The Great Treasure
Once a long time ago there was a kingdom with a great wealth. The story was told that it held the greatest treasure there ever was. All the land was filled with happy loving people. Their wealth grew with each passing day, and they were prosperous. All the kingdoms wanted their treasure, and many tried to take it. All that tried were defeated.
Then the time came when a great Nation went to war to take this great treasure. They knew with its wealth they too would be happy and prosperous. The war went on for years at the cost of many lives, but the great Nation never gave up. Being big and powerful they could fight for years more.
The time came when most of the men in the kingdom had died in the war, but their resolve never ended. Then women stepped up to fight, and the children joined in.
The great Nation made one last drive destroying them all. Now they opened the chamber with the treasure, and on the stone floor it read. “Buried here is the greatest treasure of all time.”
They pried the large stone from the floor, and on the back it read. “The greatest treasure is to Love One Another.”
