The surge in new COVID cases is putting an enormous strain on hospitals, jeopardizing patients who cannot get the medical attention they need because of a lack of space.

Heartbreaking story of Afghanistan Vetern with an obstruction and couldn’t get surgery because there were no ICU beds anywhere. It’s not just about Covid patients anymore, Covid is overwhelming the system, affecting every person that needs medical help.

This was an emergency surgery, but doctors/hospitals have been delaying major surgeries for patients and they are dying from not getting their surgeries because Covid patients are using all the ICU beds….lawsuits on the horizon from patients family’s that passed because their loved ones didn’t get their bypass or transplant in time, etc. …….

Or insurance companies could go with not allowing admission if not vaccined…… this is a medical nightmare that could affect anyone of us.

Summerthyme (BTW... .Even IF true- I've spent time in a "hall bed" in a hospital in flu season more than once. This is the fault of hospital control boards continually cutting allowed bed and ICU bed numbers in what I swear is to keep prices high! And it happens pretty much every bad flu season.)
