ECON Trump: "Prices are down, income is up, our Border is closed, gasoline is CHEAP, inflation is DEAD"

Prices are down, income is up, our Border is closed, gasoline is CHEAP, inflation is DEAD — Our Country is BOOMING! Companies are pouring into America like never before!
And Democrats/Marxists are rubbing their hands together in glee realizing that when the worm turns THEY will be the beneficiaries of all that largess.

"We'll just be more *something* when the next election comes "And the people 'vote' us into office."

The Founders vision would be that the US would be controlled by a democratic majority - a continuing populist revolt.

But what if that revolt is somehow "managed." Or bought off. Or simply overlooked in "see how good we have it now."

Or worse - simply ignored.

Do you trust your compatriots to actually vote to maintain a Democracy?

The election of Trump did signal a "tick-up" in Voter Participation. But not a large up. And look how hard Trump worked to keep the rallies going with a rally if not every night, then every other night? The personal toll on him must have been overwhelming.

And who among you has the same drive, the singleness of purpose, or the dedication to equal that?

Sloth is a much easier task-master.

Ain't seen prices down .... my income is flat .... border is much better ... gas isn't cheap at all and has been bouncing around here .... ain't seen prices rise as much but they've still gone up a little when I've shopped.

I'll give him 1 out of 5
Funny in SE GA gas has been about the same, but with inflation, I would understand them claiming it is cheaper...... same price, but everything else inflated...... who knows

Why doesn’t his aides around him show and tell him that’s incorrect. Especially our meat and eggs here in SE Missouri. Inflation is very much alive at our super Walmart with most goods. Very little prices have chanced downward at all since he got in. Maybe a few pennies here and there. When he says this crap, he sounds like a fool.

The truth about DJT might hurt.

We might ask Ivana, Marla, Elon, or dozens of lesser-known business partners. We could even ask Melania.

Dobbin's comment above about a "managed revolt" is one worth pondering. Could DJT actually be a water boy for the NWO? None of us really want to look behind that door, do we? Let's just crack that door slightly...

Who gave us "Operation Warp Speed?"

Who now appears to be working toward "the Great Reset?"

Whose big, beautiful bill will increase the deficit by a staggering 2.4 trillion dollars?

Who just said "inflation is DEAD?"

Who loves to recite "The Snake" by Oscar Brown Jr?"

Nervous yet? Maybe we should be.

I can easily remember multiple historic episodes of 5+ bux/gallon as I filled the truck to the tune of over $150. Now, it's $2.57. I ain't bitchin'.

Egg prices have halved, which was predicted because bird flu is seasonal, and replacement-to-lay only takes chicken flocks about 4 months.

Pork and chicken prices aren't gonna drop much because feed is still high, and the cost of processing is only going to go up as this country flushes the illegal slave labor from it's shores. Hopefully it can be balanced by a drop in transport costs. The saving grace of chicken and pork is that the replacement/growth cycle is short, and can respond more quickly to events and the markets than beef.

Beef prices won't recover until the national breeding herd numbers recover. We are at a 70 year low. That was mostly caused by drought and the effects of drought with high fuel costs on feed prices. So many legacy herds were reduced or sold off and so many people gave up. It takes a heifer calf two years to make her first calf, and it takes her steer calf 18 months to get to butcher weight (or more or less the same for her heifer calf to take her place in the the herd and be bred). It's going to be at least 4 years before any improvement, and frankly, it takes (human) generations to rebuild a farm's good beef herd.

Grocery, hard goods, services aren't likely to ever come down in price unless you want to look at a deflationary depression. Good damned luck with that. If our economy can just keep inflation to a reasonable level, eventually wages catch up.

Yes, Houston, we have a problem.

The populist revolution is occurring world-wide - when it can. It takes some SERIOUS governmental mo-jo to get past a populist turn like LePen in France and Bolsenaro in Brazil.

Which kind of makes me think otherwise about Trump - at least for now.

BUT - it is possible that the US being the focal point of influence MIGHT be having someone equal to that task applied thereto.

Appear as a populist - pull in a majority to win - displace the increasingly Leftist/Marxist - and then subtly and then more so steer the ship of state to a more "central course."

The point of course is to keep the "status quo" for all those elite who have SO much of their lives invested IN the status quo.

Owner has repeated a college "political" class of his remembrance. "If they got a truly right wing populist in office, the SYSTEM would keep him tied up in knots for the term of his office, and then when the populist is replaced in four or eight years, continue on their merry way expanding government influence."

A "marking time" if you will - which makes any populist elected merely a "placeholder."

The system by its very design is made to be "self-perpetuating." AND "self-expanding."

Owner says the professor - who termed himself as "independent" - did not have a high opinion of humanity.

The worst thing folks do when times get hard is to not change their lifestyle and spending habits.

Instead of cooking steamed veggies, they order delivery pizza and put it on their credit card. Those $15 a pound steaks go on the credit card. They are still buying fancy new cars, which is destroying their financial path.

I agree with everything Trump said about where I live. I am on a fixed income, but have flourished since retirement. Bidenomics slowed me down, but I adapted. In the short time Trump has been back in office, my financial health has improved. Time to face reality. Things aren't going back to the way they were, Buckwheat!

The dinosaurs could not deal with change, and many among us are in the same boat.

This. I will say it takes time to get the rest of it under control. The issue for me is I don’t really see him working towards making the rest of those statements true in the long term.

None of this is happening in Northern California- sadly as long as the libs stay in power here, nothing will ever change. The rest of the country might do fantastically, but here...not so much. And no, not all of us voted for this; contrary to popular belief not everyone in California is a liberal fruit and/or nut.

The super majority here just voted for a .65 gas tax increase, that puts some areas here around 8.00 a gallon. I go to the market, food prices are still going up...and jobs pfffft...not happening.

On the flip side, I think the border situation is better, getting illegals out is happening...well, not here so much but the rest of the country seems to be getting cleaned up-

Things are going the right direction but we are definitely not where we need to be. Fuel needs to be $1 a gallon, interest rates back down, and business booming. Not happening here in MO. Our businesses are laying off skilled labor which has traditionally not happened in the past. AI is not taking these jobs, the businesses are cost cutting.

Except for the last one, not really.
Where I am, gas is still hovering around 3 bux/gal, meat continues to sky rocket along with everything else, and the border may be closed, but the infection is still in the body.

Rate-Cut Odds Plunge After Payrolls Beat; Trump Demands "Full Point Cut" From Powell

A better than expected headline payrolls print has sparked a surge in stocks and bond yields this morning as the long-await (and hoped for by some) recessionary collapse in the labor market remains elusive.

Even if below the surface things are not so healthy, rate-cut expectations for 2025 have plunged to less than two total cuts (2026 expectations up marginally)...

Never one to miss an opportunity - even on a day when he should probably take a break from social media - President Trump dropped some more advice for Fed Chair Powell:

Strong unemployment, falling inflation, and no signs (except in partisan survey responses) of economic weakness from Trump's tariff-nado. One has to wonder what it is that Powell is waiting for... unlike in September of last year?

Finally, one thought - is this Trump pivoting his rage from Musk to Powell - a far easier, and less wealthy, opposition

Yeah. The Fed has been playing a serious game of politics - trying to postpone a recovery as long as possible. Trump has been pissed about it since January.

I'll give him 2 out of 5: gas has dropped a whole nickel and eggs are now averaging $3.49, down from $6.00 and higher. However, beef and pork have increased, wages in my area are flat, and very little hiring, outside of minimum wage jobs, is going on.

We are not doing significantly better financially. However, I haven't seen any illegals in weeks, so -- YEA! -- that's working.

Agree with WalknTrot. BTW, in Phoenix, eggs are 6.99 for 18. Plenty of jobs, basically a good economy. The Washington Post today stated inflation down and has hit a negative.
