North of Sicily in Italy is an active volcano which just had its alert level raised. Right now, a plume of steam is rising from this volcano which is known as Vulcano. This volcano last erupted in 1890, and is overdue for its next eruption. So, does this raised alert status mean an eruption is imminent? What exactly does it imply? This video will answer these two questions, and discuss the status of this famous volcano.

Better hope that Yellowstone doesn't go off. Cause it if does you can kiss off the pretty much everything east of it for several generations!!

I know this sounds whacked but my husband and I watched Expedition X with Josh Gates the other night and they were investigating a group in Thailand that meditated and claimed to speak to extraterrestrials. They got the tsunami at Fukushima right and posted a video warning of it the day before. They also correctly predicted the big Christmas Day tsunami in Indonesia.That got a lot of attention. They just aired the episode Sept. 15 and the group is now warning of many volcanic eruptions like the world has never seen. Obviously they filmed the episode either this spring or Summer to get into production and air time for September. I wonder if they are right again….

I'm over by Long Valley too. It's about 37 miles as the crow flies. When it acted up the last time we drove over to take "before" pictures. :) We took photos of the tree kill, fumaroles, and Hot Creek. It was awesome!

Are they giving any dates regarding these eruptions? Asking because apparently they got dates correct for the tsunamis. Locations?

That Yellowstone kill and ash map is frightening. I imagine if Long Valley cooks off, potentially (probably?) the parts of CA spared by Yellowstone will still get blanketed. God forbid either happens. :shkr:
