Majority of spaghetti models show intensity to remain as a Tropical Storm for landfall.

Geeez, we're up to the "Z's already? Do you think God is trying to get our attention? Either that or he hates the South, especially Louisiana! You folks need to start living on houseboats at this rate.....or submarines.

Yes, somebody hates us in SW La. We survived Laura and Delta. If this one is like the other two, and they keep moving the track westward, we'll have deal with this one.

I sure wish Tropical season would end! I've not had landline phone or internet since Laura on August 27!

Love the comment about living on houseboats or in a submarine. Actually, my DH is seriously considering a move to NE Alabama. Only thing to deal with weather-wise might be the occasional tornado or a snowstorm.

NO. MORE. HURRICANES!!!!!

"ZETA!!" Are we already up to the Z's in the Greek alphabet? Does that mean that this is the 52nd (26 named+26 lettered = 52) named tropical storm/hurricane this year?!? Could that be right?!?!? OMG!! That's got to be some kind of all time record.

Check actual Greek alphabet. Zeta is sixth? Omega is last.
Thanks PoD.

Oh....OK, my bad, however, that's still a shitte-pot-full of storms at 32 and the storm season is still not over. Whoa.....mind blowing. Between the WET (east & south) Coast drowning, the Mid-west getting blown away with tornadoes and storms and the Left-Coast burning up and EVERYONE in quarantine and out of work across the whole friggen country with this damn Chinese Flu, this is just turning out to be one fricken PEACHY AWeSOME year! :kk2::chg::bhd:

P.S. with next year not looking any too much better. Geeeeez!!

Hang on, some of the 26 letters in our alphabet are not used. Like q z and a few more.

Still a record year and not over yet.

One nice thing about our mountains here is that they tend to be out of reach of hurricanes, mostly.

We've had a spate of small shakers lately however.

Yet again the track puts us dead center in the storm's path. These early tracks are usually inaccurate, so I can only hope that we are missed once again again. Your prayers are appreciated.
You got them, Doc.

Thanks, I too was wondering how we had jumped from Delta "all the way" to Zeta in one swell foop.

Well, poop. I had to travel this week, and am now in AL, scheduled to fly back out Thurs morning. Yesterday evening when I checked the forecast, we were just going to get light rain by Thurs morning, with low winds. Now we are getting a baby hurricane, and it's headed right up my flight path, so I'd have to fly through (or over) the storm to get to the connecting airport, which is now scheduled to be hit by the storm at the time my connecting flight leaves. I'm also moving this weekend, so I needed to be back home by Thurs lunchtime to finish packing and clearing out of the old place, because Fri is our last day there, so it's not like I can just delay everything by a day.

Looks like at this point I will probably drive from AL up to NC to catch my morning flight out from there. Ideally, the storm will slow just slightly. All I need is for it to get from the coast up to its 8am Thurs position at 10am instead and everything will be fine.
