Hang Trump for treason -- after due conviction, of course!

I've stopped voting for Republicans and from now on will only vote for Libertarians!
After due conviction?

Would that be riding him on the back of a truck down 14th st to a gallows at Ft. McNair?

Or just lynching him in the West Wing? Just run a rope out the window and string him up? If you can break the windows, that is.

MAybe tossing him off the top of lady liberty at the Capitol? (That's the tallest structure in DC-12 stories.)

With TDS, there's usually a sliver of intellect that peeks through. Miracles do happen, you know.

Personally, I find the whole "But what if it were Kamala" rather tiring. Getting everyone caught up in the "either/or" game is something political parties have been gaming since the 19th century. Well, "You have to vote for candidate A because B would be so terrible," followed by "You have to support everything Candidate A has now done because would you rather have had that horrible Candidate B?"

That's called a False Dichotomy, but it has worked for at least 150 years in the United States to keep people trapped in what is effectively a Uni-Party system that serves certain elite groups and special interests.

I do agree that Kamala was an especially bad choice by the Democrats, and I suspect there is some truth to the idea that she was partly Biden's Revenge. Using the last of what was once a working politician's brain, he realized he was going down, but he was going to make sure those taking him down fell with him. He made it all but impossible for the Obamas or anyone else to hold an emergency primary to get rid of her.

I think a decision was made to pretty much abandon Kamala to her fate and plan to be "rid" of their "Trump Problem" before November. When that didn't work, they had to resort to other tactics, too long to get into here.

But simply deciding that criticizing Trump is somehow supporting Kamala (or even the Democrats) is, again, part of the "You must choose chocolate or vanilla!" The problem is that they are both Ice Cream and pretty much from the same factory. Even if Trump was a bit of a Wild Flavor originally from a smaller start-up company that was later bought out by one of the two major brands.

Whether Trump is destroying the economy and our wealth is not really up for debate. This whole Iran war is costing us, and the world, exorbitant amounts of money and energy. It was bad enough when he kept feeding money to the criminal Zelensky, which kept the caissons and the body bags rolling along.

Then the Venezuela gambit which was supposed to make us all rich and have cheap oil. Look into the oil company that got the business.

And now Iran... but this one will cost MUCH more than Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan. If he is really planning a ground attack and the taking of some islands, he had better watch his back... or should I say the navy had better watch their back, because many other powers are about to be drawn into this mess.

Why Iran can outlast America in this war
Matt Bracken
Apr 19, 2026

This map provides yet more evidence there was no long-game strategy behind Trump's decision to launch the catastrophic 28 Feb sneak attack on Iran. The entire world may crash into a great depression, and even famine, but island nations will suffer the most. And island nations are many of our most important allies.
Image

The INSTC cuts shipping time from Russia to India in normal times, and during the shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz, it still connects Iran to all of Asia.

The North-South route also means Russia is less dependent on sending ships through the Baltic, North Sea, North Atlantic and Mediterranean, which are NATO areas of operation. The Caspian Sea is not.
Image

Even at low water levels, the Caspian permits ships to transit directly from Russia to Iran. Transport aircraft can also fly directly from Russia to Iran without crossing hostile air space.
Image

If the war drags on and the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, no doubt Iran will suffer. But Iran is the 5th richest country in the world based on its own natural resources, and it’s connected by the Caspian Sea and railroads to both Russia and China.

On the other hand, America’s allies, the UK, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand are island nations, and the closure of the SoH is an absolute catastrophe for them. South Korea is a “virtual island” because it’s only connected to North Korea.
Image

Under the British and later the American empires, the “Great Game” meant using shifting diplomacy, naval power, and temporary alliances to prevent Russia from ever becoming the dominant Eurasian power.

For example, the British fought against Russia in the Crimean War, and were later allied with Russia in WW1, when Germany was threatening to become a superstate that might control European Russia.

Since the end of WW2, an American diplomatic imperative was to prevent an alliance between Russia and China. With our support of Ukraine, and now our war against Iran, we have driven them together, and Iran will benefit from its land connections to them, while America’s island-nation allies will suffer enormously.
Image

In the emerging Great Energy World War, America will cast aside old alliances and throw its friends under the bus to gain an advantage. Have no doubt of this.

For example, inexpensive Russian LNG going to Europe via Germany posed the threat of creating a potent European-Russian economic bloc, so the USA sabotaged the Nord Stream Pipeline in 2022. (Yes, we did it.) YouTube video link.

Our island-nation allies must understand how ruthless America under Trump can and will be to serve its own advantage. Witness the recent gloating about empty tankers from around the world rushing to “The Gulf of America” to load up with Texas and Louisiana petroleum and LNG.

But this puts America in the position of a mafia boss who controls a small town, and whose son owns one of the only two gas stations. The mafia boss sent an arsonist to blow up the other gas station, and now he controls the only one in town. This might provide the mafia boss a temporary advantage, but his customers will hate him, and they will work hard behind his back to find other sources of gasoline and diesel, and to curtail his power, in order to prevent future misdeeds.

To return from the analogy, by Trump’s mafia-like actions, we are driving the world into the arms of the Chinese and Russians. This will mean the demise of the petrodollar, the end of the USD as the world reserve currency, and all the terrible consequences that will follow like night follows day.
America’s island-nation allies will be suffering economic and social pain far beyond anything experienced in the USA. Just off stage, they are putting enormous pressure on Trump to end his misbegotten undeclared war of choice. If Trump cares about these island nation allies remaining in America’s orbit, he will act accordingly. If he does not, they will act in their own interests, and make their own way in the world, realigning with Iran, Russia and China.
Bracken—Out.

I think Matt Brakens cheese done slipped off his cracker. JMHO! We have been subsidzing the Island nations and others since WW2. Via us being the worlds policeman. If those so called allies want to run to Iran, China, Russia, so be it. We need to be concerned about us. If they want to bow down to China/Iran for oil. Good luck to them. It is very obvious that when we could have used their backing they bolted. And he ( Braken ) is assuming Iran never had or will have a nuke. Heck of an assumption!

Braken may be correct about them running, but they did it to themselves via not providing for their own energy.
Just look at the love fest the EU has with green energy and moeslims. How is that working out for them.

Again JMHO as I see it.

What part of "He's trying to wreck the global economy and get us all killed" don't you understand!?

And I voted for Trump because he's not Kamala Harris, whom I would never support in a million years.

It's sad that TPTB left us with 2 such poor options for leadership.

Trump's tariffs have destroyed businesses here at home only to be ruled illegal by the courts.

He's like a multi-vehicle pile up! Destruction everywhere. I'm kicking myself for ever supporting him!

Some are arguing he has dementia or tertiary syphilis affecting the brain. Wouldn't surprise me.

I guess you’ve stopped smelling the roses … ok then

This is a genuine war crime

Related: In March 2026, Iranian authorities—specifically the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)—announced and began implementing a recruitment campaign that allows children as young as 12 to volunteer for military-related roles.

This means working with the Basij paramilitary force in manning checkpoints, going on patrols, and security duties in areas like Tehran that are active war zones.

Update: The Israeli army reinstalls the statue of Mr. Christ in its place after a soldier smashed it, forces the same soldier to do so, then issues a decision to imprison him along with another soldier who took the photos.

When you catch a thief stealing is it ever the first time they stole?

No. It’s the first time you caught them.

Israelis desecrate Jesus Christ all the time. This isn’t new. They just got caught here.

None of your concerns are connected to reality, seriously, who are you listening to?

The dementia accusation makes me think you are listening to MSNOW, or pro-iranian news.

Given all the publicity and outrage that accompanied the photo's publication, it seems unlikely that desecrations happen "all the tim'e and the soldier "just got caught here." I suspect groups that oppose the US-Israeli military operation against Iran are using the incident for propaganda purposes.

Can you provide any solid evidence to support your claims about frequent desecrations? Are you implying the Israeli government has covered up information on this?

An Israeli soldier snatches a puppy from its mother, while other soldiers throw stones at the dog who desperately tries to retrieve her pup.
This video is fake. It's being used to drive anti-Israel sentiment during the current US-Israeli military operation. It's been picked up by many anti-Israel, anti-US accounts.

This exact clip
(soldier picking up/handling a small puppy while others throw small objects at the barking mother dog to drive her back) first surfaced and went viral in April 2024. Multiple sources, including Instagram posts, X reposts, and Threads, explicitly date it to that period and locate it in Gaza (not Lebanon).
  • Location and identity: The soldiers' gear is consistent with IDF operations, but there's no on-screen insignia, faces, unit markers, or geolocation data (e.g., landmarks, signs) definitively proving it's IDF in this specific clip. No mainstream Israeli, Lebanese, or international outlets have reported or investigated this exact incident with confirmation/denial.
  • It has been shared with captions claiming "Israeli soldiers in Gaza" separating a puppy from its mother, with laughter audible in the background as the mother is repelled
  • The current wave (April 2026) misattributes it to southern Lebanon operations against Hezbollah. The original post and many reposts use "#Liban" or "in Lebanon," but this is a recycled video with an updated caption for the ongoing conflict.
In wartime, propagandists often recirculate, edit or mislabel videos. Animal mistreatment clips are especially potent for emotional virality.

Findings and Conclusions of the Inquiry into the Conduct of an IDF Soldier Who Damaged a Christian Symbol in Southern Lebanon

The inquiry found that during IDF activity in the area of the Christian village of Debel in southern Lebanon, an IDF soldier damaged a Christian religious symbol while another soldier photographed the act. Six additional soldiers were present at the scene and did not act to stop the incident or report it.
The inquiry determined that the soldiers’ conduct completely deviated from IDF orders and values.

The IDF expresses deep regret over the incident and emphasizes that its operations in Lebanon are directed solely against the Hezbollah terrorist organization and other terrorist groups, and not against Lebanese civilians.

From the moment the report of the incident was received, the IDF has been working to assist the local community in replacing the statue.

Accordingly, it was decided that the soldier who damaged the Christian symbol and the soldier who photographed the act will be removed from combat duty and will receive 30 days of military detention. The remaining troops who stood by have been summoned for clarification discussions that will be held later on, after which further command-level measures will be determined.

Procedures regarding conduct with religious institutions and symbols were reinforced to the troops prior to their entry into the relevant areas, and will be reinforced again for all troops in the area following the incident.

The findings of the inquiry were presented to the Chief of the General Staff and the Commander of the Northern Command.

The Chief of the General Staff condemned the incident and stated that it constitutes unacceptable conduct and a moral failure, far exceeding any acceptable standard and contradicting IDF values and the expected conduct of its troops.

I hate to say this, but Day Late has pretty much confirmed what my German housemate said last week: "Well, Trump has accomplished regime change in Iran, now the Mullahs are out of power, and the Revolutionary Guard is in charge."

In reality, I don't think it is quite that simple, and she doesn't either. It sounds more like what is left of the official, secular government (such as it was) was planning on going to the negotiations, and they are being prevented from leaving the country (we dont' yet know if they are under arrest or what exactly), and the Revolutionary Guard is in the process of taking over as a military junta.

One likely to be enforced with even more mass executions and other tactics that instill fear and distrust in a population in an attempt to stay in control.

This could rapidly get very ugly and probably will.

Trump says he'll give some kind of financial bailout to the UAE, because he found it "shocking" they were hit so hard; he thought Iran would only try to strike Israel. (So in other words, there was instant escalation beyond what he anticipated, and now the US will foot the bill)
We desperately need to quit bailing out other countries. We have knockout drag-out fights over our own internal spending because there is no money, but there's always money to bailout some foreign country.

This is a good move—it buys us time. It’s essential that we use it wisely.

Acknowledge that under current conditions, there are no military solutions and a true settlement is unlikely.

Follow the Reagan-in-’84 model: pull our forces out of the region, let our Gulf allies negotiate to reopen the SOH, and refocus on the issues at home and winning the next election, like Reagan did.

This is the opposite of what Israel wants us to do. To prevent Israel from pulling us deeper into this war, we must impose real restraint by limiting military aid to Israel.

The escalation game is a losing hand. Dump it and walk away.

Can anyone very carefully explain to me why American Christians owe anything to this?

Pride rises at the lowest place on earth This June the Dead Sea becomes Pride Land, the biggest LGBTQ+ festival ever in the Middle East. Four days of nonstop celebration community and connection.

Israel celebrates its LGBTQ+ community bigger than ever
I dare them to hold the next celebration on the ruins of Sodom. Double Dog Dare them.

Question! Has anyone seen reports from journalists (MSM flavor) embedded with troops or in the Gulf anywhere? It's been a "thing" since VN, and was rampant in the gulf wars. But I'm not seeing any posts with the usual talking heads dodging incoming fire, like before.

Journalists? Heck, I'm in irregular contact with a military member that can't/won't say where they are on any given day.

I know they started out in Qatar before latest skirmishes.

I think the military has evolved from their days of letting Geraldo ride around for a feel good photo op...

Yeah Luddite, that's kinda what I was wondering. Especially in light of the Pentagon restricting press' free movement in their building.
