A late-night drive that began with a promise of a surprise turned into one of the most disturbing triple murder cases to emerge from the Chicago suburbs. The case centres on 30-year-old Jenna Strouble, who is accused of killing the father of her children, Jacob Lambert, and his parents.

According to prosecutors, Strouble lured Lambert out late at night, asking if he wanted to go for a drive on March 22. The pair eventually stopped at a secluded location, where she told him she had a "surprise".

She brought a massage gun with her because Lambert told that his back hurt. Lambert was asked to recline his seat, remove his shirt and lie on his stomach. She then allegedly climbed on his back in a straddling position and massaged him for approximately 20 minutes. During this time, she retrieved a Glock handgun fitted with a suppressor, which was hidden under the seat. Prosecutors claim she held the weapon to the back of Lambert's head for several minutes while continuing the massage, before ultimately pulling the trigger.

According to local media, court documents showed that after her arrest, Strouble told Will County sheriff's deputies that she and Lambert were co-parenting and maintaining "an occasional intimate relationship."

SECOND ATTACK AT HOME

After the shooting, Strouble reportedly smoked a cigarette after killing Lambert. She then drove to Lambert's parents' house. Prosecutors allege she attempted to enter using his keys before his stepfather, Patrick Forde, opened the door.

"As soon as he did, she began shooting," according to court filings. She fired 17 shots at the entrance. Moments later, Lambert's mother, Stacy Forde, came downstairs after hearing the commotion and was also fatally shot.

Authorities say the attack unfolded rapidly once inside the home, leaving both victims with no chance to escape.

SISTER'S CALL ALERTS POLICE

The case came to light after a 911 call from Strouble's sister, who told police she had confessed to shooting three people. She reportedly said the two did not communicate well and admitted resentment over how he treated their children. Officers later located Strouble in Indiana, where she was arrested. A firearm believed to have been used in the killings was recovered during the investigation.

Prosecutors say Strouble later admitted she had planned the attack, even saying the drive was arranged so she could harm Lambert. She is now facing nine counts of first-degree murder and remains in custody as legal proceedings continue.

Prosecutors said Strouble offered only limited explanations, including dissatisfaction with Lambert's behaviour and describing his parents as "overbearing."

I'm curious about the suppressor. Who's was it? Was it a legal purchase? Was it a real / manufactured suppressor or something cobbled together?

It's not often that you hear about suppressors being used in a crime because of all the hoops you have to jump through.

Make you wonder, did she display any signs of insanity before this?

Medical Hx of mental or emotional problems? Previous involuntary hospitalizations, etc?

Because that’s dirty pool! What guy wouldn’t agree to go on a late night drive with his wife when she packs a massage gun, says she has a surprise for him, then says, “take off your shirt and lay down!”

Black widows. My second wife turned out to be a sycophant. I had to move out with out, a million in assets and losses.

Dare not go back and get stuff without a cop. Knock on door and her methamphetamine dealer answers, and says not today. POS cop says we have to try another day to get your shit.

If I would of taking her to court, it would of been months for court date and $$$$

By then all my stuff been sold or traded for meth.

True stuff.

St. John woman charged in Crete Township triple homicide denied pretrial release

The 30-year-old St. John woman charged with murder of three people in Crete Township last month, will remain in custody as her case proceeds, a Will County judge ruled Monday.

Jenna Strouble is charged with the triple homicide of Jacob Lambert, 32, his mother Stacy Forde, 54, and his stepfather Patrick Forde, 55. Strouble and Lambert had an intermittent relationship and had two children together.

Strouble shot Lambert in the back of the head while giving him a massage in a car, before driving to the home where he lived with his parents and shooting them as well, according to prosecutors.

Strouble’s attorney, David Drwencke, said the case is still in its early days.

“We’re one official date into this,” Drwencke said. “It’s early. Allegations are often very easy.”

Drwencke said early claims made by prosecutors aren’t always borne out by the evidence, which he said the defense hasn’t yet had the chance to examine.

For example, he said, he wants to know exactly what Strouble said to police and under what circumstances those statements were made.

“The reality is that the defense has seen none of it,” Drwencke said. “We’re going to start to see discovery, we’re going to start to see what they have.”

Drwencke said court proceedings are a slow and thorough process, including in cases that might seem straightforward.

“We’re doing our investigation and we’re going to work through the process,” Drwencke said. “If this story or any one caught your eye, it can be a learning experience about how the system really works.”

Strouble’s next court date is set for Friday at the Will County courthouse in Joliet.

I just do not get it. There were so many alternatives besides murder. She gave no logical thought to her children. She needs to be put away forever and ever. Did she know what penalties she would face or what she was doing to her children? She had to know she would be locked up for the rest of her life. Just Why??

In some people a switch just trips. Logic is not involved, just emotion. We as a world will start seeing more actions like this and the world declines. Always trust your gut.

Not a problem due to being married 48 years to one magnificent woman.

There's still time to escape, Texican. She may be waiting for the big Five-0, then POW! Check her CC receipts; has she bought a Glock or ammunition lately? Food? A coffee? Has she been breathing any air? A "yes" to any of those questions means that you're in mortal danger!

My advice would be to buy your own Glock and try to sleep with one eye opened as you get closer to the event. Oh, don't get one of those puny G17s or G19s in 9mm. Get a G21 in .45acp or a G20 in 10mm.

You never know if she might have accomplices.

Sleep well, my friend.

Narcissist.

They are out there. They feel no empathy. They view others as objects to be exploited. Beware.

Run, Forrest, run!
From my observations, MANY women forties and younger are definitely narcissists. I've never seen so many man hating women in my life. Why they want a man in their lives when they seem to detest them so much, I don't know. This is not just throwing stuff out there. I'm talking about my own daughter, ex daughter-in-law, nieces, friends daughters. It truly breaks my heart because they weren't raised that way.

oh... and they are ALWAYS right. They get downright rabid if you dare disagree with them - in anything. They are perpetual victims.

How awful for the children! And this is about as cold-blooded as it gets!
This may sound off-the-wall but what are trhe odds she offed his parents to see to it no one on his immediate side of their relationship was involved in raising the kids?

I hope not but that was my 1st thought when I saw the part about his parents being phase 2 of her program.

Definitely a warped lady but I wonder how she got there.
