Has No Life - Lives on TB
I posted my recipe in Granny's Kitchen in the meatloaf recipe thread.
Sherree An idea is to check out DIY shampoo. recipes on line. I chose one that only had a smidge almond oil. I am traveling at present but can share later. I go thru periods of making it and am constantly tweaking it. But I think I have found the recipe for us finally!I need help. Do any of you ladies have oily hair? I do. I've been using Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo for oily hair for years. I loved it. Now, Walmart or any of the other stores I shop carry it any longer. I've looked everywhere. I stopped in at Walgreen to pick up Cary's RX and found a daily clarifying shampoo there for oily hair, but it was $17 for a small bottle! I have long hair and a small bottle won't last me very long, and it costs more than what I want to pay.
I was thinking of trying to make my own, but I have no clue as to where to start. I was wondering if ya'll have any ideas or recipes I could make with stored products. I still have a good stock of my shampoo, but when that runs out, I'll have to make my own if I can.

Yes and I have prepped several years worth. The almond oil is the only thing I worry about turning rancid but for now…stored for 3 years… no problem. The oil could probably be left out. I do it for conditioner. Will send it when we get home.I would love your recipe! When you have time. Is it made with ingredients that are easily stored?

Usually by the time I get up and online someone has started it but if they haven’t in the morning, I’ll try my best.Would someone please start the thread tomorrow morning for me? I'm at daughter's until tomorrow afternoon and don't have the patience to tap out a post one letter at a time!
Thank You!
Hopefully at least one of us will remember by then. And I've got lots and lots and lots to plant between now and then. And I still can't find pineberries locally. So I may mail order them. Or wait until the locals, who are growing them at home, throw some up on marketplace.Kyrsyan... remind me this fall, about the jewelweed seeds! It grows everywhere here...

Another pretty cheap and very effective option is Ground Flax Seed powder. Walmart carries a 1 lb pkg for $3.48. Lasts a long time. Take 2 tbsp and sprinkle over fruit with yogurt at breakfast or even mix in water and chug. For people that have occasional bathroom issues. If you can't go number 2, try 2 prunes or a small glass of prune juice followed by a cup of hot coffee. This was the advice given to my great aunt more than 40 years ago by her dr. It worked for her.

I am allergic to perfume/scents and the only shampoo I can use is Suave strawberry. I was using Ivory unscented shampoo and conditioner when they stopped making it. So, when I found the Suave that I could use, I went and bought a dozen bottles which I'm still using. Each store only had a few bottles, so I went to numerous stores to acquire my supply.I need help. It’s my understanding that ground flax seeds lose their nutrients quickly so I have one of those little electric coffee grinders and grind my fresh for each use.Another pretty cheap and very effective option is Ground Flax Seed powder.
