As I recall it makes one resistant or immune to malaria. So sickle cell is very adaptive for those who evolved in malaria zones.

If it is 'totally unrelated to disease' then everybody would start yelling at the sky as soon as you opened up info. concerning the vaccines. With the 2 they chose and the similarities to 'problems caused by the vaccines', no one will, 'get their knickers in a twist'.

Back in the 1970’s, the Army lined up everybody to get tested for sickle cell anemia. I mentioned to one of the doc’s during my time in line that sickle cell was mostly a black thing. His reply was along the lines of, well, you never know what was really in the family line.
So, this is not the first time this has been done, en masse’. Makes me wonder what they are really looking for. Blood from everyone. Wonder what kind of a database could be built - or added to.

The military doing this must be costing millions - something is up. Sickle Cell Trait is a genetic disorder and HIV is a viral infection (supposedly). For a 'full review and retest' by the U.S. Army and all of DOD for both health issues in current announcements at this time (during/after Covid-19 vaccines) is highly suspicious. As someone wrote above, SCD keeps one from entering the military, so this retesting must be for SCT. You can't catch that after enlisting. HIV is probably tested for initially but one can get this later on.
The elephant in the room is the vax. The DOD is seeing something concerning...My guess is the military is seeing a significant increase in deaths with people diagnosed with HIV and people diagnosed with SCT .
I know Fauci said to vax everyone - no matter what their health condition (including pregnant and breast feeding). The manufacturers said way back that people on blood thinners, with auto immune diseases, people with severe allergic reactions, pregnant and breast feeding, plus a few other conditions - should NOT take the vax.
Just my thoughts for now...

The main fly in the ointment being that info is already starting to come out indicating that the Vaxx causes a form of AIDS. So the questions are already starting, as we can see right on this thread, that what if it really is the Vaxx and now if so, does the Vaxx also induce sickle cell?
I do get what you're saying; that both diseases cause symptoms similar to those caused by the Vaxx. They should have picked something other than AIDS though if that's what they're doing, because the Vaxx apparently causes AIDS too.

There was also speculation that the sickle cell inclusion was in order to provide the smokescreen, and permit them to claim that studies were done and condition not found. Unfortunately, any thing is possible.

If this is the case I can think of one reason that the Sickle Cell thing may be included that is not a distraction.
Sickle Cell both in its African and Meditrainian (mostly Greek) forms is caused by parents who EACH carry the ONE gene that protects them from Malaria. When two people with this gene make a baby, if the genetic lottery is lost, the baby gets two copies of the gene and usually dies of the sickle cell before the age of 30, often much earlier.
I have no idea if the military has screens for "Single Gene" carriers, my hunch is they probably didn't because those people don't get sick (at least not usually).
However, if the vaccine is doing weird things like bringing on HIV like symptoms in previously health people, it would not shock me if something in it (or some batches) somehow activated that single gene in carriers to cause the body to develop full blown sickle cell.
If the military already tested for carriers, they would already know who was most at risk for this issue.
This is a totally untested theory and just some of my thoughts, but if this story is real we should pay attention to it - there are enough members in the DOD, military or have family who are how will probably hear at least about the testing part very soon.

This is a complicated personal “story” to add here and I’m not sure how this fits in, but?
All winter long after the Covid incident DH had in December-January I was either sick with very small fever spikes or felt rotten.
Or bordering on rotten.
All the time. To the point of panic.
I won’t go into all that in detail, because it’s just too much for this thread.
I had a bad, ongoing sinus infection as well as oral thrush.
I had full blood panels; I was tested for Covid 6 times; strep test, both flu strains, mononucleosis; throat cultures; chest X-rays; CAT scan of my head and sinus cavity; I saw an ENT who said I was “going through long term Covid symptoms even though I’d tested negative”…. Then, I finally wound up at an infectious disease doctor appointment because no one else could figure me out lol.
She couldn’t find much either soooo, and since they didn’t find diabetes as the problem, she said, “the next thing on their protocols is HIV testing”
Ooookay.
But what got my attention was during that appointment she asked me twice, whether I’d been vaccinated or not. I’m so gun shy about being given the stink eye over it from doctors, I didn’t push for why she kept asking me
HOWEVER ….she was emphatically asking if I’d had the vaxx or not, BEFORE she sent over the order for the HIV test!
Now I wish I’d have pushed her to tell me why!
There was just so much going on that day.
(by the way, I don’t have HIV either. I went through with that test, just because. To add, she’s was an Indian doctor of some kind, so I think maybe she’s more open and aware of vaxx issues than most American doctors are)

Perhaps they're gearing up for a long-term deployment (gee, wonder where?) and want to make sure those with long-term, serious health problems aren't on the battlefield? Two pages of back and forth about vaccine side effects, nobody thought of this??
