A shocking incident occurred at Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station, where two teenage thugs were recorded attacking a woman who is reported to have Down Syndrome.
The victim was waiting at the busy train station when she was suddenly set upon by the two teenagers, according to Daily Mail.
Witnesses were appalled as one of the girls delivered a savage punch to the woman’s face.

This brutal blow was just the beginning of a series of attacks that unfolded in quick succession.

Another teenager joined the assault, rushing up to the woman and punching her from behind with such force that she was knocked to the ground. As the woman lay defenseless, one of the attackers showed no mercy, delivering a brutal kick to her head.

The brutality of the attack was further underscored by the words of one of the assailants, who was heard saying, “That was the aim, you got what you deserve b****.”
The brutal assault came to an end when an elderly man bravely stepped in.
The disturbing incident was captured on video and was proudly posted on social media.
The distressing video has since gone viral on social media platforms.

What is wrong with people and society these days? I literally cannot fathom the reason for this attack.
For other crimes, no matter how deplorable there is often a gain that can come to an aggressor (that most of us can understand while not accepting as valid)... but this one baffles me.

While the racial element is certainly present (yet another black-on-white attack), the aspect that really troubles me is the lack of empathy mentioned by Mercury3 three posts back.

The victim here has Downs Syndrome and clearly is unable to physically defend herself.

If we as a society do not protect our most vulnerable, what does that say about us? If we don’t hold those accountable who harm children, the elderly, and the handicapped?

Kudos to the very elderly man who put himself at risk in order to stop this attack.

Side note: If you’re ever attacked, try to stay on your feet. If you end up down on the ground, remember to use your arms to block and also to roll around. Try not to just lie there stationary. Those curb-stomp kicks can end your life.

Can't say I'm surprised, considering how many people have been dehumanizing people with Downs for a very long time.

I thought it was only US snickers who were crazy she-boons.
Global Pandemic I'm afraid but take hope! There is a proven fast acting treatment.

Quality treatment available for less than $0.10 per dose. Budget priced options abound.

It's genetic in all of them everywhere.
No I vehemently disagree with that. My neighbors caregivers are Haitian Americans and they help me whenever I need something I can't do. No one has ever treated me with more loving kindness than those 2.
There are bad elements in all races. I've had dealings with more than a few of my own race who would just as soon kill you as look at you.

the sin nature is present in all of us, hence the need for a Messiah!
however, proper behavioral up-bringing and nurturing is ALL important, and not to be surrendered to public authorities, or unqualified day care entities.

eta: bring back the death penalty for murder, rape, blackmail, treason. Public required to watch from 7 years old and up.

People would do well to remember that a Downs person is God's creation the same as anyone else. I certainly rather be friends with the Downs lady rather than the evil animals that attacked her. I do hope they are found and put behind bars for a good long time. The Downs people I've known including a family member are all were very loving people.
