Ok, I got curious and went to the link anyway. It was from winred.com, a branch of the GOP Republican Committee.

NOT SCAMMERS--I've been on their mailing / text list for years, ever since I first started donating to his re-election campaigns. You can look up their website at Raise More & Win with WinRed --it seems to be the main collection authority for donations to the Republican party or Republican candidates.

I wonder sometimes (given the tenor of some texts they send out) if Trump even KNOWS what the GOP is sending out supposedly in his name--and how BAD it makes him look. I wonder sometimes if this GOP committee isn't doing this ON PURPOSE to make him look bad.

Sometimes I get texts from them that are absolutely vicious in tone-- "We haven't heard from you in a while; have you joined the Democrats!?!"--things like that.

But I took screenshots of what they sent me, and have pasted them in below.

I find this despicable.

It gives the impression that what Trump--our PRESIDENT--decides to do is contingent on MY response, and further asks me for money BACK, and a $25 "donation" to "CONFIRM ACCEPTANCE" of these funds.

It's beginning to sound like Publishers' Clearing House sweepstakes---"you could win BIG! And you don't have to do anything--but you can INCREASE your chance of winning by filling out this form, and THIS form, and this OTHER form, and putting this special coupon inside this special envelope and returning it--oh and by the way don't you want to order some of our wonderful magazines?"

Who is this 'Everyone' you folks are speaking of? I, as an American Taxpayer, have never received or benefitted from any of those Stimulus checks and these other government checks that have been mailed out like greeting cards a few years ago. My coworkers all did, but not me. Why is that? Apparently I didn't meet the eligibility clause. So, forgive me if I sounds harsh or critical. Seems that you have to be earning a little less money to benefit from 'free' money, and therefore folks like me have been excluded.

Concerning this latest attempt to tease citizens into receiving another $5k of 'free' money, with strings attached, I'm not counting on it. I'm still waiting for my Doge check to come in.

However, it will be interesting to see if $5k will sway people more in the direction of voting for a certain political party than getting your CV-19 mRNA shot and only getting free French Fries with it. The news these last few days read more and more like circus acts. Now we get to see the clowns and watch their amazing performance.

How is this offer any different than Obama bucks, Biden bucks, welfare bucks, etc.

You vote for me and my platform and I will guarantee lower taxes, increased EBT, child tax credit whatever you name it.

I have no problem taking back a fraction of the money stolen from me by the government when it is freely offered. And yes I am fully aware that it is not truly free money. Someone else is paying for it, perhaps even my grandkids.
 
Watters: That $5,000 check. That's not a bribe. We're calling it an enticement. We don't know if the check will ever get there. What happens if the Republicans take the house and they balk and don't write the checks? It's not Trump's fault. He just blames congress. It's like a woman. Sometimes a woman can entice you, okay? It doesn't mean you're going home with her but it keeps you interested. It keeps you intrigued and wanting more. That's what this is about.

The socialist's,communist's and muzzies will win big and he won't have to do what he promised. I certainly hope I'm wrong. Unfortunately, because of political stupidity of a large portion of the country I don't think I am. The muzzies are a problem this country had better deal with. Sooner, not later.
 
The way Trump and the government are acting is strange. Maybe the comet Apophis is really going to hit us in 2029. They may be figuring that a 3 year party paid for on another 20 trillion dollars of dead promises could make us happy waiting for the end. Destroy what you want and let the purge begin, but don't touch the wine or the oil.
