stretches, before I go. I haven't gained any weight over the winter, but I have had trouble losing as much as I want. Walking, hopefully, will get rid of these last few pounds I want to lose. 10 more pounds to lose to be at my goal weight. I'm trying to reach that by the end of May when I next see my rheumatologist. My hip and knee are better, but I'm still going to push him to find out what the problem is, even if it means I have to see and orthopedic specialist.

I'll just be doing household chores today. Laundry, sweeping, and dusting. It's almost time to open all the curtains and windows for a good house airing out. I plan to wash and clean all the windows, once that happens. They really need a good cleaning. I did our bedroom windows one day last week. I'll leave the outside of the windows for Cary to do when he pressure washes the house this summer.

Taco salad for supper.

It's 55 and sunny. The housework is mostly complete: I've got the dishwasher running, and I'll toss in a load of laundry when it's finished.

I'm going to take a walk (too stiff for bike riding this morning) and go from there. If my back feels better, I'll go do errands.

[Added: I switched back to warm weather walking shoes. I'm always a little stiff for a day or two.]

Making the grocery run I have put off until the pantry is an empty void. We have used up a lot of my home canned stash in last couple years. While I still have a decent amount in that category, bread, flour, produce and the few canned items we buy are down to zip. I have put shopping off primarily due to budget issues that will finally be resolved next month.

I will put a shopping list into AI and see which of 2 towns has the best prices today. No pickups. Instacart tends to be the groc stores' choice and is likely to cancel the order without reason or notice. Wally world does pickup but they are a last choice for food.

Still need to tackle our taxes, will do that between training modules sent from latest client. Since I know the info they require I run the modules at 1.5 to 1.75 speed. The amount of woke is still nauseating but it goes by faster, .

High 80s for a week now. Deer are enjoying the new grass. Inlaws place has an abundant population of gray squirrels. Unfortunately they aren't as fun as the more trusting red ones.

I know that lots here avoid Walmart...but we do use them a lot ...mostly for name brand items...because they sell the identical item for less..than all the grocery stores..near us..and we are lucky here ..they do sell Perdue fresh chicken...no antibiotics ever...I avoid Tyson chicken because they use antibiotics...

We use Walmart almost exclusively, because they are the cheapest in town. There are 2 other grocery stores in town, but they look and smell filthy. Their prices are higher, too. I also like the "one stop shop". To shop anywhere else would have us driving for 30-45 mins. one way. Not doing that.

I don't have a problem with the Walmarts in my area. I shop there for household supplies that I can't get (or don't want to buy) at Aldi. I buy some food items there, but I get meat either from local farmers or at Fareway.

I do wish we could get an Aldi in the town we shop. Aldi's is one place that is a 45 min drive one way. We go into Tupelo for doctor visits, but Aldi's is all away across the city from where we go. Plus, I need to shop in between doctor visits.
