CORONA VaxxLand Jab II--The Adventure Continues.

Got my second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vax today, and am reporting as promised. Thank you all again for not arguing the rights and wrongs of the matter here.

Was directed to a MUCH bigger--and more Orwellian--site for Jab Two, an airfield on the far outskirts of a Phoenix suburb. Incoming traffic was condensed down to six lanes of cars herded through a fan-cooled tent with near-German precision and efficiency. I looked for--but did not see--an iron arch reading ARBEIT MACHT FREI.

New at this location: At least two soldiers (Army) walking around in camo, and a third fellow dressed in black sporting a Molle vest loaded with what appeared to be communication equipment. He was carrying a tripod and what looked like a camera bag. No visible weapons. Also new, a sign encouraging folks to share their wonderful vax experience on Instagram.

The only reaction I had to Jab One was a hot flash of volcanic proportions. Jab Two, I'm told, is often a bigger thrill. I will report tomorrow. If I die, Hunybee gets all my canning jars, and Summerthyme gets my yarn stash.

Thanks for posting this Cyberiot. I had my first Pfizer last Thursday and it was a nothing burger. Barely even felt the needle going in. My arm felt a little sore, like I had over done it that day. That's all. Of course I am in my sixties now too. I had been dreading that next shot though, so good to know that it's not always awful.
I'm not a shot/vaccine person. Haven't had anything since my twenties. It was a hard choice, but for me personally it boiled down to possible side effects of the Covid vs. possible side effects of the vaxx. I don't like some of the "long haul" information I am hearing. And supposedly the Trump family took it, hope that is true. A lot of the congress is taking it. Not trying to talk any one into anything, just sharing my thought process. We all have to make that choice for ourselves.

Glad you found value in my experience, IdahoMom. Full disclosure--I felt a little sleepy and lightheaded yesterday afternoon (26 hours post-Jab2) so I took a short nap. Slept like a rock last night. Everything seems fine this morning.

My understanding is that the Trumps took the vax at the end of January. Hope all goes well for you when you get your second jab. I enjoyed my nap!

I have felt fine. Spot on my arm is still a little sore but other than that one week post vax I am fine. Of course now I have to worry about the blood clots that have affected 6 out of almost 7 million people with the J&J vax...../sarcasm

Well, I suppose this is the "I got the jab" thread so I may as well add mine too. After much research (with the help of a lot my healthcare colleagues; some that incidentally work in pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry), risk assessment, and based on my general family situation with both sets of parents around...I rcvd my first Pfizer dose earlier today.

Walgreens, in my locale...is letting anyone 18+ to schedule an appointment to receive them. They made the process REALLY easy.

I'm 47, overweight, but have in range normal BP and clean bill of health/bloodwork/etc. I take no medications except for a baby aspirin everyday and VitD and beet root supplements.

So far...so good.
