I've brought the laundry in from the clothesline, and Cary is mowing. The sun is still shining for now.

Taco Salad for tonight, and grilled hamburgers with all the fixin's tomorrow afternoon if it isn't raining. I'll fry them if it's raining. Now that our temps are nice, we will be grilling a lot.

Home fellowship tomorrow morning.

So sorry, Judy, about your freezer. Did you lose everything in it?
I don't think so, most was still very cold so I just put something against the door to keep it shut. I'll got through things soon, it needed cleaning out anyway and defrosted.

We had sliced chicken sandwiches for lunch. and I just had another piece plain. The package was generic so I couldn't tell what had been added although I could see black pepper and also taste it. I let it cook off a little bit and then put it all in glass containers for the freezer, I'll put it in the freezer once it gets refrigerator cold. I used fairly small containers that held 4 pieces, that will be enough to take out for a meal, the pieces were medium sized. I don't have enough containers the sames size so I used ones closest to the same size to stack in the freezer.

I had plastic containers that stack perfectly, but won't use them anymore except in an emergency, I just can't bring myself to throw those particular ones out, although I have thrown some other in the burn barrel.

The sun is out and its in the mid 80's, but not too bad. I hate hot weather.

Finished off the chicken salad I made last night before it got too old. Was made from canned chicken breast in my food storage that was getting close to date. The cans are only at best half full after draining all of the water/broth. They used to be three quarters chicken. It takes two large cans to be equivalent to two small cans even ten years ago. Then again, I remember when a McDonald burger was 15 cents and gasoline was 12.9 cents per gallon.

I got lucky last night. We caught a section of the line of thunderstorms that was much less intense than what passed both north and south of us. Only got .08" of rain, so no new water in the basement. Hopefully the ground will dry out enough before Monday night that the next round of storms won't flood the basement again. Potential for severe storms then.

Had a wonderful Sabbath service today via teleconference. With my wife's and my health issues, it is a blessing to be able to meet that way. Church headquarters has lots of sermons available for download with transcripts, so material for the service is no problem. I am the one who normally feeds the audio for the music and sermons onto the line. Good thing I am not having to do the preaching. :lkick:

Hopefully my wife will figure out what she wants to eat tonight pretty soon since I am starting to get hungry.
