BREAKING: Israel just hit the Ardakan Nuclear Facility in Yazd, Iran's only uranium extraction and yellowcake processing plant. No yellowcake, no enrichment. No enrichment, no nuclear program. Netanyahu said the war is past its halfway point on objectives. This looks like one of them getting checked off.

Iran is putting people on TV and calling them traitors for sending Israeli bombers their coordinates. Some sent them straight to Netanyahu's Instagram. Punishment ranges from losing everything to execution. x.com/MarioNawfal/st…

Pay attention to this: Iranian Broadcasting Authority: "As suggested by the Secretary of the Supreme Council for Youth and Young People in the country, tomorrow at 2 p.m. we will create human circles around the country's power plants to inform the world that attacking public infrastructure is a war crime." Record the event. According to this, it seems that the IAEA has accepted that the power plants will be attacked, since they will not meet the requirements of the agreement. And what is the tactic to prevent these attacks? To maintain "human circles" around the power plants, which will prevent these attacks due to harming civilians.

The Iranian government, through the Ministry of Sports and Youth, says it is calling on the "Iranian youth," including "athletes, artists, students," to gather at 2 PM tomorrow around the country's power plants.

The 1979 hostages taken at the embassy and Beirut bombing are valid points. Iran did that, and killed Americans and our troops. Those events also happened 43 plus years ago, two generations ago. We have to be careful when using that many years back to justify attacking Iran or any other country. Most of the people with any power then are old now and out of power. A good portion are probably dead. But hey lets go and start a war with the younger people of Iran that weren't even born then. That will show them and make them love us. I wonder how may future enemies of America we have created with this military operation.

As for the proxy wars that Iran has been fighting against us during GWOT, while it is bad, it has become a standard practice of fighting. County A won't fight country B directly, but country A will give country C weapons to fight country B. That has been going on for years. The United States done for at least since WW2. It has also been used against us, but we aren't going after those countries.

China and Russia did to us in the Korean conflict in the 50's. Russia gave our enemies weapons to fight us.
Russia did the same in during the Vietnam conflict in the 60s and 60s. They provided weapons, support, training, aircraft that slaughtered out troops by the 1000s
Yes, Iran did the same to during GWOT with IEDs and such.

On the other hand our government loves funding a good proxy war. We provided stinger missiles, and other weapons to the Afghan rebels to help them fight the Russians in the 80's. The most current example that I can remember is all the weapons, pilot training, money we have provided to Ukraine to help them fight the Russian invasion. Those are just the examples I can remember. Who really knows what the CIA has done since WW2 that is still secret

Proxy wars are a thing. I hate them and think they are wrong. Before we go bombing other countries because we feel justified, we need to stop and ask have we been doing the same thing. Should we go after Russia and China for providing training and weapons to our enemies that we were fighting. Would Russia be justified in attacking us for providing support to the Afghan Rebels and most recently Ukraine? I'm sure some of our weapons have killed and maimed Russian troops.

Attacking another country for an event that happened 43 years ago doesn't sit right with me. Why didn't we do anything when it happened. Do it then and to the people that attacked us. Don't wait two generations and use our young people to attack their grandkids that weren't even born yet.
Because you would still bitch about it.

BREAKING: As a result of Israeli airstrikes at Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran, tens of passenger aircraft are on fire as they are being bombed. While they are freely bombing passenger aircraft in Iran, their own aircraft have been sheltered by Greece, Cyprus, and many other European countries.

I think whatever happens none of us can predict yet. I am thinking Art of War, Trump is sounding blood thirsty and everyone is thinking something 'big, visual, and traditional' it seems, and as others have mentioned, Iran is probably prepared for anything with the worst possible civilian optics cued up.

I don't know enough about what 'toys' the military has, what out of the box ideas the junior genius gamer crowd can come up with, etc. But I do know that Trump isn't dumb, and since the brilliant 'pager' move I expect the unexpected :geek:

The end game is the goal, the means is unknown yet :geek:

But no one is running for a bomb shelter, life is going on in Trumps world, so I am thinking it won't be an obvious move to anyone but will be extremely effective. :popcorn1: (Maybe it is bombing, but I still think that is not the main event)

A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!

I still cannot understand where Iran is getting all these missiles and drones they are using to continue these attacks so far in the war. I would have thought that all Iranian missile and drone production and storage facilities would have been located before the initial attacks and destroyed by now. New Drone manufacturing can be successfully outsourced to small Mom and Pop facilities as the Russians and Ukrainians have demostrateded in their war. On the other hand, ballistic missile production and warhead production is fairly complex and needs substantial machine tools, metalworking equipment and electronic assembly/testing equipment. Even if we haven't located every storage facility, I would think that any initial missile inventory would be expended by now.

One other note is Iranian's use of cluster munitions on their ballistic missiles instead of a single warhead. Although their current multiple warheads are currently of minimum destructive power, I expect this will vastly improve in capability over time. Because the warheads separate very early in their ballistic arc, anti-missile missiles like the US Patriot, THAAD, SM-3 and Israel's David's Sling and Arrow have a very difficult time to intercept before the cluster separates into multiple targets. This is already being seen in Israel and I predict this will become a major concern in the future as Russian, China and others adopt this type of warhead as currently there is no current defense against this many incoming targets. I expect the US or Israel to bring in high powered laser to try and counter this type of attack but laser defenses have not currently matured for field use. This would be of major concern in the Pacific if a war occurs when aircraft are parked closelu on Pacific Island airports like Guan, Tinian, etc. Our limited missile defenses on the islands would be overwhelmed by a 50 missile attack that suddenly turns into 250 incoming warheads.

Some have pooh pooh this type of warhead as just a nuisance but when you are targeting parked aircraft, chemical/ oil storage, refiners, radars, data centers, or other soft targets, it doesn't take much destructive power to either destroy, damage or stop operations for a long time. Frankly, I'm amazed at how much destruction has occurred from the Iranian attacks as they seem to be coping Ukranian's policy of destroying your opponents infrastructure. Hopefully, the Iranians run out of ballastic missiles, the Gulf nations substantially improve their drone defenses or we finally target ALL their misssile done production facilities or this is going to be a long, long destructive war and really bad news for Trump and the Republician party.
