to fear "I'm from the government I'm here to help"
I'm fully vaccinated …... No, I don't know "what's in it". Neither this vaccine nor the ones I had as a child. Nor do I know what's in the 11 secret herbs and spices at KFC.
I also don't know exactly what's in Ibuprofen or any other painkiller -- they just treat my headaches & my pains.
I don't know what's in tattoo ink, botox and fillers, or every ingredient in my soap, shampoo or deodorants. I don’t know the long term effect of mobile phone use, or whether or not that restaurant I just ate at REALLY used clean foods and washed their hands.
There's a lot of things I don't know.
I do know one thing: life is short. Very short. And I, personally, still want to do things. I want to travel and hug people without fear, and find a little feeling of life "before".
Throughout my life I've been vaccinated against many diseases: Measles, mumps, rubella, polio, chickenpox, hepatitis, influenza, tetanus. We trusted the science, and never had to suffer through or transmit any of those said diseases.
I'm vaccinated. Not because I’m a sheep or to please the government. Not to make other people do it. But I don't want to:
* die from Covid-19
* clutter a hospital bed if I get sick
* not be able to hug my loved ones
* not be able to travel & enjoy events
* live my life in fear
* live in a NEVER-ENDING PANDEMIC!
Can't say it any clearer. I'm vaccinated for me and I wear a mask for you.

I don't want to:

* die from Covid-19
You probably have less than a .5% chance of dying even if you are unvaxxed (depends on age and co-morbidities) some believe getting the jab has increased your chance of death. I think the jury is still out on that one

* clutter a hospital bed if I get sick
There are therapeutics for that. Even if you take none, probably wouldn't happen anyway.

* not be able to hug my loved ones
I am unvaxxed and hug my family, both vaxxed and unvaxxed. If someone in my family was afraid of my hugs then their loss.

* not be able to travel & enjoy events
Your choice. As for me, been on 20+ planes since 1/1/2020. Been to lovely beaches in Florida and twice to Mexico. Would travel more if more countries would open up.

* live my life in fear
Sounds like you actually do live in fear. For your sake I hope you can change that.

* live in a NEVER-ENDING PANDEMIC!
Me either, but my getting vaxxed isn't gonna help.

Can't say it any clearer. I'm vaccinated for me and I wear a mask for you.

Don't wear a mask for me, they just make me think you are a bank robber, a cancer patient, Or maybe worse, a liberal.

I'm fine with people getting the vaccine if it makes it feel better. Hope you feel better and are now hugging and traveling and able to get past your fears.

Hey, more power to you! That's what freedom of choice is all about.

I'm standing up to a lot of pressure right now. My research indicates that the vax is problematic, but that is my business. I social distance and avoid travel on air planes.

That is your right and your decision. My right and my decision is to go unvaxxed. Fear is a liar and the rights of one individual stop when they intrude on the rights of another.

Good luck and God speed.

God has a plan, Trust it!
I dont know what is in any of those things you can get from the pharmacy or doctor, but I do know one thing about them - ALL of them had to go through 7 YEARS of testing before they were proven safe. Their manufacturers were never given free reign and freedom from any ramifications from detriment done from taking them. For any of those medications or vaccines, *I* was NOT the testing guinea pig.

I have a larger chance of dying from a car accident or heart attack than I do from Covid. Most people who get Covid do not end up in the hospital. ALL of us, vaxxed or unvaxxed, have the same chance to get Covid. At present, HALF of one percent (0.5%) of the US population will be diagnosed with Covid. The vaccine offers NO immunity to catching it.

It is your right to "NOT KNOW" and follow along, just as it is my right "TO KNOW", and refuse.

Has No Life - Lives on TB
Everyone is supposed to be free to make their own choices. Do your research and make your decision. Everyone lives and dies by their choices. And never assume you know what's better for someone than they do. If you do, you are no better than the government. You don't know their story. You don't know how many comorbidities they have. You don't know their work/financial situation. Whenever it looks like there is no way out, people will grasp at anything to stay afloat.

I'm very happy that you are exercising your right to choice. High five. I support you.

But please do not believe that you are wearing a mask for me. Wear it because you wish to. Wear it because it helps to relieve your fear. If you really, honestly believe that the jab is protecting you then that jab should also protect me (if you can't get ill then you can't make me ill.) Also, if you really, honestly believe that the jab is protecting you then even if I get sick, you won't. Either way, if the jab is your protection then how does a mask make a big difference when you consider the size of virus molecules vs the size of mask openings ... and don't even get me started on a good fitting mask.

Of all the things you said - fear - is the most important. I too have fears. The difference between you and I is that I fear we WILL have a never ending pandemic if the politicians think they can use it to control me; that we will continue to have boosters every six months and that authoritarianism will continue to flourish. I don't fear the virus but I do fear how scumbags are using it to their benefit.

The vaxxed are actually the ones that are the hazard to public health.
But go ahead and keep deluding yourself...your right.

I am vaxxed. I did not do it for you, I did it for me because I have some underlying health problems. I live in Texas where the only people wearing a mask are those who will lose their job if they don't. The only time I wear a mask is when I go to the doctor. Then I wear a cloth mask, which is my own little joke (see next paragraph) but it is fine with them and their nurses.

I did my own research and came to my own conclusions: (1) the "jab" does very little good for anybody, either the taker or others, and (2) masks do more harm than good, especially on children, and cloth masks are of absolutely no benefit at all whatsoever to anyone. Those are my thoughts; your results may vary.

I am vaxxed for whatever protection it offers to me. I do not care if anyone else is vaxxed or not. I never ask, and if I find out someone is or isn't vaxxed it makes no difference to me.

Carry on...
