Thanks Jia Ireland for capturing this, as well as the commentary that only in America will we find our own military practicing to take over the citizens who have paid for all their expensive equipment.

I certainly hope someone does a Freedom of Information Act request for the city govt. documentation surrounding their granting approval for this exercise in their city. City officials need to be reminded that they represent the citizens of that city, not the US military.

So thankful we have this forum to get out the news that the MSM is not reporting on. The American Citizens are going to be shocked when this hits their cities and towns. It might be a good idea to copy the video, just in case it gets scrubbed from the internet.

Looks like a dry run for night ops. Flint as tactical operations H.Q. for Detroit, basically commandeering the city for fallback staging, barracks, feeding for a potential siege.

Now watch this " fireworks shootout" in Chicago. Can someone with more street savvy verify, is this S. Western Ave? Is that a post office parking lot, mail delivery trucks to the rear inside the chainlinked fencing? This looks like a running street warfare gangbanger style training drill. This was filmed June 2nd. Based on discussions with friends in military (Army and ex-army) the military has been doing these kinds of exercises for years in Michigan - the extensive "ruined" parts of Detroit, Flint, et al are perfect places for urban combat training - and, face it, that's where they need to be trained for whether in Iraq, Afghanistan, Europe or elsewhere. Just because they are training here, does not mean they are training to attack American citizens. Doesn't mean they would never be sent to do that, but there are actually legitimate reasons for this kind of training.
Take a deep breath, all. Still keep a sharp eye out on the countries leaders, though.

Agreed, I don't think its attack based urban warfare training, it looks more like kettling/containment exercises in night time conditions, which is absolutely necessary. First things that go down are streetlights getting shot out, whether grid goes down or stays up, certain areas will go " blackout ".

The gated community is a total fallacy also as twitter invites sent out to outsiders to crash the Texas pool party at a swipe card controlled private pool doorway proved successful, 70-100 kids swarmed their suburban neighborhood. Now add 4th July legal fireworks or other party favors.

Yep.

And the government of Flint was taken over by the military, martial law was declared, dissident elements of the local population were rounded up, deported or killed out of hand, and now the whole city is an armed camp.

Right?

Sheesh. When such happens, someone with a smart phone may well be the only source of reports coming out ... but it will sure sound different than that.

I guess you will have to be taken prisoner or suck a bullet to find out if it is real. Friends I want to tell you that even a rabbit knows when he is hunted. This is the beginning stages for a very long campaign. The American People have to be disarmed before any world agenda can go forth. No pics of the goodie, kind of sounds like a 50. Low fire rate and all. But, without pics very hard to tell. As for the reason, maybe they are in a gunfight with someone. Who knows.
Great vid. Getting closer to one of my redline worries, a crew served weapon gunfight, in an American city.

Just shattering stuff. Detroit will inevitably go haywire and it will be a corral and free fire zone, till its subdued. Toledo will scream for help too...

Flint feels different somehow from the JH15 walmart takeovers though. Those definitely have search n seizure abuse potential.

The chaos factor in cities means they will go defacto armed camps, how can they not? Am very heavy hearted with the live fire exercises too. We all sense the gravity. The first summary execution event will set off a veritable firestorm of outrage.

What choice do Governors have other than activate their guards and encircle the hotzones? Its hellish to contemplate.

They specifically asked about MILITARY police training not "police training". It was actually a stupid question in context of what they were there to do. Which was get qualified and licensed for the various vehicles in an off-road situation.

Is it expected that all soldiers, seaman, airman, etc. know about all other drills and training operations done by all other segments and units of the military?

I bet if you asked 100 random people on the street, not 2 of them would have even heard of Jade Helm...at least that comes close to my experience so far.

JADE HELM is a SPECIAL OPERATIONS exercise. Not a "Big Army" exercise.

We do not have a unified military in this country. It is not one big happy organization. There are different services (Army, Navy, Air Force, USMC, Coast Guard) and different divisions within the individual services. And believe it or not, the right hand in the big honking military often has no idea what the left hand is doing. It shouldn't be a surprise.

Know what you're looking at, if you are going to claim to be A REPORTER - and know who has what equipment.

The Military Forces that's doing this Jade Helm 15 Exercise are Special Ops, the commander that was in Texas, at that Town Hall Meeting, said so. What do you thing Special Ops do? Go look it up!

I pretty well know what USASFC and USASOC does, I was on Ft. Bragg when they were stood up. I was there when Goldwater/Nichols was passed and Special Forces went from redheaded stepchildren of the Big Army to the Hollywood place to be (which did not do the overall quality of the individual SF soldier any big favors). Making SF sexy and spending a bunch of money on it by adding echelons above reality made things worse overall but did make SOF more palatable to Big Army (NOT a good thing). That's what got us US Special Operations Command and just more bureaucracy and more officer billets all the way up to our very own Assistant Secretary Of Defense. We already had JSOC to do the joint stuff, but OHHHH NOOOOES we needed MORE slots for ossifers and more office space and staff and blahblahblah.

Be glad you don't get all the special operations you pay for...

The operative QUESTION is WHAT are they truly training FOR?

Military exercises to be conducted in southeastern Michigan

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- The U.S. military says it's conducting several days of military exercises in southeastern Michigan, including night flights from Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

The Michigan Air National Guard says people living near Selfridge "may notice increased helicopter traffic and night flying operations" from Wednesday through June 11.

Spokeswoman Penny Carroll says that night flyover training will take place early in the morning and says many military units are involved in the exercise.

Selfridge is in Macomb County's Harrison Township, near Mount Clemens.

Flint city spokesman Jason Lorenz says the Army began conducting training exercises Monday in the Flint area and in other parts of southeastern Michigan. Lorenz says helicopters are taking part in the exercises, which may be audible to residents. Lorenz says the exercises run through June 12.
