I got my permanent crown today. I am glad to have that behind me. On the way to the dentist we stopped 3 places looking for canning lids. Struck out at all three places. But we picked up a few things to add to our stores including a package of toilet paper.

We stopped at the Mennonite farm stand and bought another bag of corn. Our friend said this is the last week they will have corn. I will have to freeze corn tomorrow. After we got home, I canned 6 quarts of tomatoes and the last pint of salsa that would not fit in the canner last night. There are enough tomatoes left to make a few jars of tomatoes creoles. It will depend more upon how much okra I have. The rest of the tomatoes will be canned plain.

Time to unload the canner and hit the hay. There is a lot to do tomorrow.

I just received a three month supply of my blood thinner medication. The VA is a love/hate kind of place lol. In this instance I love them. So I have enough to get me through November.

I picked up some dry pinto beans today and more canned tomatoes. I spent the morning working in my shop. I'm trying to see exactly what I have and to get it all organized.

I received a letter from my health ins. co,...they are allowing an xtra 3 month supply to be filled which they will cover, and customer does not have to wait. does that make sense the way I wrote it?? I wonder what they know that we don't know???? more drug shortages???

less time associating with other people - the insurance company might be strained on customer service/processing department people - just plain stopping complaints about the old normal times 3 month restrictions ...

Time to build my reloads for hunting, then check my zero on rifle and scope. The weather is cool and rain is expected all week. We need one moose.

my wood pile is deep. I have over 20 cords cut and dried. Plus another 10 cords standing of ringed trees. Probably ring more in fall.

The river has fish. I usually freeze 25 to 30 salmon. Then smoke ten salmon for food and gifts.

My jam and jelly is well stocked: strawberry, blue berry, fireweed. It makes great gifts too.

The garden is just ok it seems, kinda cool here. Hopefully crops will kick in in August. I might have ship in some vegetables. Cooler summers aren’t good for gardens.

it also time to make freezer meals: chili, and pizza. These meals are cheap but handy nutrition when we get home tired.

oh, and we yearly supply run done in town. We mailed 6 totes
