I hate to say this, but even with a perfect set of conditions and intervention, the 7 year old is probably already lost as well. At the very least he will be an emotional cripple.

Yeah, you’re probably correct…still it would be worth a try to have the 7y/o witness his brother’s public flogging and eventual hanging for his next offense…

That might make an impact…worth a try, eh? 1711424550030.png

Oh sure. It's definitely worth a try, I believe that all things are possible with God. I also understand that sometimes the damage is not fixable, so we should have realistic expectations.

I give up.
Well, at least the lady isn't dead:

A woman is in critical condition after Harris County, Texas, authorities say she was stabbed by two children.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said in a social media release Saturday that deputies responded to a residential neighborhood northwest of Houston.

Police believe the woman in her 50s was stabbed by two kids who immediately fled the scene. The woman was in critical condition over the weekend but recovering Monday, police said.

Sheriff's Office spokesperson Thomas Gilliland told USA TODAY a family member called 911 for the woman after she said the boy "poked her in the stomach," and he saw the wounds.

A 12-year-old boy was charged with aggravated assault, and he was brought into custody. A 7-year-old also allegedly involved was not charged, as the minimum age for criminal charges is 10-years-old in Texas.

Police said Child Protective Services was notified and the investigation is ongoing.

Mother of charged 12-year-old apologizes

Click 2 Houston reported that the two boys, who were brothers, got into an argument with the 59-year-old woman, rode their bikes away and then returned 12 minutes later while she was in her garage, where the incident occurred.

The woman was stabbed several times in the abdomen, according to Click 2 Houston.

“I’m sorry to the family. I’m very sorry that my son’s committed the incident. And I’m praying for your health, for your wellness,” the mother said, according to Click 2 Houston, adding that her son has some mental health problems.

A neighbor identified the boys as being from the neighborhood, according to local station ABC13.

"Never did any of us think that it was going to be kids from the neighborhood that came in and attacked her," the neighbor, who asked not to be identified, told ABC 13. "If they have the ability to go and do that to an older woman who clearly has mental issues after our neighbor down the road tells them, 'Hey, leave her alone,' it's a concern."

'He's just a boy. We learn from our mistakes': Texas mom of 12-year-old child who stabbed and almost killed 56-year-old mentally ill woman DOWNPLAYS his crime

The Texas mother of a 12-year-old boy who was arrested after almost killing a 59-year-old woman after stabbing her, has apologized to the victim and her family claiming 'he struggles from mental problems'.

The shocking attack occurred outside of her Houston home on Saturday afternoon and saw the woman stabbed several times in the abdomen.

'I'm sorry to the family. I'm very sorry that my son's committed the incident. And I'm praying for your health, for your wellness,' the boy's mother said to Click2Houston.

'He have some mental issues. My son, he struggles from his mental problems,' she continued, seemingly downplaying his violent outburst. 'But he's just a boy. They all are - and we all learn from our mistakes.'

The boy remains in police custody, while his younger seven-year-old brother who was beside him at the time remains free, as he was not deemed to be culpable.

Looks to be a decent, middle-class neighborhood in a cul-de-sac. The boys have decent-looking bikes and clothing, not impoverished.
This appears to be the outcome of a lack of proper parenting and teaching of morals and behavior in civilized society. Lack of respect for others. The 13% problem has been getting worse exponentially since Obama. In my local interactions, I've not encountered any real issues, but... you can usually feel a "vibe" from the ones easily triggered and at risk of going feral. Make sure to steer clear.

Someone needs to explain "mistake" and "overt, premeditated action" to this woman.
From the timeline of confrontation/engagement w/ victim to leaving and returning tells me Thug 1 left to procure the knife then returned to settle the dispute.

4-5 minutes home, 2-4 to select and maybe sharpen knife and 4 min ± back to scene

Thug 1's momma needs to check her kitchen knives
