A happy ending--but could have ended MUCH differently--

(from Facebook--do not have link to original news story)

An 11-year-old boy struck a burglar on the head with a machete after the man broke into his home. He later said he would be prepared to do it again if the burglar's two accomplices returned.

On the morning of 14 June 2019, Braydon Smith was at his family's home in Mebane, North Carolina, when three people arrived to rob the house.

A woman knocked on the front door as a man broke in through a window, while a third waited outside by a car.

Braydon's mother was on the phone with him at the time and heard it all unfold.

The intruder found a pellet rifle belonging to the homeowner and forced Braydon into a bedroom closet at gunpoint.

He then went into the living room and began stealing electronics.

This was his mistake. When the intruder briefly turned away, Braydon seized his moment: "He found my phone on the counter and he took the phone but he dropped it, and that's when I picked up my machete and hit him in the back of the head."

The intruder retaliated, kicking the boy in the stomach, then in the side of the head. Braydon swung again and missed.

But the man was now bleeding heavily from the machete wound. He dropped the stolen items and fled with his accomplices.

The suspect, 19-year-old Jataveon Dashawn Hall, turned up at a hospital with a serious head wound, then escaped the ward in a hospital gown and socks, slipping out while staff weren't watching.

He was eventually caught at his mother's apartment in Burlington after an anonymous tip, placed under a $100,000 bond, and charged with breaking and entering, second-degree kidnapping, and assault on a child under 12.

Braydon later explained that his father had taught him exactly what to do if someone broke in, a lesson that came from a previous burglary at the same house years earlier.

His father's advice was simple: “If they come in the door, you let them have it."

Braydon's message to the intruder was equally straightforward: "You shouldn't have done what you've done. You're better off to get a job than breaking into other people's houses."

Neal Boortz re-posted on Facebook this story from New Orleans 4 years ago about Linda Frickey--who was killed by four teenagers (3 girls and 1 boy) who hijacked her car and then dragged her behind it more than a block, severing her arm which was caught in the seat belt.

She had just turned 73.

The video from the Facebook reel shows the teenage girls LAUGHING, SHOUTING, and DANCING in the courtroom---utterly oblivious to the enormity of what they had done:

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE/Gray News) – Four teenagers have been arrested in connection to a gruesome carjacking that severed an elderly woman’s arm. She died from her injuries a short time later.

New Orleans police said Linda Frickey, 73, was killed Monday afternoon in the crime that has left neighbors traumatized.

Police said four teenagers carjacked Frickey and dragged her outside the vehicle for more than a block while she was entangled in her seat belt’s strap. Her arm was detached from her body, and neighbors who ran to help said she died in front of them.

“It was dragging a lady by the seatbelt outside the car. The door had closed on the seatbelt, and she was stuck in it … I got out of my vehicle screaming ‘please stop,’ other neighbors were also screaming,” neighbor Todd Ecker said.

Another neighbor, Leanne Mascar, said she ran to help Frickey and was hoping to get her loose from the car.

“I just started running for her, I thought if I could somehow, I don’t know what I could do, but I thought if I could dislodge her from this car … when I looked down her body was already there, and her arm was ... It’s just not something you expect to see,” Mascar said.

Mascar said through tears and screams, she ran to get a sheet from her home to cover Frickey.

“She was laying there naked, and I thought the indignity she just suffered was already too much,” said Mascar.

By this point, anyone within earshot rendered what aid they could, including Leanne Mascar’s husband Mark Mascar.
“Just to sit beside a woman who’s a mother or grandmother and watch her fade away, as my wife said, we were praying.

I was angry, I was telling her to hang in there because every time I heard a siren I was hoping and praying it was the ambulance. I kept telling her to hang in there, breathing, her eyes were moving. I’ve never seen something so horrific,” Mark Mascar said.

Frickey’s car was recovered about a mile away, but the suspects had fled.

Police released images from nearby surveillance cameras of the four people believed to be responsible for the brutal attack. After those images were disseminated by news media Monday afternoon, one 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were both turned into police by their parents.

“This was an incredibly difficult decision, on the behalf of these parents, and I want to commend them for doing the right thing,” New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said at a news conference.

A 16-year-old girl and a second 15-year-old girl were also arrested.

Ferguson said all four teens are facing second-degree murder charges, and he plans to personally ask Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams to prosecute the suspects in adult court, where they could face life sentences with the possibility of parole after 25 years.

“I would say absolutely I will ask they be charged as adults,” Ferguson said. “I mean, look at the nature of the crime. Brazenness. Broad daylight. No regard for this woman hanging outside the car ... At some point, we have to hold people accountable.”

A common factor in most of these home videos is the domicile is public housing.

We're subsidizing the fracture of our culture.

Mentioned in another thread was a nearby small town that just bought 3 or 4 new police cars. They went for the last couple decades with one occasional parttime police person. Now they're hiring several deputies as part time officers. A closed bank is now the city PD.

It looks like a bank robbery just happened at the bank because they climb out of the county car to climb in the city car.

Just yesterday morning over coffee a county school employee was describing the finishing touches on a new school. He was describing the horrible condition of the old school that is closing. DW had to ask "what will happen to the old school"?

He proudly stated the town would probably get it for a dollar, get grants and make "affordable housing" out of it. I had the right to remain silent but not the fortitude.

So my comment: " so my tax dollars are building a new school then the government will get into my other pocket to re do the old school". He blinked like a toad in a hailstorm. He was taken aback by my comment. I don't think it ever occurred to him to consider the fiscal indignity on taxpayers.

Now I know why they got all the new cop cars...

We deserve everything we're getting...

Absolutely, our own government's subsidies and enables the bad behaviors and violence.

Its got to stop cold, and many need to face reality. When it does, there will be many armies of humanoids bent on destruction and animalistic evilness. Its going to be bloody. All by government mandate.

This is what it was like last night in Newport Beach on the 4th of July. Business were forced to close after being looted and chaos erupted from non-residents

Earlier people in Newport were swarming policing officers, multiple police officers confined to be injured after things were being thrown at them

I think it’s pretty clear by looking at this footage there likely isn’t a single actual Newport Beach resident anywhere to be seen

California is being taken over by people who shouldn’t be there

Isn’t it amazing…. that Cheney Orr, a Reuters photographer just “happened” to be aboard a Washington, D.C. Metro train to snap this photograph of a lone black female rider surrounded by members of Patriot Front.

If you didn’t know better… you’d almost think it was staged

Yeah, she looks safe. Not one person bothering her and this is staged

Know why there isn't any video? Because none of the white supremacists were even paying attention to or bothering her.

In fact this photo actually shows that racism is dead in America.

Almost as if SPLC is paying them too.

The first thing I thought before I knew Reuters was behind it, was this is totally a staged photo. My intuition was strengthened after I found out Reuters was behind it.

We know the iconic Rosa Parks bus photograph was staged. If you had to guess: who orchestrated and funded the “Rosa Farts” photo op and made sure the fake media and left-wing pundits amplified the narrative?

Mitchell Gant: I like “Rosa Sharts” better

Diamond: The photo is staged. The photographer didn't conveniently appear on the bus with amazing lighting.

And those are government employees. Specifically law enforcement officers of some kind. FBI/CIA

Psyop slop again!!!

What the media is actually showing is that, she’s at least safe.
If it was the other way around, the White woman would be butchered.

I noticed the ones being arrested and the ones around them keep yelling “don’t touch me! Don’t touch them!” Where do they get off thinking that they are not allowed to be touched by police officers? The laws don’t apply to them because they’re black?
In their own minds, no matter what they do, it's not wrong--because they wanted to. So anyone trying to stop them is automatically 'violating their boundaries,' 'being racist,' etc.

For those of you who don’t know, Hilton Head Island has always been a safe stronghold for wealthy families. The single, basic agreement between the residents and the police is that this crap would never happen.

The response should be interesting — probably be a new police chief soon.
Sounds like they need to crack down on AirBnB rentals that are just ghetto parties held in nice locations. It got bad enough in the Poconos with hood rats coming in from Philly and NYC that localities are working to ban such rentals. Not to mention renters having to deal with trashed houses.

And this violence is just for fun, on full stomachs, with all services running.
Imagine them a week after grid-down, starving in the dark with no running water.
Further comments at the link tell it like it is:

There are NOT "teen takeovers"----They are black riots!

They call them “teen takeovers” to hide the fact that they’re really violent black riots. They’re not just taking over. Such a lame euphemism. They’re rioting and committing other crimes. Vandalizing. Stealing. Assaulting people. This violates 18 USC 2101. Up to 5 yrs in prison.
