Yeah, haven't we been paying for all the COVID stimulus in the form of inflation over the past few years?

No thanks. I'd rather have gas @ $2.50 and turning the tide back to remote work being acceptable and available to those who can handle it and thrive in it versus the return-to-office circle-jerk that Elon and DOGE made mainstream. THAT would save me more the $5000 on an annual basis.

It seems there are definitely still some real conservatives out there.

What I see is even funnier... he talked for over 1-1/2 hours in that speech.... but this $5K check deal, was the only hot button issue to come out of that speech. Nothing else was blown out of proportion... out of him talking for a hour and a half... Pretty surprising...

Then there was this that came out afterwards... LOL...

Unless Trump is planning to pay this from his own bank account, he cannot legally take tax money (actually more debt on all taxpayers) and give it to his favorite groups... oops, he is already doing that for Israel.

Trump needs to make a new edition of The Art of the Deal.... to include this paragraph which he can copy and use:

You can make deals when you have nothing, its just harder. You just lie like hell and sell somebody something they want and give them a lemon instead of the real item. You take that profit and do it again, only bigger. Always be a winner and stick the other guy with the losses. You move up the ladder and boldly push a deal when you see something you want. The only Americans who deserve money back, are Americans who actually pay money every quarter to the United States Treasury.

We are the back bones and deserve a break. Either a refund or granted credit for a year. Wouldn't that be nice. A whole year with no penalty for being a American independent individual. And a unpaid tax collector.

Not stupid for the most part. Just too proud to admit they were lead astray on one hand and clinging to some sort of ‘grand plan’ that will right the ship on the other. Promising them what they want to hear and throw them a few dog bones now and then. The politicians on the left figured that out a long time ago, the ones on the right realizes that it works for them too.

And it is inflationary. Do it and watch the price of consumer goods go up. The $90.00 to Medicare recipients isn't enough to make a dent, but $5000? Everybody goes out and buys a new fridge, stove, furniture for the living room, clothes, a 4-wheeler, new I-phone, side of beef, a crazy Christmas for the kiddies, or gets themselves a new car payment with that kind of money. Mostly zero thought for paying off the credit cards, putting it on the car loan you already have, or saving it, 'cuz what fun is that?
