Hi, all just got message from Rep Lavender, he has asked Gov Perry to add open carry to the special session. If you could please email call Gov Perry's office and you rep and senators in Tx to get this in the special session.

Let's see if we can get this done.

I'm undecided on open carry but I would not vote against it. My open carry is a rifle and legal.

On the other hand I think any law abiding Texas citizen should be able to carry hidden without a permit. That might give the police a reason to run everyones ID to see if they are a felon.

It should be simple, the 2nd amendment is everyones carry permit.

My only concern is the proliferation of 30-06 signs. Every time that ‘Suzie soccer mom’ gets her panties in a twist over seeing a gun she runs to the store management. Next thing you see is a sign posted.

And spare me the “take your shopping elsewhere” cliché. Less than 2% of the population in Texas has bothered to get a CHL and less than half of them bother to carry. This isn’t going to strike fear into the hearts of corporate leaders. They will post to placate a few whiners.
