Just went to the local gas stn and was told they only have diesel left (Vancouver island)

If the quote in my previous post was correct and applies to other British Columbia refineries, it could mean that you won't see new gasoline supplies for perhaps two weeks. Dec. 5-6 before that one refinery starts up operations again (and that's assuming the pipeline reopens when expected) and then they have to distribute the newly refined products out through the system to get down to the gas stations.

Where I live on Vancouver Island it hasn't been that bad. A few shortages like eggs and chicken and still
only allowed 30 liters a gas per trip to the gas station. Other areas like the sumas prairie on the mainland are still
dealing with flooding. a few highways are open for getting goods from the east, but could shut down at a moments notice due to rain and mudslides.

All they need right now is to lose electric power citywide.
NOBODY has mentioned electric power so I assume that, INCREDIBLY, nobody has lost power. But if power goes out, it makes getting back to normal even more difficult.

Well, without the MLRS, of course. This would bridge at least a couple of their problems.
Perhaps ring up Vlad and get a couple airlifted over here on their mega-transport plane??

Vancouver is not the problem other than the limit on gasoline…. Everything east of there has its own set of things to deal with. Infrastructure mainly road, bridges, rail lines and supports for hillsides won’t even have assessments till mid January.
truckers are allowed on some main arteries but not with regular vehicles as too many accidents were happening with the slower trucks and impatient cars.
I have been waiting an extra week past the delivery date of furniture coming across the border from USA, and the only message I keep getting about delivery is the roads into BC and Alberta are still flooding (there were more rains the next couple of weeks), so goods & supplies and presents, and building materials are all backed up.
Saw videos of drones on YouTube showing hundreds of RVs burned in the middle of flooded land… don’t know how it happened but they were burned to ashes row on row. It is going to take a long time to clear water from houses and it is freezing now and snow is falling, so the problems continue as supplies are not consistent. No way to repair without lumber and drywall. Horrible mess still
