MECKLENBURG, N.C. (TNND) — The family of a repeat offender accused of randomly attacking people in North Carolina -- and recording himself in the act before posting videos on social media -- is begging judges to keep him behind bars, saying they fear he poses a danger to the public if released.

Hunt's loved ones reportedly said they contacted police twice this week leading up to his arrest on Thursday.

"Please help us. How can we get my brother in an institution? How can we get him medicated? And it leads us back to the same all the time -- he's released," Hunt's sister, who wanted to remain anonymous, told WSOC.

Hunt's sister also told WSOC he was violent with her and her mother, saying he hit them both in the past.

"He completely just flipped," she said, per the outlet. "And that turned into violence and we had to call the cops then. And every time something
Police said Hunt was most recently arrested following a violent assault on a woman. At the scene, officers were shown a social media account containing multiple videos, which they said they were previously aware of and investigating.

According to police, one of the videos depicted an assault reported on July 30, with Hunt allegedly punching a woman on a sidewalk. The woman, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Hunt was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, according to authorities.

Online records from the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office show a at least nine prior arrests for crimes that range from probation violations to assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently in custody at the sheriff's office, police said.

Hunt's sister told WSOC she and her family have received threats and fear her brother will be released again without the necessary medication or institutionalization. She is worried his violence will escalate and he will kill someone -- or be killed.

"I'm afraid that either that will happen or that somebody will take his,” she told WSO

First I would look at my exits, make sure there clear. Then look at my sixes, for any witnesses. Then plant my foot up into his crotch as hard as I could, then exit the stage.

What a moron. That "extra stuff" is the dried out layers that protect the inner layers from drying out. And she's so stupid as to not be able to figure out that what she peeled off is almost weightless and didn't even cost a fraction of a cent.

Two cruise guests were arrested after allegedly forcing their way inside a cabin and attacking fellow passengers.

Ohio residents Gannon Jacox, 29, and his girlfriend, 28-year-old Brooklyn Hicks, were arguing when one of the victims “asked them to quiet down,” Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey in Florida said in an Aug. 16 Facebook post. Hicks allegedly went to confront them and Jacox followed, recording on his cell phone, officials said.

Jacox then told Hicks to “beat them up,” authorities said, and the pair allegedly pushed their way into the other passenger's cabin. A fight broke out and Jacox allegedly hit all three occupants, including a 9-year-old-child, but none were seriously injured.

Hicks also struck one victim, according to an arrest affidavit. The couple had been drinking alcohol prior to the incident, the Facebook post said.

Jacox faces three charges of felony burglary with assault or battery, one charge of felony child abuse and one misdemeanor charge of battery, per court records. Hicks was charged with one count of felony burglary with assault or battery and one count of misdemeanor battery.

Attorneys listed for the pair did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Authorities did not name the cruise line or ship they were sailing on.

This female officer did the right thing, but she was a total emotional wreck. She first was reaching out her hands to him, asking if he were all right. Then she saw his knife and asked him to drop it. Instead he came toward her with knife drawn. She kept saying, "I don't want to shoot you! What's going on? I don't want to shoot you!" Then as she finally recognized that she would have to use deadly force to stop him, she lost it emotionally and began fully screaming at him: "Put the knife down! Please! Put the knife down! Please! Please!" Her hands, however, were steady as she held the gun and eventually fired. But she should know better than to beg or try to reason with an approaching armed man.

the words might have been for the camera, she had a very good case that she tried to save him, but he refuseed
