Sorry for the late start folks; too bleary eyed when I got in from work/errands last night to do more than click on a few threads.

Daughter sent a text last evening asking if I could stop at WM; tank tops on clearance for $1 each, so I did stop in on the way home and was able to find 2 in her size. She also notified me of a person in need, and asked if there was a sale on diapers anywhere, so I popped into CVS, scanned my card, and picked up 2 pkg of Huggies diapers @ 2/$20, 2 sixty count boxes of 'old people' (no, not Geritol lol!) vitamins for Hubby and myself at $8.19, buy one/get one 50% off, and two peanut butter cups @ $1.25, buy one get one free that totaled $33.54. Used a $10 Extra Care Buck, $6/$30 and $2/$8 vitamin purchase scanner coupons, 2 - $2 Huggies coupons = $22 off. With tax, I paid $12 and change out of pocket; got back a $5 ECB.

Restless sleep last night, so during one of my 'awake' periods, I shut off my alarm and just let myself sleep until I woke up. Texted one friend and apologized for not being willing to forgo coffee in order to get to aqua aerobics on time; will text the other one in a bit to see if she wants to go up to the pool a bit later today to exercise on our own.

Not sure what Hubby and I have planned for our day off together other than a short ride on the Mule to see how I handle it - can't go too far, or off road/rocked lanes because it is muddy as heck around here; Hubby nearly got bogged down with it yesterday taking it to our little range and I'm not nearly as good a driver as he is. I'd like to spend a little time with the Sunday papers/ads, and there is always plenty of house cleaning, etc... to keep me busy.

And speaking of getting busy - I need to get busy and fill this coffee cup back up!

Take care all; wishing you all a great week!

Sitting here with my Dr. Pepper. We got some snow yesterday, and the roads were awful last night. Took an ambulance 3+ hours to go about 50 miles - took me an hour to get home from work, usually takes 15 minutes. So..... yeah, not going to school, a usual 2 hour trip one-way, today! Came home last night to find DH had made soup for me and cleaned the house top to bottom. No, none of you other ladies can have him - he's all mine!!

Today, I need to get caught up on laundry and write a paper. I also want to try out my new freeze dryer that DH bought for me. I don't plan on leaving the house except to do chores.

Freeze dryer and a clean house, Moldy..... pinch me, I'm dreaming!!! Glad you got home safe in the snow!

Made it up to the pool all three days I had off; did some exercises I hadn't done in a while and paid for it with some aching lats the first two days, but did feel better today; must have gotten them stretched out a bit. Neighbor had to run to my work town after the pool today, so I rode along to keep her company and did a little shopping, stocking up on both vitamins and batteries at buy one/get one free at CVS, using a combo of Extra Care Bucks and scanner coupons and a little cash out of pocket. Hubby and I are now good for 6 month on multivitamins - I think I'm a quart low on some vitamin or mineral or something as I seem to want to nap every afternoon... If Granny were still with us, I'd probably be holding my nose while she poured a gulp of cod liver oil down my throat , but I think I'll settle for rummaging in the freezer for some of those beet greens I froze last summer, and serve 'em up with a side of carrots; maybe chase 'em with a cup of sassafrass tea - that was another of Granny's spring tonics! I did manage to fend off the nap after I got home this afternoon by sweeping and mopping the front half of the house, then headed out to fill the birdfeeders, after which I slogged down the road to the edge of the property and back before plopping down on the front porch steps and pushing up my sweatshirt sleeves and pant legs to gain a little Vitamin D from the sun that decided to peek out for a bit.

I have to work Thursday and Friday; will probably hit CVS for a few more items one of those evenings on my way home from work. Saturday, granddaughter has a cheer competition but it is a three hour drive one way (not too mention very close to a city that is known for riots), so I will leave attending that up to daughter/SIL and see if the grandsons want to hang out with me instead. Saturday is also the start of a basketball tournament, it is only an hour away and we are the #1 seed so I will likely head that direction, stopping at the Amish store to stock up on a few items - flour, oatmeal, seasonings - on my way. Sunday afternoon, the grandsons have a wrestling tournament; I will attend that, and plan to take advantage of being in a larger town to hit some sales at a grocery store we don't have close to home.

Reckon I'd better stop typing and get this posted, it's close to 9pm and 0430 comes awful early in the morning! Take care all; stay safe out there!

We made our first order through Chewy.com and got a lot (192, to be exact) twin packs of wet cat food. It arrived today and it all put up on the cat food shelves. We got free shipping and 15% off (which covered the tax and a bit more) and it is a lot easier than going all over town to different stores to find a few packs here and a few packs there. Picky cats will only eat the pate and only certain flavors and a lot of stores around here have gone to only carrying a couple of flavors of the pate, one of which they refuse to eat at all. This also worked out to be cheaper, so we are happy and the cats are happy. Next month will be a similar order of the small cans of cat food. With what we already had on hand, that should take us back up to a full year in wet food for 4 cats. Cat food is certainly not getting any cheaper.

About three weeks ago we had the house replumbed. Last week they took the tub out of my bathroom and turned it into a walk-in shower. Much easier on the old knees as far as getting in and out. An expensive month, but it had been planned for a while.

My dad is doing much worse - I'm thinking he will be gone in less than 2 weeks. I'm trying to contact family and get as much done as possible to try to be ready for the 'call'. His home is an 8 hour drive away. If you have any extra prayers, I would appreciate them. I can't think my way out of a paper bag at this point.

A prayer of safe, comfortable travel home for both of you. May our Lord welcome your father into his mansion of many rooms. May you be amply blessed with strength and grace. May our Lord's messenger guide your safely thru this, may he guide your path, your decisions, your actions and your words.

Praying for your dad and all your family, moldy! Its so hard thinking clearly during such stressful times!

We hit up CVS for the Scott on sale yesterday. Added it to the stash and saved a good bit of money at the same time. Went to Publix tonight and bought bogo's and other sale items, including a $50 gas card, and only spent $85, saving over $66. Woot! Then on to Aldi's. :) This was our big shopping trip for the month. We'll pick up other bogo's during the month, but not spend anywhere near what we did tonight.

It just hit me that Christmas and my birthday gifts can be considered prepping in a way too. Hubby always keeps his eyes open during the year for denim jumpers in really good shape at the thrift stores and then gives me them on those days. They are what I wear 99% of the time and, especially this year, he gave me enough to last for several years. We can't find them new anywhere, and I don't like to buy new anyways, so this works great for us.
