Tastes like Spam.

So I'm out getting some grub and looking over the canned 'meat'.

They have these single serving Spam slices-bout 1/3" thick-a little pricey at nearly a dollar a slice but unless you like humping cans in you BOB or for a day hike the cost can be ignored. I wouldn't want to prep my pantry with it but for a car or whatever it'd work.

Anyway. The stuff is vacpac in aluminum foil sealed bags

Dated Nov 08 but you know Spam-it'll prolly outlast me, you, yer kids and grandkids

Anyway-tastes like Spam, looks like Span and eats like the stuff too.

The advertising on the package leaves something to be desired...

"I'T's SO QUICK AND EASY! Just rip and tear your way to CRAZY TASTY town!"

"This dotted line is like a freeway. A freeway to a delicious expplosion in your mouth!"

Well, we've got a whole generation of young people who can't cook -- if our DIL's and DS's girlfriends are any indication . . . So, gotta keep the instructions simple! :lkick:

I could use some TUMS

Satanta,
I ate the SPAM mentioned on your thread, puked when I saw what CSPAN was reporting (Flipper's thread) and got the dry heaves viewing the Brown Recluse bite pics on Ozarkian's thread. Anybody have any TUMS? :kk2:

Fecund, do you remember that old song, "Put the lime in the coconut and call me in the morning . . . "

Yep, those have been out for quite some time. They have them in the Turkey SPAM too. (I call it Spurkey) I have some in my desk drawer for a quick bug out. They last a long time but I still don't want to leave them in a hot vehicle. I rotate them out. Yes, I do eat them on a regular basis. I love SPAM!!! Fried SPAM with mustard and horseradish, mm mm that's good eats right there!
Rat bastards at Wally seem to have quit carrying them though.

Get the cans of Spam. They last a long time. If you slice it thin and fry it, it's just like bacon. I stock up when I find them on sale.
