Dear God I'd go nuts with no hobbies! I did pretty well up until the Derecho hit and day four with no electricity I absolutely lost my shit. OC came home from work and his comment entering the kitchen was Oh Look someone has gone stir crazy! I had had it with being in the dark for four days, our house is dark during the day due to the huge eaves off the roof. Keeps it nice and cool and also dark. I've remedied some of those holes we now have a battery operated radio, and a battery operated desk light, led. We already had the two LED lanterns but they're not nearly as bright as the desk lamp. So I did manage to write quite a bit, do some sketching, etc., but after awhile my eyes hurt and had to rest them. Sitting outside wasn't going to happen because it was really hot, humid, and no wind. But to have no hobbies at all, ummm no. Maybe you should tell her to take up writing NaNoWriMo is coming up in November.

Thank you! I'll pass it on to her. She does read a lot ( speed reads, like a books a day! ) and offered to proof read my husband's college papers. ( his job moved out of state and we had no desire to move from here so he decided to use his military benefits and go back to school) You can tell she's always been in a fast, high pressure environment. She has a hard time focusing her attention on one thing for any length of time.

Like you, I have more interests than I can shake a stick at. Never did any jewelry making. For sketching, I like to go to Google maps, street view, and wander the country lanes of England and draw some of the beautiful, old, stone cottages or village scenes. Have you thought of designing greeting cards? I have a little shop online at Greeting Card Universe. I don't advertise it, but people do find it and it's a little extra stream of income. - though the commission they pay is lousy. :( Was doing good on Etsy but they made some changes that got my knickers in a twist and I closed the shop.

I license my work. I need to get my studio spaces cleaned and organized so I can start getting some new designs done and send them out. I hate etsy and closed my store years ago.
