Many people will rationalize their way into taking the jab. Car payment, house payment, etc.

My small work group has presented a united front, ATM.
We say nope.
Looking around the lunch table, I secretly suspect I see which ones will fold first.
No rumors from on high whether our corporate brainchildren will even require it...

For anyone else curious about who Baylor Scott and White is. A medical center in Temple Texas.

That's their flagship hospital. They operate/control many smaller clinics and hospitals throughout Central Texas. They have a good-sized hospital with a lot of ancillary clinics here in College Station.

This will affect more than just the Temple location. S&W also has an insurance plan and Medicare HMO. I would be surprised if this mandate does not cover them as well.

Baylor Scott & White Health to require all employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19

DALLAS, Texas (KBTX) - Baylor Scott & White Health has notified all of its employees, vendors and contractors they must be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 1 because of an increase in infections, fueled in part by the more virulent delta variant of the virus.

“The Delta variant is the most contagious and dangerous strain we have seen to date, leading to exponentially increasing rates of severe illness and hospitalization. The overwhelming majority of these cases are among the unvaccinated,” said a statement from Baylor Scott & White.

The mandate applies to employees, providers on the medical staff, both employed and affiliated, volunteers, vendors, students, and contract staff.

“With rapidly rising COVID-19 case counts due to the highly contagious Delta variant and the start of the flu season fast approaching, we believe now is the right time to take the next step in achieving a fully vaccinated workforce,” the statement said.

So far, less than half of Brazos County’s eligible population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. More than 52 percent of residents 12 and older statewide are fully vaccinated.

Baylor Scott & White is not the first hospital system in Texas to require its employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19. A federal judge threw out a lawsuit against Houston Methodist in June after the hospital system required employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The judge said if employees do not agree with the vaccine policy “they could go work elsewhere.”

On Monday, the Department of Veterans Affairs became the first major federal agency to require its healthcare workers to get COVID-19 vaccines. This includes physicians, dentists, podiatrists, optometrists, registered nurses, physician assistants and others who provide direct care or work in departmental facilities.

There are a LOT of employees/contractors, volunteers, etc. that will have to make the decision to take the jab or quit:

Organization

Following the death of Dr. White, the partnership was changed to Dr. Scott, Sr., his brother-in-law, Dr. Marcel W. Sherwood, and Dr. George V. Brindley, Sr. in 1917. Dr. Scott's son, Dr. Arthur C. Scott, Jr., took over the presidency when his father died of a heart attack on October 27, 1940. On December 23, 1949, for-profit Scott & White Clinic was separated from non-profit Scott & White Memorial Hospital. On August 15, 1950, the name was changed to Scott & White Memorial Hospital and Scott, Sherwood and Brindley Foundation. On November 6, 2016, Baylor Scott & White announced that Scott & White Memorial Hospital would be renamed Scott & White Medical Center as part of the organization's overall rebranding due to the merger of Baylor Health and Scott & White.[7]

Scott & White Medical Center: Baylor Scott & White – Temple's main campus is located at 2401 S. 31st Street in Temple. The main campus includes Baylor Scott & White – Temple, Baylor Scott & White Clinic, Center for Diagnostic Medicine, Baylor Scott & White Pavilion (outpatient surgery center, Eye Institute and Pain Clinic), Pediatric Ambulatory Clinic, Mental Health Clinic, Scott & White Health Plan, Medical Research Building, Medical Education Building and supporting labs and facilities.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Brenham: On July 1, 2010, a partnership with Trinity Health Services Corp was finalized making this the newest system hospital.

Temple West Campus: Along with the Scott & White Continuing Care Hospital (a 50-bed, long-term acute care hospital), the West Campus is home to the Scott & White Cancer Research Institute, the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine Institute for Regenerative Medicine at Scott & White, and the Texas Bioscience Institute.

Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center: On April 1, 2009, King's Daughters Hospital became a part of Scott & White Healthcare. Construction began on Sept 1, 2010 and the children's hospital opened in the fall of 2011.

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Round Rock: A 76-bed hospital with a companion specialty clinic, serving the Williamson County region.

  • Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Taylor, Taylor, TX
  • Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lakeway, Lakeway, TX

That's their administrative offices, yep.

It is very important for everyone to remember who are faced with termination for not getting the jab............ Make sure you are terminated!
If you quit, resign, or retire; you will have no recourse in the future to recoup losses incurred by an illegal mandate. You will not be able to participate in a class action lawsuit. You will not be able to sue for unjust termination. You will not be able to potentially sue for back wages and reinstatement. Because you initiated the separation between you and your employer. You could argue that faced with the prospect of termination, that you felt forced to act as you did.
But that will be a loser in court. It may not always be as hopeless as it is now. And if that day comes; you want to be in a position to capitalize on the injustice done to you.

May not be able to sign up for unemployment, either

Many people will rationalize their way into taking the jab experimental population cleansing drug.
I had a cousin that swore she would not take it, she's supposedly a diehard Rush Limbaugh grade conservative. The last conversation she proudly said, with a big smile on her face, she took two of them and have no side effects whatsoever.

I suspect a combination of forced inoculations and, like you said, rationalizing will get the vaxed figure to around 90% or so in a few months. The question is, what will happen to the remaining 10%?

We inherit the earth.
One of my favorite doomer shows is The Omega Man staring Charlton Heston. Those that "inherit the earth" could fall into such a scenario.

Imagine being one of the few left, fighting for basic human needs such as food. On the other hand, you could go to a new car dealership and pick out anything you wanted for the day.

But seriously, I do not think it will come to that.

On the mask mandate thread, Jubilee on Earth posted a video by Patriot Nurse that addresses this very issue facing nurses and others involved with providers in health care who insist their employees and contractors get the jab. She is very passionate. Basically she says, 'Follow your conscience, maintain your integrity.'

You can see it here: BRKG - CDC to reintroduce mask mandate 7/27

The 90% sounds about right. Work is going to be a cluster, very soon. Half vaccinated, the other half not. Wearing badges to show who is “clean” and who is “dirty”. People are afraid to speak up at work. As someone said in another thread, I can already see who will cave.
Damn covid. It has affected so many areas of life e.g., jobs, families, relationships, future plans, health etc. Many don’t know if they will have a job, due to refusing the covid shot. Some say we don’t deserve to work if we are willing to put people at risk. We attack each other, at home and online. All while the puppet masters are laughing.

Baylor, Scott and White will require all employees and ((contractors )) to be vaccinated by Oct 1,2021
I was there yesterday and heard it from a scheduler. They are not happy, and many say they will leave. The MD I saw wanted me to get it and was super proud that she was from Vanderbilt U that developed the vaccine for Corona viruses. Bully. And NO thank you.

I am finding it amazing that the propaganda is working, even here.

Personal medical decisions used to be just that... personal. No one would think twice if a relative or acquaintance would disclose that they took this vaccine or that vaccine, this med or that med, but people who decide to take this 'vaccine' or 'not take this vaccine' is being segregated into camps and associated along ideological and political lines even here... in this place at TB2K... in lock step with the socialist out there in the meat world.

It's fascinating to watch considering we pride ourselves here as being different from those liberal socialists when in fact, in many cases, 'we' are not. We're just as judgmental and as far away from liberty minded as those on the other side at times.

Liberty is the choice to do what is best for me and mine as long as it does not interfere with anyone else. Liberty is not a compromise and should not be chastised or belittled but often it is, and that is how we ended up here in this 'hell hole of a world' in the first place.

Full Disclosure: Had Covid in December and survived; Had the Moderna shot in January and second one in February but still vehemently oppose segregation along vaccination lines and forced vaccination. It was a PERSONAL choice for me and really none of the publics or governments business whether I received the 'jab' or not, and when asked in public, if I say anything at all, I say I have natural immunity.

I'm hearing that Ascension Health Systems might be added to that list. One of the reasons I chose to leave when I did earlier this year. Principle and disagreement with forced inoculation was the main factor (as I had already gotten the jab).
