Ever come across Diacin night vision Google's while serving over in Nam , I have spoken to a few older service members about these , from pilots to gunners whom had access to them and all had interesting stories to share with me , all are now sadly passed away , but the reaction I saw
to one former helicopter pilot when he posted a picture of his helmet and goggles from his fellow servicemen that he never handed back told me their was more to that story than urban legend.

Plus I spoke with a very very intelligent scientist who worked at a government laboratory years ago who applied to test the chemical when the ban on it run out and the government forgot to renew it, He was pulled into a office and told put in a request like that again and you will no longer work here

Sorry, I can't help you there. The only NVG I saw back then was the 1st gen. Grainy, black and green. Hard to distinguish anything. That was in basic in 1968. I went active in 1970 and was in country in 1971. Never saw NVG in my jobs there.

The old guys I spoke with seemed straight shooters and what I read up on medical reports all came back clear on the guys who were tested , The strange thing I came across was that officers were banned from even trying them out and were threatened with court martial if they did

This makes no sense. Pilots, the ones who would be using night vision goggles are officers. But officers were banned from even trying them out and were threatened with court martial if they did.
ABSOLUTE NONSENSE.
